Good to see Pollard getting back 60min plus though he is being cotton wooled understandably at the moment and not physical on defense and attack, he is solid kicking hope he will get back his edge match fitness-wise. He looks well-rested and sharp.

Anyone else spot that the timeline of these highlights makes no sense? First of all Ben Youngs joins the back of the maul with his head fully strapped up, then it gets fed out to Kelly who scores. Then after that the Clermont player hits Ben Youngs (without his head strapping) in the head and gets a card for it.
He was injured after playing in the rugby championship then was fit again then the same injury recurred against saracens so that's why he hasn't played much rugby recently
If there is one thing I just cannot accept watching, it's the players reacting to decisions made by the referee. I'm sorry, but this is becoming a disgrace witnessing what I saw in this game. Both teams were guilty of the way they were behaving towards the referee after his decisions, but by God, Clermont were the worst, especially the penalty at the end that was given for the Clermont player who was off his feet. But this is the problem. The respect for the officials has just deteriorated over the seasons. Not one video or forum I've watched or read, that there hasn't been anything said about the referee in a negative fashion. This felt at times like a football match and the conduct needs to be taken care of immediately, or rest assured, there will be no referees for the game in the future because why referee a game where you've 30 children that dress up as adults for 80 minutes?
They were lippy ( from there highlights anyway) and he seemed to do ok, changed his mind when he had to (and not because of their lippyness either!). Ref did well, players not so much (again, only from these highlights!)

@@conorcahill5422 tbf frank Murphy played for Leicester before being a ref, and he did have some stinker decisions. For example that break from the clermont hooker which resulted in a pen to Leicester even though really it should’ve been a yellow to the tiger for hands of the floor. Not saying they would’ve won but
Highlights being shown out of order. Ben Youngs playing with a head bandage, and 8 minutes into a Clermont yellow card period, and the next highlight is two minutes earlier, when Youngs gets the head injury and Clermont get the yellow card. Pretty crap editing.
Without taking anything away from a great Leicester win, but despite being early days does anyone else think that the T14 sides save La Rochelle have been disappointing this year

Really enjoyable game of rugby some fantastic individual performances on both sides, big win for Leicester considering the players currently missing.
Clermont was missing a packworth of players in the backrow alone, team has been crippled by injuries for weeks now.
@@sirfrancis6058 What's that got to do with my statement.
@@neilcarpenter2669 I mean it was a great team performance but it's not like Clermont was fielding its best team either, very very far from it sadly

Atkinson impressed with his workrate at 15. Made some great covering tackles in quick succession.

I agree but without South African teams

Ecological disaster + loss of the competition identity. Stadiums are empty, and especially in south africa

Geez, that inside ball try was brilliant.
Well done Leicester, I'm an ulster supporter ,we just missed out yesterday, but Leicester are still the team to beat
Great game, well done Tigers!
Ah great to see Pollard getting through this game and looking decent for the most part of it 💪
Let's go lads 🇬🇧👍

What a game of rugby
Impressive performance!
Well done Tigers!!
Why is the yellow card at 31 mins shown after the try at 33 mins??
That is the best refereeing I've seen in years
from an old leicester player ... what a joke!
They actually played Pollard? Either his fitness has improved or Leicester has nobody else to play 10.
He had a good game too!

Leicester's current 10 was playing full back tonight. Their options are a bit diminished in a few positions at the minute.
What a game!
Tigers played beautifully but good grief Frank Murphy had a shocker. It's a shame because he's usually not a bad ref ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great rugby.
Commentators need glasses if they think they need another look at the feet being near the touch
Haha, for both tries
Yeah, wishful thinking.
