This is the the mighty Gloucester… pulverised home and away by Leinster. Quite funny to watch by the end
It's going to take a monumental effort from any team to beat leinster..They really look unbeatable at the moment..Pure total rugby an absolute joy to watch..
There is a worrying weakness creeping into their scrum. They were beaten up by Ospreys last week in the scrum, and were on the back foot in the scrum against Gloucester today. Neither of those teams was good enough (or allowed to be good enough) to take advantage of this fully, but Sarries, Toulouse, and La Rochelle's forward pack would scare me a little if I was them. Any team with a hard-up defence to produce knock-ons and scrums, and then the power to hurt Leinster in the scrum, could beat them. As Sarries did in the final in Newcastle a few years back.

@@johnmc3862 it is not just him. The scrum without him last year was stronger, and also they have been pushed back a couple of times in the two games he played for them this year.
Your right it's a glaring issue the front rows need to work harder they are probably resting furlong because he has played so much the last few years and it's rwc year. We need to bring in a scrum coach now or it could cost us.

What they did to racing who were second in Frances top 14 at the time was a display of intent.
@@ciaranbrk Couldn't win the URC or Heineken last season though. Winning either competition will be tougher than ever with the Saffer teams involved. Gone are the days of easy Pro14/URC titles.

Outclassed.
Kind of the same place that Leinster were in last season. Around this time of the year they were trouncing bath. Until the trophies are in their hands it can be all for nothing though. When it does come to the crunch the set piece particularly the scrum has to stand up and they have to for the jugular. A lot of big teams in this like La Rochelle who have knocked Leinster the last two years in a row, Saracens are still about, Toulouse, the SA teams just to name a few. Harder than ever to win this it seems.
21 points from kicks, not a single try and La R down to 14 men in the second half of last years final and couldn't capitalise on it!
And you had cocky Leinster supporters sarcastically moaning that putting3, 4 or 5 tries over teams was a bad day for Leinster throughout that year...Mmmkay
@@ThMindFdr Not sure what your point is? Also are you not allowed score from kicks? Leinster were about 90 seconds away from an almost perfect season. They weren’t far off but if it was east to do it wouldn’t be worth winning.
2nd penalty try clearly showed a Gloucester player dragging the maul down with such force, that he nearly had a Leinster player's shorts off. Unfortunately this summary fails to show that.

@@pazstrength5322 Leinster rugby have a budget of about €22m. That pays for the senior men's squad and coaches. It also pays for the women, the academy ... all the way down to funding minis around the province. Leinster players earn less than premiership players.
@@pazstrength5322 Gloucester are £27 million in debt. It's not Ireland's fault the Premiership Financial model is unworkable. Ask Wasps and Worcester how unworkable it is. Irish fans go to see Rugby in the stadiums, not so in England. So it's nonsense to speak of the salary cap holding back Premiership sides, since it's a complete lack of regulation by PRL which is responsible for the £500million deficit. In fact this headline makes clear the opposite is true : "Gloucester CEO Lance Bradley has voiced his frustration at the decision to increase the Premiership salary cap back up to £6.4 million from the 2024/25 season onwards." While he disputes how much the club is in debt; he plainly says it's down to not having sell-out crowds.

@@r1crawford You’re right! The way they put systems in place 20 years ago has really started to show its benefits. We are now seeing some players that never went to private schools coming through at Leinster. Sean O’Brien was one. Tadhg Furlong, Ciarán Frawley, Jamie Osborne, Brian Deeny, Vakh Abdaladze to name a few more.
There are many rugby clubs across the globe that have similar populations to that of Dublin, to which they can choose from, but have never gained anywhere near the success that Leinster have achieved. For example, Glasgow has a population of roughly 1.6 million and just one club and multiple private schools yet they have only won one pro14 trophy and that was 8 years. Racing 92 & Stad Francais can choose from a population of 11 million in Paris yet they don’t win anything. The Waratahs can choose from a population of 8 million in New South Wales & Sydney yet they haven’t won anything for over 15 years. The Bulls in Pretoria have a population of roughly 2.7 million, similar to Dublin you could say and they haven’t won barely anything. Western Force in Perth has a population of 2 million yet they haven’t won anything. I could make 5 other clubs with much bigger populations than Dublin and haven’t won anything.
It’s remarkable what Leinster have achieved in such a short space of time. The majority of the Leinster squad is homegrown, from Dublin or the surrounding counties in Leinster. The culture of rugby in Leinster is huge. Even outside of the private schools system. The conveyor belt of talent that comes through year after year after year just shows the level and standard of rugby in not just Leinster but ultimately Ireland. I remember the southern kings head coaches and management actually came to visit the Leinster branch for a briefing and basically a talk in how things are run in the club. This was two or three days before they played them back in 2018/19 I forget when. I would love to see the other clubs in Ireland achieve great success as well!

Destroyed Toulouse in the semi final last year and just about lost in the last minute of the final to La Rochelle. Difference is this year all things going well, Leinster will be at home throughout the knockout stages. It’s going to take a lot even for the big French teams to beat them.
