i think he has to make sure the pieces he is going to use are not polluted. I totally get why he doesnt want old DCEU baggage. For all the love it gets it carries a lot and i would want a clean slate too
@@ComicBookNostalgia yeah I like how it is totally rebooted. As much as I love some characters from the old dceu. A fresh start is nice.
I think change peacemaker season 2 to a new title simply to make it less confusing like peacemaker tries hard or continuing a trend started by the Batman and the suicide squad make it the peacemaker.

It reminds me a lot of the New 52, where some things stayed the same for the most part from before like Batman and Green Lantern, but then some things were completely different like Superman. Or even like Superman Returns where they only take some direct reference to certain parts of the whole timeline.
I have to admit that this new video was absolutely amazing and really brought some continuity to a lot of things. I understand what James Gunn is doing and I can definitely see Warner Brothers Pictures as a villain. However, I still can't wait to see what James Gunn has up his sleeves .

I noticed something like this around The Batman as well and frankly it lines up perfectly with the thought-train here
In my head I truly believe that Gunn wanted to simply start the DCU off with Battinson. It just seems like the right move, but I BET what happened was that WB already granted Reeves a certain amount of personal control.
And while the decision to mesh his stuff with Guns is his entirely, I’d bet that Gunn wasn’t hyped about the idea that he still can’t yet get DC on one singular page. The man highly believes in character dichotomy so I don’t think he buys into that “battinson is too gritty” narrative

Honestly I hope they just label battinson as a prequel. So reeves can do what he wants but there still is some continuity.
@@wyattchauvin2398 That could definitely work too. Gunn would just have to play directly off whatever Reeves decides to do in his trilogy, either that or Reeves would have to be willing to compromise somewhere
