Mate, this one felt cursed. 4 straight combo matches (3 against decks that the missing Thalias might've helped against), only to be muted for most of the only match where you actually got to play some Magic? I don't know what you did to pee in Dr. Garfield's Cheerios, but apparently it was pretty bad.
Against oops can you maccabre dread return and bridge? Then they have to put return or oracle back in deck but either way they can’t dread return the chancellor.
I think this is comfortably the worst version of D&T currently. I’m one of those sad souls that play almost exclusively D&T. Mardu is probably the best right now, then boros. The deck has always been difficult to win with without a lot of reps with it although that match up spread was particularly brutal.
I think your conclusion on D&T is pretty standard for someone who hasn't played the deck a whole lot. The deck is solid in competent hands and like almost every other deck in Legacy it has its good and bad matchups. You definitely had some very loose keeps and questionable lines in your games here which smells of inexperience.
I'm always very clear about how I am not a DnT player xD I do think it has to work harder than other decks and the data does reflect that at the moment. DnT is usually 4-5% of the meta at any given time, but it's now like 2.5% and that's a Boros build. White DnT doesn't appear in the top 50 most played decks on Goldfish which I think speaks volumes.
I just didn't agree with your advice for it not being a good choice for larger tournaments. Various flavours of D&T put up decent results at Asia Eternal Weekend. I think better advice would have been "If you haven't got a lot of reps in with D&T, I wouldn't recommend it for larger events". Also according to mtggoldfish it's the 8th most played deck in the meta right now. Not sure where you're getting your numbers from.
@@AlexanderPeterLayWaugh Monowhite DnT isn't too big in the meta really as Boros DnT seems to be the one people are opting for. Boros DnT is the 8th most played deck but it's also at a very low % for general DnT representation in Legacy. I agree I am probably lower on the deck than it deserves, but I think it is a bad choice for Eternal Weekend as you rarely get to the grinding stage where the deck pulls ahead. Also you have to pretty much dodge combo decks for the whole tournament, which is tough in larger events, although not impossible. I think the level of experience to play DnT and do well with it in the meta is very high and picking it up now to play it in EW will not give anyone enough time to get good enough with it. If you are a DnT player and more reps with it that other stuff, then the percentage you get playing that deck over other stuff will be significant, which is often the case for non-blue decks in the format. Sorry if it came across as too negative, just giving my thoughts.
Drop Thalia, then immediately get paired versus three spell-based combo decks. Sounds about right. :p
Classic Japanese lists being the weirdest things in existence

Cataclysm in the board, legacy is healing

As long as they don't have lethal Damage over those three turns from other things it can work.

I know full well I was not playing this league optimally, but I agree that the list felt bad and the matchups were a bit Lemony Snicket for sure.
thanks for not playing garbage pioneer
you’re a garbage pioneer

match 1-2 is the reason why you dont play this game, chose wrong deck for the MU, can't win, dont even reallly get to play or take turns. lol
