Neh Bad Aaron pretty good tips there - I would go as far to say JCVD has two various ways to do this - not kicking too high - he isn't that tall after all and niether are his opponents and utilising the arms above head twisting jump technique that give his kick one with alot of power in his torque as you mentioned as in the pot smash from KBoxer and the one with more of a stretch like - HTarget and The Quest where is arms play more of a role emphasising his height and his leg stretch. Also Camera angle hugely complements his techniques. Nice work GNT- am gonna check out your Flashkick now great lockdown homework. 🤙💪

Jump spin hook is usually done without a split, this is basically how to split it and the angle of the kick changes slightly :)

Sir..With watching Ufc ...one question come in mind...WHY UFC FIGHTER DON'T USE THIS SPONNING KICK???..IS THIS KICK NOG ALLOWED??
Its basically because this kick is for show and not for real fighting. As its very hard to generate real power with it. Plus high risk low reward.
Can you also do quad copter kick or drone kick.

I practice Ju jitsu myself, Kali and Kickboxing... Had to start out on the bag at home, and keep going from where I left off at kickboxing, as the club didn't go so well, and the trainer shut it down. Oh well, I get my 1. dan ju jitsu in october, I'll follow your tutorials on stretching in order to acheive more flexibility, it's really common that the instructors are out of shape and not really flexible... I'm not gonna be one of them. Thank you very much, keep going!

only way id use this in combat is if the guy was blocking a punch combination XD
Then it would probably not be a split, just a regular jump spin kick. This is just for the movies or demonstrations :)

Your methods of teatching are awsome thak you for sharing with us but i have one request if you do an other statique stretching with the same time for both sides because when i stretch i put on your video and stretch with you. but in your advance statique stretching video you stretch only one side and that make it hard to keep up with u while stretching. How about Scott Adkins' butterfly twist round kick? I've seen him do it in the Undisputed movies and even in one of your samplers.
Probably best to have a b-twist tutorial up before that but great suggestion :)
hey gingerninjatrickster i know when you said the 540 kick was for demonstration only but i did it in a sparring match and luckily enough it worked
That's great! I have pulled it off too but it's very risky hence why I say it's mainly for demonstrational purposes.
If your already bouncing up and down on your toes like bruce lee then would the opponent realise you do the little double jump van damme does before the kick?

That is what the video is for. Follow the advice in the video for how I kick the back leg to split it :)

I personally don't how you feel about Martial Arts and Fighting Mr.Ginger Trickster But Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme Has Really Inspired me to wanna be able to kick just like Van Damme and punch hard and fast like Bruce Lee and i honestly believe that you served Van Damme Justice and you would make him proud cuz you took his most famous kick of all and Literally PERFECTED His Helicopter Kick to The T and you inspired me so much more ever since i found this video and one day i wanna prove to myself and the whole world around me that the Helicopter Kick and The Jumping Spinning Roundhouse Kick can be used as a REAL Knockout Kick in the UFC but it upsets me so much how people doubt this kick as a Knockout Kick cuz i believe that anything is possible in a fight cuz it's ALL About The Timing and How You Set Up Your Punches and Kicks....But The BEST Way to Use The Helicopter Kick Is After You Have Your Opponent Stunned.....Have You Ever Thought About Fighting Professionally In The UFC?

Van Damme is One of the Best Martial Art Superstar . I like him MOST from Bloodsport I . That's truly Classic Work of him , A lot of Beautiful Kicks .

If you put the pads up to your head, both legs remain more horizontally. As you have a good jump, the effect will be much clearer.

True. I like to show height with the kick when demonstrating. It's easy enough to level it out and make the adjustment so it's more horizontal if that's what you want to go for :)
