    These boa systems are going to be very popular in the trail running scene. Altra also have one in coming which I'm looking forward too.

    Another brilliant review Claire , the new lacing system is awesome and I would like to have this new lacing system right now on all my rotation shoes . Also I like this Adidas shoes for off-road but it is really too expensive .

      Yes you might need to wait a bit for the price to drop, they are already down to £127 on the adidas site here, but not sure what sizes these will be available in www.adidas.co.uk/terrex-agravic-pro-trail-running-shoes/H06572.html?pr=recently_viewed&slot=1

    Thx for the review. thinking about getting one for daily, trail R, hiking, and golfing 4 in one. By the way i have few 3 layer high alt. boots for ice climbing and 7000m+ mt. climbing, i can wear them on street no prob. its just very heavy and look funny tho.

    Interesting, I have the Terrex Agravic Tech Pro, same BOA, with gaiter, a shank (not carbon) . Looks like a good winter running shoe, I may have to upgrade.🇨🇦🤘🏃‍♂️

    Nice looking shoes. Only problem for me is they aren’t British. I am trying to support British companies and do my running in inov8 shoes and I also have a pair of Walsh. For long runs or in hot weather I wear a Harrier Kinder hydration vest.

    Good review, really like the look of that lacing system. Are there any other brands, other than new balance that do 11.5 4E sizes?

    • @wildgingerruns
      @wildgingerruns  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks NH, have you looked at Inov-8, I think they might do a really wide fit large shoe. Or Topo or Altra do wide fit and might go up to that size also, hope that helps! Claire

      @@wildgingerruns thank you, now to try and find a shop which has some stock to try on, or perhaps i should jsut use amazons easy and free return system. I absolutely hate shoe shopping its a terrible experience, trying to find something that actually fits properly. Just wish new balance weren't constantly out of stock and had as many options as they have in america. Although off there next June so perhaps I should save and buy several pairs when out there.

    Hey Claire, great review! curious to know if the upper is water repellent at all?

    • @wildgingerruns
      @wildgingerruns  Рік тому

      Hey Jesvin, great Q, yes there is a certain amount of water repellency to this shoe, more so than a super breathable mesh shoe. It definitely holds off water from long grass and muddy puddles longer than your regular trail running shoe. Hope that helps :) Claire

      @@wildgingerruns that's good to know. I was contemplating using this on snow but may not proceed with it. You should consider doing a water test on the upper of shoes you review. There's a huge interest in water repellent shoes

    Nice review Claire, what was the heel lock down like? I’ve got a pair of Saucony shoes with quick lace system, and have real issues with locking my heel in for long ascents, and cranking them tight doesn’t really help and can become uncomfortable across the top under the laces.. I’ve ended up having to wear double socks and/ or taping my heel for runs that are going to be long or hilly.. which is very annoying, and I’m crossing my fingers for my Snowdon marathon this weekend. Those shoes do look like they would be comfortable, but looked like your heel was shifting around a bit?

    • @wildgingerruns
      @wildgingerruns  2 роки тому

      Hey Jamsta, I would say that it really does depend on your foot volume and shape, I have low volume feet so these are a bit roomy inside for me and one of the heels doesn't lock down as much as the other, but if you have a larger foot they would be good - I would try a pair on and run round the house in them, up and down the stairs would be a good test. Then you can send them back if the fit isn't right. It's so hard to test shoes as what fits one person perfectly may not be right for the tester! Thanks for watching and hope you find your perfect pair! for the Snowdon marathon in the heat this weekend! Claire

    Are they good for mud running obstacle races?

    • @wildgingerruns
      @wildgingerruns  Рік тому +1

      Yes the grip is good for those races, it's just whether you can get a good fit with both the shoe shape and using the BOA laces, so defo try them on. Fit is the most important thing with a running shoe. Hope that helps! Claire

    It's a trail running shoe and you show footage of yourself using the shoe on a road. the shoes arent ment for roads, you bought the wrong shoes.

    • @wildgingerruns
      @wildgingerruns  2 роки тому +5

      Um, hi there, there is one clip of me running on roads in it to accompany the fact that I am saying you can use them on roads too because they are well cushioned. Most people will need to run on a road of some sort in their shoes if they don't have a footpath going from their back garden... Did you not watch the entire film of me running on trails in them...? Lol!

    • @manuelmakaroni2641
      @manuelmakaroni2641 2 роки тому

      @@wildgingerruns Hi there! I did watch the entire film and I noticed that you did include one clip of yourself running on roads. However, the fact remains that these shoes are not meant for roads. If people want to use them on roads, they should buy a different pair of shoes.

      @@DenyTheZeitgeist Oh, absolutely! Your Toyota 4Runner was built for one purpose and one purpose only: to conquer the rugged, untamed wilderness like a true off-road warrior. Driving it on the road would be like using a chainsaw to trim your bonsai tree - completely unnecessary and a bit ridiculous. In fact, why not take it a step further and install a winch, a roof rack, and a full suite of off-road lighting, just to make sure everyone knows you mean business? And if anyone dares to suggest that your 4Runner might actually be street legal, just roll down your window and shout "I don't see any rocks or mud on this road, bro!" with all the confidence of a seasoned off-road enthusiast. After all, who needs silly things like traffic laws or common sense when you have a Toyota 4Runner?
