I love hello kitty. I really don't think you should use foil in your cakes. Try rice crispies or use cake scraps. They can be molded if you add a bit of frosting. Much safer and no chance of accidental ingesting of inedible products.

Just chill it in the fridge. It will be too cold if it coming out straight from freezer :) If you freeze the cake, you need to transfer it to the fridge the night before anyway for it to slowly thaw

I usually bake a day before assembling and carving the cake :)
