No expert here but that motocross chain is not "0" ring? Are Groms not running "0" ring chains as standard? I can see how an "0" ring chain might be a drag on a small engine but the life span between the two chains is quite significant. Also, please be careful about spinning the wheel while running a rag along the chain. Ouch!
I went down the rabbit hole on zero ring chains a couple years ago. My research popped up as extremely negligible at best. Good point though.. it would make for a good video to do a side by side test with top speed runs.
@@0to60eventually_youtube I only mention this because I'm old enough to remember when there was no such thing as "0" ring chains. Back in those days chain adjustment and lube was a very regular thing and they wore out fast. Todays "0" ring chains were a major game changer whose performance we now take for granted. This caught my attention because I mistakenly ordered a Motocross chain for my Triumph Scrambler. I put it on anyway because I wanted to ride but I expect to be replacing a lot sooner than the almost 30k km chain I replaced.
Good video, but you need to remove those subtitles, they’re distracting af.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll see about making it less distracting.
