How good was Kazu Miura actually? #GOAT
New video about one of the most talked about players we've seen over the 2020s in football. In this episode we take on Kazu Miura who played for Santos, Genoa, Tokyo Verdy, Vissel Kobe etc. for most of his career.

King Kazu's story is amazing and unique within football lore. I doubt anyone will ever equal his legacy and longevity in the sport!
❤❤
He is a champion 💪
Well Gigi Buffon Is 45 and still playing
@@elijah420stuffs2And he’s a GK. GKs have longer longevity on average in comparison to outfield players, so u can’t really compare the 2 as much
the antediluvian king has spoken
Man said 'Baseball' with malice 🤣
Oh u heard it too 😂😂😂
Definite malice. I'm a fan of baseball, but having grown up in the US in the 80's as a soccer player, I know the feeling of playing a game that very few people around you understand or respect. Great video and tribute!

He did to 😂😂
It says a lot about the person Kazu Miura that he's still playing at this age and everyone seems to still regard him with smiles. I've not heard anyone talk about him as some hanger-on who can't stop playing, but instead he's someone who just has a love of the game and loves to help people enjoy the game. He's not the player he once was, but he's someone who just has an undying enjoyment of it and just likes making people happy. Here's to King Kazu the Panda.
Alot like Jagr with hockey
This channel is way better than Raymar's. Man actually highlights players, shares football history and doesn't focus on popularity or what's hot. He teaches you about the history of the sport and the players who played a part in making it what it is.
Raymar sometimes copy his work
@@jacquesburgers1348 Oh wow I didn't notice
Raymar a huge Ronaldo meat rider he didn't do a video for Argentina winning the WC
Raymar was better when he was doing less frequent vids and not focusing on brand deals. Now he just finds a load of ways to compliment a player for 10 mins.
@@jackdudley7258yeah
There are now players who were *born* after his debut who are retiring, and they're even in an age where it would seem "normal" for a player to retire (mid-30s)
Damn
@@Jon14141 this even tops how players like Buffon managed to play with a player and his son (Buffon with Thuram)
Goalkeepers in general retire later though , so not an entirely equal comparison.. Stil cool
This guy's narration is is pure class 😂😂i don't think these clips would be same without it
I'm really proud that he played for my Santos FC. Along with the Japanese GOAT, we had in our club the historic GOAT Pelé, the Queen of football Marta, the GOAT of futsal Falcão and Neymar. Cheers from Santos Kazu, we're proud of having you in our glorious history
Miura earns my respect big time. Still playing till this day and will only call it quits when he's ready. A rare trait of players who plays for the love of the game.
He's one of the reason why we love footbal and why we call it the beautiful game
Kazu should be immortalized as a legend in future football games. Konami has already made several tributes for Kazu in the PES/eFootball Franchise, ironic when he played even before the game was called PES. I think the only player left who has been in the ISS Era, Winning Eleven Era, PES Era, and eFootball Era. 😂
Honestly I love all type of Asian football players, all humble yet talented and always have the ability to draw in crowds of loyal and admiring fans
King Kazu laid the foundation now it's up to Japan to chase the World Cup just like in Captain Tsubasa. Also, as far as I know the 22 World Cup is Japan's best showing v Germany. They also put in a valiant effort against former finalists in the form of Croatia.

AYOOOO
That’s wingman material lol
Thank you for making this video. It brought back memories when I watched him as a child on tv during the 1998 World Cup qualifiers. I was in awe of him he was my hero alongwith with Hidetoshi Nakata and Ali Daei.
As an outsider it always seemed that Japan's Squad had some special players with unique stories/vitas - I have special memories with Shunsuke Nakamura in the UEFA cup for Celtic.
I appreciate so much the amount of footage you managed to put together, great video, I hope everyone has a nice a day!
Mans was in the first and the last fifa game what a fucking legend
Wasn’t in fifa 23😢
Why did they stop doing them? I want a Legend match between CR7 and Messi before they retire
@@falconeshield Greedy EA doesn't want to pay for the FIFA name and changed the game's name to EA Sports FC
Hey Mr. Lucas,
Ive been watching your videos since the world cup in qatar and i want to thank you for helping me get through some tough times. your weekly uploads gave me something to look forward to when things got rough and bleak and it would really make me happy hearing your voice and your enthusiasm and glee when you talk about these players and ill feel so happy when i get a notification that youve uploaded
and i always feel so glad and happy when you begin your videos with your iconic line:
"So, listen to this..." makes me so excited for the next video already
ive been watching your videos religiously and ive never missed a single week since i started and i honestly dont know how else to express my gratitude...
please never stop uploading these videos and never stop doing what youre doing, because as your channel's bio says you truly do have the best football documentaries on youtube.
God bless you Mr. Lucas, and I hope you are doing well and you are healthy ♥
1:04 it’s not a misconception, rather, the author of the series didn’t have Tubasa based on any real life players but has since said that the character is most similar to King Kazu
Its all about energy and talent. You still got those attributes there is no reason to retire. Long may it continue 👍🏻
another amazing video by you! I saw your channel around a year ago, so I’m not a long time fan, but I’ve watched plenty of your videos while I eat. It’s awesome learning about players from years before the late 90s (which a lot of the players I know well are from the late 90s, besides from legends before) so it’s always nice learning about footballers I haven’t heard about, or remember players I haven’t seen in a while.
you should post more on your second channel too! I like the more face to face content!
A great and humble person. Turns negative energy into a positive and happy one. ❤
I hadn't actually realised how cute he was as a younger man 😅 Thank you for making a proper appraisal of the never-ending career of Kazuyoshi Miura. You know, I was about to write that he might retire at 60 - but then I thought, no. He loves the game too much. And nothing else really matters. Where there is love, there is always a way.
Amazing and beautiful story! ❤
King Kazu ❤❤ age is just a number. if you still keep yourself in shape.
“At the end what matters is that they come”
Amen brother Amen
He is such an inspiration for me, for all that he represents. What a life well lived!
I knew when this video is uploaded,I knew about this Japanese legend Kazuyoshi Miura sir who is still playing and I fully respect him which is where I must be playing my favourite sport up to his final playing career, good friends!!!He is a living legend in the world football, not just the Japanese football and I am extremely so happy and proud to see him continuously playing with his extremely so strong fitness, good friends!!!LONG LIVE,KAZUYOSHI MIURA SIR!!!🏋♂️
I don't want to upset you but he is not a legend and probably most of the football fans will agree with me. I totally didn't knew who he is/was, up until now this video showed up you may be a fan of him but he is not a legend. Maybe at Japan but not in the world of football
To be called a legend you have to be far more better than just a good player better than everyone else at your era just like pele, cruyff, maradona, both ronaldo the R9 and CR7,messi etc. For example Neymar and TBH he is far better than kazu, no offense i do like ney he is a joy to watch one of my favourite player but not a legend. Why!! ? Because he still ain't done anything special/great to be consider as legend, for me Neymar is just a good player with great talent and skills something which every players wants and a great career something which most of the players wants to have and we can only dream of.
@@tasogoba2409 Please calm down good friend,I have said that he is a legend is because,he has served for many years, mainly in his domestic football in Japan but underrated in the world of football!!!:-D
@@tasogoba2409 They are legends of course with the future legends for Ronaldo boss and Messi boss but Neymar boss is 31 years old this, good friend!!!He is though,a future legend and doesn't matter whether a male footballer is a great talent and skills, when he plays his games routinely well for years, than the legendary status will be installed to him, good friend!!!🏋️♂️
@@tasogoba2409 calm down dude, taking this way to serious. How about going outside and playing some futball ?
Very inspiring story 🤝👏🔥
This man has 703 apps with only 5 assists!!! Bizarre
You have to remember that for the vast majority of his career, assists weren't actually being recorded...
@@danielkarmy4893 ahhh, okay bro. Thanks for enlightening me 👍🏼
Great video for Japanese football, Obrigado mesmo🇯🇵❤️
Great story, great content as always Lucaś, keep up the amazing work bro, I really enjoy your videos 🎉
Thank you for this story! We don't call him King for nothing.
A storyline out of the best mangas out there ! He’s such a strong and inspirational individual.
This guy is like an anime character proving that players suck at the game when he is older a better. Bluelock should have taken notes.
hahah laughing so hard at how you said 'baseball' that's how I feel about golf or cricket mate😂

I saw him play v England at Wembley in 1995. He met Sir Stanley Matthews there who was presented to both teams. As you say, he would go on to break Matthews's record...
Respect!
I remember him playing for Japan in 1992 Asian Cup. He was one of the best players in Asia. What a legend
Everything aside miura is such a handsome guy and he always has been one 🎉
That’s KING Kazu to you, OP-senpai! 🙌
Mais um grande vídeo. Que personagem. Parece mesmo saído de uma série 🎞️📼
Kazu é o Oliver Tsubasa original
i love that Panda quote, really have deeper point
He's doing what we wish a lot of great players would do having fun with it as he gets seasoned
Legend
His story is wild. Im really sad he never took any of the overseas club opportunities he had but I’m glad he’s still happy and going strong m.
Btw This Guy does a Cameo in Kamen Rider Revice, thru the entire series the main character has a picture of him in his wall, and in the last episode the guy himself appears on the show
❤I LOVE THIS PAGE❤
King Kazu the 🐐
Everlasting passion for the game
@daily dose of football
Actually in the first Fifa International game for SEGA, the players names were not licensed yet so all the names in the countries given were made up and Miura's name isn't in it. I would know cos I still own the game and yes I have followed Miura since he started his stint in Genoa back in 1994
the goat
Glad to be early
Would love a Vidic video, or the great late Sinisa Mihailovic who just passed away. Scored a hat trick of free kicks in a match, and won the Champions League with Red Star Belgrade golden generation.
Blud said baseball like it was a nasty disease
Well baseball was not invented in the US , they stole it from us romanians, it was called "oina" and was invented by us in 1364. And yes baseball it's a sad copy
Noriaki Kasai of football i love those long careers of guys from japan in many sports
Absolutely incredible story! The man is a legend and he did so much to help Japan become what they are today! Japan is easily a top 20 if not even higher country in futbol and they will only keep rising! Obrigado Kazu
king kazu❤️
I want to mention that that futsal World Cup wasn’t an afterthought as though not scoring he played every game as Japan squeaked qualification to the round of 16 from a group with two of the great futsal powers in Portugal and Brazil, even drawing the former
please can you make a video on P.H ganso ? would be appreciated :)
Bons vídeos pah, subscrevi para apoiar um tuga , força aí

He looks really good for his age too.
This channel makes me aware of all these legends i've never heard of.

I remember him from the 1995 King Fahd cup now known as the FIFA Confederations Cup.
Vídeo Request: please do a video on the fall of Cruzeiro
Wow this whole time I never knew there's a Afro Asia tournament. That's awesome. What a legend man. He was doing side quests towards the end.
Do a video on Dwight Yorke please
Kazu is a football legend.
This is what true loves looks like .
This legend is only 2 yrs younger than my father and he is 1yr older than my mother, and Im 35... But everytime I show some clips or news about him to my father, he immediately reacts to him as "This guy is crazy, nuts at least!" xD Its like everytime he sees him he gets complexes because of his endurance and commitment to the game... And I also think its envy a little bit cause my father was also a player and a coach afterwards... xD
The agony of Doha was against Iraq, not Iran, when Japan narrowly missed qualifying for what would have been its first World Cup in 1994. Japan beat Iran in 1997 to qualify for the 1998 World Cup in France.
The man is a legend and pioneer of Japanese football. Hail King Kazu!
Pls do a video on magico Gonzalez
long live king kazu !
For me he is a unique case
King kazu is the best
King Kazu 👑 🇯🇵
Yo, I remember this guy
Japanese national team should recruit him for one last time in the next world cup to show him to the world that anything is possible.
BOOM 💥
When it looked like Kazu would finally retire, he shocked the world by moving to a Portuguese second division team to develop his football
Damn hes playing as long as I've lived 😅😅😅.
Gotta love the passion though.
