Hanamura is the ONLY map i have ever seen in any moba that makes people play with apathy since they dont care about the map. Is not a good achievement but is impresive nonetheless.

I would change Haunted Mines by making the objective be about structure armour instead, kind of like how the cores on Alterac Pass get armour based on how many of the keeps remain. While the mines are open I'd add some armour to all structures and when all the skulls are collected the amount of armour or vulnerability to your structures would be based on the percentage of skulls you collected. Maybe to make the numbers easy start with 20 vulnerability and add 1 armour for every 2 skulls, so that you could get 30 armour if you collect all of them, or if each team gets 50 skulls each team has 5 armour on their buildings. The armour or vulnerability to your structures would end when the attacking golem dies.
Aah another fox video. The day is saved! Have you guys realized how beautiful and varied these maps are. And there is a lot of things to know about them. The different maps are rly the bread and butter of Hots :-) They put so much cool details in this game (i mean, they even designed different minions for the different maps). I am hoping they will bring back new content someday. And I miss Haunted Mines - it was one of my favorite maps
Very nice and informative video. I do like how when it got to Volskaya Foundry, the background music of the map almost overtook the narration. The map itself just couldn't be contained for an explanation!
Personally I'd say D tier is still generous for both maps, because they really feel like a larger step down compared to the other rankings, also I personally love towers of Doom so it is an S tier for me, even though I do agree with your argumentation
I personally hate Spider map because this is agonizing. The one-sided game may last for half an hour, all while you have no chance to do any comeback. Also the "jungles"... do not exist? Even if you have the crystals, you are barely able to get to it through a sleeve. Also the spiders are heavily unbalanced in winning side's favor: your spiders don't do shit, while they push you to the core. Ah, and also... CAN YOU PLEASE FUCKING PAY, WE NEED 4 CRYSTALS, YOU HAVE 20 ALREADY, STOP DIVING DEEPER I BEG YOU!
It is comically incorrect how Cursed Hollow get so low in the tier list, below Volskaya and Alterac and on par with Braxis. You literally tossed pearl between swine...
I think Infernal shrines is bit better than garden because it puts less ephasis on macro. Whoever controls the bottom camp triangle has advantage, giving you incentive to fight in the downtime. I´m not saying good macro isn´t fun, it just isn´t the reason why anyone would play HotS.
Black Heart's Bay is so bad that its disabled in ranked. The first turn in is guaranteed to kill mid fort, which makes it free for the winning side to take both coin camps between mid and top, but also gives free map pressure in mid where the coin chest will spawn for the entire rest of the game at intervals that have almost no warning and are difficult to track without gluing your eyes to the tiny purple icon for the chest. Worst part by far though has to be taking your camps to try to claw back xp, and then getting 3 man ganked bot so they get your coins and take bruisers for 2 more coins and then get bot fort for free unless your team can somehow do boss at 4 minutes into the game. Please disable this map in quick match 🥲

For both winning and losing team often. Tho 40+ minute games happen rarely in 2k+ MMR nowadays. Even low MMR players know how to end games.

Are shots on the towers of doom getting faster when you control all the forts? I'm not sure.
If you control them for a set period. I don't remember how long, 30 seconds? A minute? The interval between shots get shorter at that one point.
After 36 seconds since capturing all the towers, the shots get 2 times faster, from 6 seconds gap to 3 seconds.
W8, I played in beta and there was a map where you went into the underground and killed camps to power up 2 bosses. Did they remove it?

Well, for me personally doing camps and all macro stuff in general is the most satisfying thing in HotS. I enjoy it more than fighting.

The problem is the game sucks and league is 50x better
League graphics and hero design is kinda oom. Never liked it.
