- Today has been the busiest day I have seen it here on the Front Range Subdivision. Starting at around 6am this morning, the first of several northbounds began showing up. A first one was a Minnequa, CO coal empty led by BNSF 9186. Our second train was the daily Denver, CO to Laurel, MT Manifest, but with some very nice cargo on the head end. Five Boeing Fuselages and windmill motors make a great appearance on the DENLAU. However, the conductor on the DENLAU noticed added axles to the train, they contacted field support and the dispatcher for assistance. The train stopped at Longs Peak so the conductor inspect the extra cars that were added to the train, but not the car list. After getting everything sorted out and a new wheel being sent to the printer in Fort Collins, the DENLAU continued on their way.
Boy,it’s been a long time on this one! But you just don’t forget some of them ! Thanks for the memories! Still sound like a sneaky voice!
Great work! I love your angles, focal lengths, exposure, and great audio. Your work reflects a lot of preparation, thought, attentive execution, experience, and skill. Thanks for posting.
Very nice, the DENLAU and LAUDEN, come through here (Casper, Wy) daily, somehow I missed this one, great catch!
Brilliant video and catch! Nice how you got an all H2 elephant style with the H2 GEVO leading and those Boeing/Windmill cars!
LOL 3:27 Dog snatch!!!
😂
never saw planes on a train before, looks very bad ass!
Beautifully done! Good lighting for the day and love me some BNSF!
Awesome video, I would love to see jets on a train around here. I do see a lot of those windmill turbines though
Nice production. Really good videography and sound. Felt like I was trackside.
Reminds me of the dynamics of being a Loadmaster on a C-130 when you find out that the manifest on your life is all FUBAR upped.
Loved the curious dog get the yank.
I have never seen jets being carried on a train before great video and thanks for sharing!
Nothing better than a friendly bush when you 'gotta go'.
Kinda reminds me of the moves Santa Fe made from Edwards AFB when they had to scrub the Space Shuttle landings- and suddenly move everything east. Great video. Thanks for posting. Mike in Fresno, Ca.
Thank you for the feedback. Growing up watching the trains go by (on what now is CP Rail) I wondered why they stopped sometimes.
Great video. But I feel bad about the dog. The way she snatched him.
Excellent catch and footage John.
Little wirefox terrier just wanted to be in your video! Very cool how they ship those Boeing 737 fuselages.
Whoo, Nice one man. I sure miss seeing those planes being rerouted through KS. Looks like that dog wanted to do some railfanning too lol. 5*****
Love the radio traffic to go with the video!.....well done!
@author That was the conductor. He had to go back and get the car numbers off of those high wides. For example, the windmill cars behind the planes. Denver didn't send them the right work order so the dispatcher needed to get the car numbers and make sure they were okay to continue north. Then they had to get a new work order at Fort Collins.
Nice catches, John! Liked those dogs as well!
Nice catch on the plane freight!
John,
Nice PUMPKIN ELEPHANT HAT TRICK CATCH!
My son loves this.
impressive transportation/cargo, nice job on the video
Fantastic videos !!
@1:18 ... i love watching the metal rails flex under the weight of the cars. so cool.
1:18
great video
nice video. awesome loads as well!
very nice video
Nice video thanks for uploading
These are BOEING 737's fuseloges that are made in Witchita Kansas and shipped to final assembly at Renton Wash. They have bee doing this for over 30 years, Boeing is ramping up production to 40 a month.
3:25 the dog's like "ooh a camera!"
They're talking about getting a new wheel report (manifest) from a printer down the line, called a "wheel" for short. They're not getting a new wheel put on a car, lol.
wow nice video good sound good quality
I know this may sound pedantic, but the "so-called" windmills are actually wind-turbine bodies.
Pretty cool catch, sure beats hoppers and tank cars.
The flat cars carrying the 2 white "boxes", are carrying the turbines. Those "boxes" house the electrical generating equipment. And the aircraft fuselage units, are built in Wichita, Kansas, by Spirit Aerospace, under license to Boeing. Wichita, Kansas - Aircraft Capital of the World.
Wonderful video.!! Good job.! Like.
Great video!!
WOW! Is awesome, great train.
very nice
Those appear to be 737 fuselages that would have been loaded on at Spirit Aerosystems in Wichita Kansas, heading for the final assembly plant in Renton, Wa.
Nice Catch!
They could be, they are definitely 737s that come out of Wichita.
Pretty cool video I spot those cars in rent on pretty fun job
Hi-Wide indeed, nice vid, Johnage !
It's not a unit train of tank cars, it's manifest train with a lot of tank cars in it. Probably empties headed up to be filled with ethanol or corn syrup.
Thanks for the comments!
interesting load
Saw this coming through Laurel, MT.
Looks like the new 787... :)
Love the humor!

Interesting that the train had extra cars that were not on the wheel report.
It is an FRA violation to not have the wheel and actual consist MATCH.
Cool. Thx.
Only if the Pickup has a 100' long bed.
If you get to where they are talking on radio then 8:50 for the train moving again
Around 2:30 and 3:00 a guy gets off the front locomotive and walks down the RR right-of-way for a while, then comes back. Any idea what he was doing? Track problems? Too much traffic up ahead? A problem with one of the cars? Little boys room? Something else?
LOL! The one dog around 3:27 wanted to check out the camera.
planes en trains best thing man made
@BNSF7776 Haha very much so indeed. Sometimes these trains look like the H KCKPAS. And these airplanes are being sent on the H KCKDEN. You haven't seen any yet?
@FrontRangeTrains Nope, the H KCKDEN has been rerouting on the transcon lately.
Great entertaining!
Elephant formation!
No, this train is like any other train on the BNSF system. Conductor and Engineer.
cute puppies @ 3:23
Great video :-) LIKE!
@Billy Bob Billy Bob, these are not just goods. These are weapons that can do mass destruction. Why would one not want this train to have armed security.
thanks, good to know :)
What kind of Horn is that? anyone know?
Nathan K5HLL.
nice
Armed security for what? it's a freight train, it transports goods or materials from one spot to another.
had to stop, I got dizzy from missing 3/4 of the train because of camera shift
That Wheaten Terrier @ 3:30 wanted to be your railfanning friend! How come 7688 left his door open at 8:58?
No, the 737 is powered by CFM-56 engines.
Jazar GK What makes you say that??? Everett only builds wide bodies and they are not shipped any where. Everett is where they are assembled. These are 737 NARROW bodies that are made in Witchita Kansas, and shipped to Renton Washington the only narrow body assembly plant Boeing has.
Interesting. Is this CG?
how do the trains carrying the aircraft bodies make the curves
Wouldn't that be dependent on the order of un-coupling at their respective destinations?
Who's the engineer? Tommy Lee Jones?! LOL!
What was wrong with the train? Did it have an emergency?
@SDRailfan Yessir! Boeing 737s!
3:16 This is the best :D
Probably LPG for the MRL in Laurel.
i noticed a 3rd person on the conductors side, trainee or ?
Railhead.....🚂🚂🚂
2:15 this poor guy just got off the train in order to pee, but this dumb railfan made the situation delicate.
+John Smith I am sure they have a toilet in the locomotive.
+tom, jones Yeah and they're gross
sure are, especially major railroad, road units, hell i've seen units from the UP come up with DO NOT OCCUPY on the window due to toilet issues
Damn for real?
How much training does a driver of one of these units get before they will let dive one by him/herself?
Where was the shot at 3:28 filmed?
EDIT: Dog Snatch at 3:28 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best fun we can.....99 Pickles
Were those planes?!?!?
Why wasn't the bart lit? If it is it is pretty dim.
Are they all GE Powered? GE wind generators? GE jet engines? GE powered Locomotives? Ge wiz.
and now GE home loans! excitement plus
funny how the dog walk over
did the train left the door open ?
actually....those are airbus fuselages. or at least they were.......
Why are there tank & hopper cars in between the parts?
Does BNSF have H2 ES44DC's? Cause BNSF puts the number 7 on ES44DC's and puts 4's and 5's on their Dash9 (C44-9W). Does this mean....
Take a look at 6:18 where the train stops. H2 7688 BNSF
NICE CATCH!
You are a true trainspotter dude.7688;ES44DC.4446 & 4494;C44-9W.
There are some that are some AC44EV’s That are in the 5718 to 5817’s
Poor dog!
Poor dog just wanted to be on UA-cam. Which cars are the turbines?
