Subscribed…nice reinforcement of my experience in Asia…I 8:03 don’t think I can afford to return to USA. Plus I’m having fun still after 4 years.
I understand completely
I have now been full time in southeast Asian countries for over six months and the Middle East for about five years before that
Saved so much money over high US living costs
And I was able to invest money
Have a great week, Jeff
Embarking on this new chapter of retirement? Remember, proactive financial planning is the key to unlocking a secure and fulfilling future. Instead of solely relying on any factor, consider staying invested with a trusted financial advisor. They can guide you towards strategic investments, ensuring your retirement is not just stable but prosperous. Take control of your financial destiny and embrace the retirement you've always envisioned!!
Absolutely! Planning ahead is vital for a prosperous retirement. A dedicated financial advisor will help navigate the complexities, making your golden years not just secure but truly fulfilling. Here's to taking charge of our financial future and enjoying the retirement we've worked hard for!
*Jenny Pamogas Canaya* is her name. She is a genius when it comes to diversifying holdings. You can verify her for yourself by looking her up online. She is well knowledgeable about the financial markets.
Thanks you for sharing. It was easy to find her on internet, seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her..
Geo arbitrage is the best choice for me. All my friends in US are in deep denial with magical thinking that nothing bad will ever happen. They are on the edge with huge incomes as huge debts. That lifestyle is normalized in US. The music will stop and they will be baked. Not me. I love freedom, cultural exploration, being fully responsible, living consciously, happiness, peace of mind and optimism, not fear and anxiety about the future. Great content
Setting up a backup plan is so important
@@RetireandGoAbsolutely. We have choices. Suffering is optional
Well done I am on your page I too am a minimalist sold everything after divorce and now I have freedom and my choice and my decisions. I will be visiting Vietnam Danang hopefully to stay permanently. Keep up the good advice .😊
🙏🏼
All good info. Sold my home in a high dollar tate, moved to the deep south to buy a few rentals, to generate $ to hang out thailand/vietnam.......
Dude this is awesome !
I sold at the highs of the cv19 bubble
Then bought a fixer upper to repair and rent
Similar to your plan
I’m glad you are enjoying Thailand and Vietnam
I am traveling permanently now. I think in about three years I’ll decide on a trifecta of countries to go between
Thailand Philippines Vietnam perhaps
The things you are talking about are crazy, I think its a lot of keeping up with the jonses. I went to Lebanon on my last RnR and they do 100 year home mortgages. I think you are right in what you are doing. I also REALLY value my time over slaving away to buy a $90,000 just to look good for someone else.........Also that vehical wont be worth 90k when/if its payed off. I think its worth living ouitside USA. I have been looking at Equidor. I want to need less money but retire super early.
I agree with you !
Also , equador does look great
Next year will be all central and South America travel
Costa Rica looks fun as well
@@RetireandGoI heard Costa Rica has great tax breaks for expat to live there. The new Philippians.
@@TIG2MAN0 I’m touring south and Central America all next year including Costa Rica
I’m looking forward to exploring the country and pricing out retirement there
What are the vaccination requirements in Vietnam and Thailand ?
very good question. vietnam has an e visa requirement you need to do a few weeks before going. very few countries require this. in the evisa website they want you to upload your shots and booter docs. so its full vax if that is a problem just go to cambodia ... they did not ask anything and its really nice there. cheap and go visit angkor wat!
No retirement visa in Vietnam so always move out
Yeah, but I have to tell you … 30 days in Vietnam is a nice visit … then I’m ready to get back to Thailand or Philippines
They both have one year visa opportunities
So it works out
Good advice R & G ... i found myself looking for a new Car and the starting price for my desired Car is $55,000. Insane! I bought my current Tacoma for around $26,000 brand new back in 2011. I see no reason to waste $ on another vehicle when i already have one that is paid off and in great condition. Im curious if you still carry your Hawaii Car insurance even tho you no longer live there. I heard if there is a gap in insurance that they penalize you if you return to the States and try to get coverage again. Not sure if that is true or not. Take care and enjoy your time in Viet Nam
Very interesting question
The insurance is an issue yes
There are a few things you can do
One, park your car and then get insurance for stored car, much cheaper. Two, sell your car and put insurance on hold not cancel
Ask your carrier about this
My home is also covered by the same carrier so putting auto on hold was easy with one phone call
How hard is the visa process fir americans
americans get 30 day visa on arrival. i think it can even go higher! go this year and check it out ok? dont procrastinate, go to vietnam !
How have you stayed in Vietnam for such a long time please😊
30 days on arrival visa
Hopefully they will go to 90 in the future
@@RetireandGo The E Visa is now 90 days and was introduced on the 15 August 2023.
Saigon? wow! How was the water color there? Is it clear blue with good snorkeling? I am ready to sell my house and move on. Just lots to think about. That shitty Ego side of the brain dreaming up all kinds of fear! Trying to bury that fear as it pops up and says Boo!
Philippines and Phuket area of Thailand will be the snorkeling spots.
Vietnam, the Mekong delta , is a little dark
But for vacation … you will find low cost food and kind locals
I have a Mekong delta video coming soon so people can see the waterways
