Coquihalla Bridge Out - Four Rungs To Freedom

  • After high water took out road and bridges we've been confined to an area around our home on a stretch of the Coquihalla Highway. We decided to document the highway condition and repairs along with a bit of our own experience. In this video Jer climbs down a ladder to step on the other side for the first time in 22 days. Also the next day construction vehicles are coming across the bridge at Sowaqua.

      As has been said before, why should mainstream news report this? It isn't important to the average person and is a minor story in the big picture of news.

      @@alan4sure It's the quality. It wouldn't matter if mainstream news sources spent the exact same amount of time covering this, it wouldn't be any where close to the quality of information found here. It would be all pretty pictures, sound bites and ZERO real information.

      @@alan4sure Nope, they will watch hours of others misery. Dead wrong there, it's what they live on. They just have other things to tell you that have nothing to do with news because they don't exist to give you any useful news, it's not their purpose. They'll tell you what to be interested in, and you'll like it.

    • @alan4sure
      @alan4sure 2 роки тому

      @@piquat1 and if all the mainstream media did was show one little news item in more detail than necessary, you'd complain about that, too. An overview of multiple news stories is far more interesting and useful to the general public and that's why they do it. Do you think anyone east of Revelstoke really cares to see this story in this much detail? Of course not, they're getting on with life and following other news. This is more a local story for those directly affected.

    Jeremiah you are a natural talent as a reporter. Too bad your day job got in the way of your daily updates. I quit watching the provincial updates and I just watch you instead because you’re the man on the ground and you know up to the minute what’s going down. Even when the road is fixed you’re gonna have to keep on with your regular updates because I think you got a pretty strong following and perhaps you could call it the moustache files.
