If you lowered the bike, it makes it much harder to put on the center stand. I had the same problem earlier. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. It turns out when I purchased the bike, the guy's feet would not touch the ground and he had it lowered. I ended up adjusting the dog bones back as close to the factory settings and wala...a lot less effort is needed.
