Strangly, I met a lady in my neighborhood who was visiting her future mother in law. We engaged in conversation and she told me that she was cancer free. She had Glioblastoma and is in remission for 15 years. She gave me hope and courage to know that I can beat this thing also. I start my treatment Tuesday for my optune. Pray for me.
Hy brother! How are you now? I'm Brazilian and I was diagnosed with glioblastoma too. I like to listen this history of the lady. (I'm sorry for the mistakes)
I have the Glioblastoma that is Unmethyated. That’s the kind that chemo doesn’t work on. You get these statistics on Google that say most will die in 12-18 months. And with Optune they say many live a little longer. Also, on many it doesn’t work at all. I looked at it like I could live 18 months with a normal life and hair or 24 months with a regularly shaved head with electric things stick on my head and a battery pack for 18 hours a day. I did a year of chemo and passed on this. I’m at month 18 and my tumors still haven’t come back. If I had worn it they would be taking credit and I would have believed it was working. The reality is everyone is different.
thanks but ive decided it gets my core temp up too much and its causing the skin irritations but it did also grow another tumor very fast with it on around july-sep
@@jonaslafonte9070 thank you for praying, to be honest I had a very hard time deciding between claimed benefits and Al the trouble I had with it. I decided to not continue. I’ve had skin issues that caused open wounds and I couldn’t go outside over 70 degreees. And I can’t expect my wife to help me every few days, she works hard enough. Novocure also would not send me any proof that it works which is odd to me
@@brandoncarlsness3080 I'm sorry that you've run into complications. My wife was diagnosed with GBM a month ago, she had 90% of it removed and started temador and radiation last week. Her oncologist also recommended trying Optune out later down the road. It's all so scary and shocking, but we're doing out best to get through. I'll definitely pray for you and your wife, for strength and preserverance

I'm researching this for my sister. I appreciate the information you've shared here.
My father has just been prescribed this treatment after his surgery and many months of chemo and radiation, I hope this actually works…
I would like to hear a follow up and your thoughts on it
I pray it extends your life as much as possible!

Dr nay is an amazing person and neural oncologist. I've been lucky to have added him to my glioblastoma team.
