Coquihalla Bridge Out - Four Rungs To Freedom
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 гру 2021
- After high water took out road and bridges we've been confined to an area around our home on a stretch of the Coquihalla Highway. We decided to document the highway condition and repairs along with a bit of our own experience. In this video Jer climbs down a ladder to step on the other side for the first time in 22 days. Also the next day construction vehicles are coming across the bridge at Sowaqua.
I’m addicted to these updates. Rarely comment, but appreciate what y’all are doing.
Thanks for watching! 😁👍🏼 really appreciate knowing people are interested!
Same!. I've been driving there a few years back quite a bit. Was curious how the construction was going along there. So glad you guys were putting up these videos! watching every single one! thanks! and glad you're finally out to the civilization!
Same here, so glad you guys made these videos.
Incredible progress, breakthrough. Blows me away. This is fun to watch. DON'T you dare stop reporting!!!!
Jeremiah left you some big boots to fill. Love these updates because straight facts on progress, no fluff. It's deeply appreciated. 🙏👍
You guys really made some lifelong friends through this crazy adventure!!
Keep these updates coming as you guy's are 1000% better than the official news channels, Awesome job!!!
As has been said before, why should mainstream news report this? It isn't important to the average person and is a minor story in the big picture of news.
@@alan4sure It's the quality. It wouldn't matter if mainstream news sources spent the exact same amount of time covering this, it wouldn't be any where close to the quality of information found here. It would be all pretty pictures, sound bites and ZERO real information.
@@piquat1 the public doesn't care about detail. A few pics would satisfy 99% of viewers for this topic though.
@@alan4sure Nope, they will watch hours of others misery. Dead wrong there, it's what they live on. They just have other things to tell you that have nothing to do with news because they don't exist to give you any useful news, it's not their purpose. They'll tell you what to be interested in, and you'll like it.
@@piquat1 and if all the mainstream media did was show one little news item in more detail than necessary, you'd complain about that, too. An overview of multiple news stories is far more interesting and useful to the general public and that's why they do it. Do you think anyone east of Revelstoke really cares to see this story in this much detail? Of course not, they're getting on with life and following other news. This is more a local story for those directly affected.
You guys are my #1 go to to find out what’s really going on up there. 👍 Please keep up the great work.
Appreciate the updates on the ground with solid close up detail of the construction work. Amazing editing and talk through...mustache rocks!
Jeremiah you are a natural talent as a reporter. Too bad your day job got in the way of your daily updates. I quit watching the provincial updates and I just watch you instead because you’re the man on the ground and you know up to the minute what’s going down. Even when the road is fixed you’re gonna have to keep on with your regular updates because I think you got a pretty strong following and perhaps you could call it the moustache files.
He should be recognized by Main Stream and hire big time to report Coq situations always !!
From your first storm damage video through to this milestone shows such amazing progress! Really love your coverage. Thanks guys.
The moustache looks class!
Amazing progress, thank you to all the individuals involved.
Merry Christmas to all.🎄🎄🎄
Astounding what can be done. These are difficult conditions, with even tougher people doing the job.
You guys are doing a great job of documenting the progress! Huge service to BC community, THANKS!!
Wow, whomever is directing this massive undertaking is doing an amazing job 👏 🙌 👌
Keep up the video work, it keeps all of us informed on what's really going on. Every day I look forward to an update. Thank You
You guys have a great time there between the house and the rv,you need to remain friends after the rds fixed,I bet there's never a dull moment
Exceptional coverage, love seeing the progress. Thanks & stay safe!
Glad to see your back to work, you need a pay check after all this time really like seeing progress on the highway keep it up great job
Well look who’s put the work boots back on! Jeremiah you sir are an old soul , the first time I met you at your work site you were so very helpful and I commented on your stash and you remind me of my uncles who had the same style when they served in the Canadian army during WW2 ! It’s a classic and never change it! Your updates start our day at 02:00 each morning , the SteBros UA-cam channel is the only one we watch mostly every day/night ! So thank you so much to you and your entire family. Please stay safe guys and will see ya in Hope when we come out to our home on wheels !Cheers guys👍
Oh thanks for sharing this. What a great job they’re doing. Be safe.
Great job on these videos! Better coverage of the situation than I've seen anywhere else. Keep it up!
He’s right, the moustache is amazing
Encouraging seeing that much progress, now they can get through from that end to tackle the next washout.
Wow exciting. Enjoy these updates immensely, thank you Jeremiah and Mark. :)
Great coverage, and so much respect for construction crew people. Me not religious, but pray for the safety of all these hardy souls. This is risky business, heads must be on swivels ! ❤️👍🇨🇦
The only real news left in this world. You guys are awesome I love the daily updates and videos keep it up 👍🏻
Thank You Guys for All the Updates you have been sharing ! Been Amazing watching not only what had happened.. but the 'Incredible Job Everyone is Doing' ! Stay Safe.. !
Thanks again for the updates. God bless yall 🙏🏼

Well now it is off to work you go the hard hat fits .THANK YOU for taking the time to video all the crazy things going on .A tip of the old hat to you all .thank you from both sides of the border 😇
Having you folks meeting each other is silver lining in all this.
Never underestimate the power of the moustache.
Thanks for taking over the updates. This is the best info we could have- up close and real.
very interesting! I'm amazed they can find that much material so quickly
Some wonderful things come out of horrible things. The friends you made are terrific and I have a feeling you’ll end up being friends for many years to come. At least I hope so.
Thanks for this. Pretty amazing how fast they are going.
My goshh, without You channel we would know nothing from main stream media about the progress. I am truck driver and super tired of the " go figure" detours. God Bless You !!!!!
Omg. This is AMAZING NEWS! Love watching your daily updates. Thank you.
Great Video & I Truly Hope That You Guys Will Keep Doing These Amazing Daily Updates Until At Least Feb 2022
i am so impressed at how fast they have been working
Thank you for all theses wonderful videos and updates.
Love your on the spot updates!!!
Thanks for your updates! You've done such a great job!
Good job dad
Great updates. Very helpful. Cheers and stay warm!
You're actually giving better reporting than the lame stream media is, I've been watching for your daily updates and you show us exactly what is being done with your area, do you have any idea as to how bad the Cocahala actually is and are you going to keep giving updates as the highways reopen
Msm and the public doesn't care or need to know about this. It doesn't affect 99% of Canadians.
I’m in upstate New York and care about what’s happening in BC. I watch these updates every morning!
@@alan4sure I’d say it affects 99% of Canadians. Not just the 10% of residents who live on the west coast, but also all those to the east who depend upon import & export of goods and commodities through the port of Vancouver.
The media doesn’t need to report the updates, except milestones and reopening etc. It’s the job of the provincial government to maintain constant, clear and accurate updates via their public websites.
SteBros are doing a great job, and adding the human side of the story. Keep it up guys!
I don't travel the Coquihala but thank you for working on this for those that do.
Thanks for making these! Love the updates.
I really appreciate the updates!
Thanks a lot.
Thanks again for updates and a great video.
Wonderful to see the progress you determined folks are showing. Best wishes to you Canadians. God Bless & stay safe & live long & prosper.
Glad for the updates !!
Thanks for the update!
Best report anywhere
I look forward to checking your update every day, you guys are doing a really amazing service.
Better than the news, thank you!
great content ...really interesting ..and it would make an interesting movie ...
Gonna miss Jer 😍
I miss Canadian’s having been unable to travel there from Washington state due to CoV-19. Planning a trip to visit in July 2022. You guys are doing a stellar job up there. I wish America’s work crews were as responsive 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks for taking the time to post this ❤️ hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New year 🥳
You guys are awesome.
I'm on the other side of the continent following your posts and how you're coping with this disaster.
ou guys are so resourceful (and good videographers, too)
Good on you!
I love these videos.
Happy 😊 holiday and happy season.
Thank you heros
I know you had to get back to work to pay the bills but keep this channel going and you might make more here. Come up with some merch, maybe some behind the scenes, channel memberships etc.
Either way, loving this channel 👍
Wow! ... traffic finally moving. (heavily restricted, I know, but, wow!) That's awesome
Could we get an update on the exposed pipelines - would love to see what they look like?
That's way up at the Kettle Valley Rail area which is inaccessible to public.
@@Peglegkickboxer There are two abandoned pipelines they showed in one of the first videos. They belong to Westcoast Energy. Thrust me I know.....
Glad to see a paycheck resuming, we'll need to know the response from work about the 'stash".
Asphalt that has been milled from existing roads as part of the resurfacing contracts can be used in place of gravel, it has the advantage of packing better as well as being water-proof and as resistant to erosion as cement. 6" fill and deeper is required.
Happy Trails just stay safe from Michigan
3:02 rare cat dump truck sighting
Definitely channeling Snidley Whiplash with that moustache.
thanks for sharing
I think those last surveyors were for telecom/fiber not pipeline. The signs on the stakes read "Telus".
Would make sense since a lot of their cables were hit
Great job welcome back to the real world
At least they got to keep their home/cabin and can enjoy this situation like a group of bad @sses. What a cool story for the grandkids.
you guys should make a fund raiser to build a cable suspension foot bridge over the river it would make a really cool hiking trail and give access if the bridges wash out again
SWEET!!!
I’m interested in the building updates.
That was good news. The temp span will prolly be better than the span which fell.
As usual excellent work, P/S. That brush under your nose is getting pretty wide LOL
Where did Jeremiah go to? I didn’t understand that part.
I had to go back to work. The bills don’t pay themselves
@@jeremiahsteberl9418 oh gotcha. I sorta figured. Do you do construction 🚧?
You two look alike
👍👍
I used to live right beside you guys in a trailer on the mountainside. I left it there 5 years ago
What's happening at the bridge further north?
👍🏼 🍻
Amazing how much progress they made in such a short time. 1 down, 4 more to go?
Was there 5 sections damaged? I am still a bit confused.
@@sheriroch9905 at least yes
My link disappeared but the images are on Tran BC through twitter
i'll be sad when mike is gone
I take it the bridge at Othello is okay then?
im really supersized they did not have some carpenters throw up a quick scaffold stair tower for you guys
been loving the videos. You ruined it though, now everyone knows you can go back to work, ha
Four Rungs To Freedom. The Movie. Directed by Jeremiah and Family!
"Trucks and Vehicle Combinations over 11,794 Kg Licensed Gross Vehicle Weight Must Use Tire Chains" But if you are licensed for 11,793 kg you don't "need" the tire chains! Sounds suspiciously like 26,000 lbs. 13 tons and what do you get? Another mile over and deeper in wet.
Now why cant the do work this fast all the time ??
Traffic gets in the way 🚘🚗🛺🚌🚓🚌🏎️🚕🚔🚒🚚🚛🛻🤠
@@lauriejohnson8512 night shift bud 24 he clock
One down, eighty to go...
Where’s Jammie Davis?
I think he's stuck down in the lower mainland lol
Have them fix that dislike button...but we don't use it.
Hugs, no mask, standing close what about the China flu ?????
1 person actually working 6 standing around watching
The faster you want a project done, the more people you need standing around ready to step in when they are needed.
That's been the American way for as long as I can remember. Stay strong Canada!
i hear what you're saying but the ones standing can't be doing something every minute. Sometimes you gotta move aside and let machinery do some work and then jump back in.
Looking at the progress, I think they're working pretty hard
