Сказать, что классные басы и фантастическая монотонная подложка - ничего не сказать! Я загипнотизирован! To say that it has a cool bass and a fantastic monotonous backing - to say nothing! I'm mesmerized! Thank you!
wonderful like it a lot. I want both synths to add to my collection. But prices are just too high. i'm happt with I got, I feel fortunte, but these synths really rock. Thank you for sharing. Funky.
You are awesome! We're both 80's (music) freaks, that seems to be rare where I live (at least). We lost our only 80's radio station like 2 months ago to another format :(... thanks to UA-cam and musicians like you, I can re-live them anytime I'm on the computer. Thanks for your video performance... I am sure you are inspiring many a keyboardist. :)
Excellent! Just found your channel! Great stuff!! It's so refreshing to see other synth freaks that not only have great gear, but know about it and how to use it!! :)
Another excellent piece of music, and using a CZ too - my first synth was a CZ-101...happy times! You've got an awesome selection of synths but you actually PLAY them and use them for songs, which pleases me no end. Call me old fashioned, but there are too many button pushers these days who couldn't actually just perform like you do. You are very, very talented. I'd love to jam with you!
Awesome! Loved the leads and intervals on the right Love the fat strings on the CZ Jupiter 8 is so lush & fat, it's a must have synth! You're very good @ improvising!
@codeslave9000 HI :) Yes, JP-6 and JP-8 are similar machines and both sound huge. I have had the joy of playing both and I am so impressed by them. On JP-8 I was adjusting the ADSR ENV 2 attack time and the release time while trying to maintain the bass line. hehe Long live the Jupiters!! :) :) TSF
Interesting how close the JP8 and the JP6 can sound here and how closely they operate - I was watching what you were adjusting, and knew exactly which slider it was based on my own JP6. I might have put a little more sonic separation between the Jup and the CZ - they are occupying very similar spectrum here. Love the bass line - would also sound cool with a little phaser on it! Thanks for the video! C
@TheSynthFreq I should have mentioned that I have a VZ-1. When I first got it, I had a go at programming it for a while, but now it's the controller keyboard.
@adrianh63 :) Thanks. I love improvising and keeping things interesting. hehe Jupiter-8 is a must have synth for sure. It lives up to its fame and history. :)
@AusDisciplesBand Hi! :) Awesome! That is so cool, the same name? yay :) Synth passion is awesome. :) TD is awesome too, I have listened to them as long as I can remember. I remember hearing Howard Jones on the radio when I was young, never forget how inspiring the synths and awesome musicians of the 80s are to me. Have a synthtastic day! From Texas, Danielle
@rhydermike :) the CZs are not bad but the interface is bad like the DXs. Both synths are so similar though. PD and FM sound exactly alike when all frequencies are reduced to fundamentals, but the DXs (FM) uses the fourier Series and the CZ (PD) use phase angles that are bent out of shape by programming 8-stage ENVs. This string patch is the most pleasant pwm strings patch I have programmed for CZ,..finally. lol The CZs are time consuming to edit but full of surprises if you stick with it. :)
@stot2614 HI :) Thanks for your kinds words! :) Sorry to hear about the radio station. 80s music is the best. I didn't realize there were 80s stations around. There needs to be more! Re-living the 80s is fun! The synths like to re-live it too hehe They are all over 20 years old. :) ...Synth-tastic! :) TSF
@zombieAndy1979 Hi , Thanks. :) JP-8 can make a great electric bass sound, I will program more patches soon. The CZ normally is difficult to get a decent usable analog-ish sound out of. The CZ is good for strange FM sounds. One day I decide to program it after years of not programming it, (I'm a bit iffy on PD synthesis theory btw) but finally program a sound I like. lol I have restored faith in CZ-5000 now. lol :) TSF
@synthartist69 Just keep playing that keyboard and keeping the greatest decade of music alive. I now listen to a classic rock station here since the 80''s genre on the air died here. I am thinking of "Last Christmas" by Wham! now, since it's that time of the year once again. Season's Greetings, Merry Christmas, Happpy Hanukah or anything other than "Happy Holidays" to you. :)
@funkb0x :) Thanks so much. :) Vocals sound like a great idea. I have imagined some 80s vocals and it would be awesome to have an added element to our retro sound. I however, am far too shy to sing except when alone in the studio where only the synths can hear me, LOL :) TSF
@funkb0x HI :) Thanks! :) I never want to part with Jupiter-8 and 808!, they are just too good of machines. They really allow you to get your ideas out quickly and JP-8 always inspires. I love how there are no menus to deal with and everything is instantly accessed. I absolutely am IN LOVE with JP-8. hehe :) TSF
@TheSynthFreq Hi, I have a CZ5000, recently acquired, funnily enough on the strength of some youtube demos and yours! I would really appreciate the patch info, I have just discovered a free PC editor. I had a listen through some of the presets and they were disappointing so its refreshing to hear the potential of the synth. Its amazing how your string patch sounds better than many analog synths that I've heard. Many thanks, appreciated.
cz5000...seriously like it. '85... sonically self confident and fully aware of its compecencies, bit of cheese here an there but keep in mind this video. it actually looks relaxed next to a JP8..
Thanks to people like yourself, us 80's freaks can re-live it too. ;) Speaking of 80's... have you heard of a band called "Elkland"? About 5 years or so ago, I found them in a music store... their only CD, "Golden" (2005). Too bad because they had such an 80's sound and feel to their music. If you know of someone that has a widely available CD out with the good ole' 80's sound and feel, please let me know.
@calyx93 Hi Thanks so much! :) I am in love with JP, the more I fall in love with it, the more I fear the day of sending it back to its owner, hehe but I am thankful to its owner that he let me get to know my dream synth. :) Hehe A JP fund sounds like a cool idea. Elka Rhapsody sounds cool. I could definitely find a use for a string synth from the late 70s. :) I am going to search for some videos and examples on its sound. :) TSF
@maccagrabme HI :) Yes, it is 100% the Casio CZ-5000. Its one of the few sounds I have programmed for the CZ. I like Phase Distortion synthesis but I don't program the CZ as much as I program the D-50, Jupiter and Juno-1. The CZ series has 8 stage ENVs which are interesting to program. I can also post the CZ data info if anyone is interested in the patch used here. :) TSF :) TSF
Very enjoyable performance! Amazing groove. But I do believe that left hand there has a mind of its own! Wow that Roland is a monster, isn't it? I just had to subscribe!
@brightstarlit HI :) $120? Oh man. Yes CZ has a unique and early 80s appearance, I like it too, sort of an instant flashback to the 80s when you see it. lol Sorry to hear that it got away. Hopefully another one comes along soon, its an interesting, strange but retro synth, its not multitimbral though :( but instead it has its own little (basic) sequencer on it, good for ideas. I wish you luck in your CZ searching! :) Phase Distortion synthesis & 8-stage ENVs are neato. :) TSF
haha yes! The Behringer amp is starting to break down, its been noisy for over a year now even with no lines in it. White noise generators, haha love it. lol
Just gotta say it again - if anyone out there deserves a JP-8, it's you. In the short amount of time you've posted your use of it, I've only ever seen/heard such GOOD use of it - using it for it's strengths and musically (instead of just techno riffs). You should really start a JP fund - I'd certainly contribute! Hell - I'd donate my own stuff too. You got any use for an Elka Rhapsody 490 - need a string synth?
I come back to listen to this frequently. I love the use of the Casio among your sea of analog gear. I was wondering though if you'd share the settings from your custom CZ patches though. I recently got a CZ-5000 myself and the thing is not nearly as easy to program as I thought it would be. Either way keep making tunes. You're awesome and 1/2
@maccagrabme Hi :) That's awesome you have the same CZ-5000 synth. I really like that it has a basic sequencer too. I'd rather have that then velocity of the CZ-1. hehe Here is the patch data, its just DCO-1 , Line 1+1. :) DCO: WF= 1, 0, R=50 L= 00 E. DCW: KF=7, R= 99,79,15, L=99,87 S,00 E. DCA: KF=0, R= 67,55, 26, 26, 50,50,50,50, L=68,99 S,00,00,00,00,00,00 E. R- RATE, L= LEVL. This patch is LINES- 1+1. (DCO-1 twice). Detune= 1, 00,50,00 , OCT= -1. :) TSF
I would title this song " You're in my heart ... You're in my soul ". I could wrap lyrics all around this beat and help turn it into a song. And no, we're not talking rap crap. I'd actually be singing.
1 word. "Awesome" =D I see the Jupiter-8, Juno-1 & Casio CZ-5000, but what are those other keyboards you have there on your right? I see 4 or 5. Can you tell me what they are, please?
Why did you buy the Casio CZ-5000? What kinds of sounds you were looking for? Something particular? Could have been interesting to know. Your video is superb by the way.
I don't own a keyboard, nor know how to play one. But if Jesus were alive today, I'm pretty sure he would be rockin out on the keys with you. GOD BLESS ; )
looks like your having a really good time there. It's good to be happy when composing music. I can't imagine a world without Synths & Midi & Analog & Digital, Old School & New School,,haha,,,,,,anyways,,,keep up the great work. i really enjoyed....Check out some of my music as well for i am also a lover of Synths.......
Luiz Libardo you should for sure buy the Juno1! It's go a lot for the size of the synthesizer. Cz-5000 here was used as a midi controller for the Juno. The cz is a good synthesizer but not near as good as a Juno. Trust me. Get the juno-1! :)
TheSynthFreq thanks man, it will be my first synth, I'm a songwriter and I really love the synth sounds, I certainly will use for my songs! Thank you, I will go juno 1 for sure!
This sound brings me back to my childhood, to the 80's, of course... simply amazing!!!
Excellent groove you got going there TSF, and great the see the oft under rated CZ keeping such esteemed company.
This is a tremendous piece of music ! Excellent writing and sound programming. Cheers from Canada.
Just fantastic. Love it, not just by the cool gear used
Сказать, что классные басы и фантастическая монотонная подложка - ничего не сказать! Я загипнотизирован!
To say that it has a cool bass and a fantastic monotonous backing - to say nothing! I'm mesmerized!
Thank you!
Great job... Greetings from Mexico!!
wonderful like it a lot. I want both synths to add to my collection. But prices are just too high. i'm happt with I got, I feel fortunte, but these synths really rock. Thank you for sharing. Funky.

Awesome!
Loved the leads and intervals on the right
Love the fat strings on the CZ
Jupiter 8 is so lush & fat, it's a must have synth!
You're very good @ improvising!
this is why I like matrixsynth because they bring me to youtube channels like this one. thanks for sharing this great video/song

Best casio cz 5000 strings on the you tube.Jupiter 8 is the analog king.
What an uplifting comment. :) Thank you and god bless....the holy waves.

sweet work on the Jupiter 8!

Hi, there is a vst plug in at vst plug in boutique, this vst can edit and dump all sounds to your cz , cost 50€
Ever programmed a Roland D50? LOL. Also gota CZ5000.

you rock !!!!!
i just purchased a lovely cz 5000 for the low low price of 150 :0
Why did you buy the Casio CZ-5000? What kinds of sounds you were looking for? Something particular? Could have been interesting to know. Your video is superb by the way.
Because the 5000 has sweet pads?
@Efrem2011 Hi :) I am always working towards that goal. :)
How do you like the CZ? I find it a very interesting synth.
the elvis of kee s :=)
Awesome
the only crime here is the Behringer amp. you have enough white noise generators in the synths haha..
I don't own a keyboard, nor know how to play one. But if Jesus were alive today, I'm pretty sure he would be rockin out on the keys with you. GOD BLESS ; )

jupiter sounds so 80's
Now that NASA iasnt spending all that money on the shuttle they should send some synths into space...just to see what happens.
