  • #TheAverageAngler. In this video I try and simplify must have baits for the beginner or weekend angler. As you advance you can always expand. These are all proven baits that you can fish in any part of the country. Below you will find a long list of many options of the baits I talked about in the video, along with the accessories needed to fish them. All of these baits can be fished with a MH baitcasting set up and a spinning rod for finesse stuff.

    Stick worms for wacky rigs, jigs with some trailers to mimick crayfish or bluegill, Squarebill Crankbaits, Poppers, some Zoom trick/finesse worms with a shakey head. Thats what I get most of my bites on anyway. I got alot of stuff.

      That’s one I’ve been meaning to try out. I think MDJ was involved in the design of that and he is from the area I live

      They were always trout lures for me. I have never used them for bass and I don’t really know why.

      I sure did. It seems I forget the obvious now and then. It was purely an oversight.

    I like your list. Mine would differ somewhat. For plastics I’d go with a senko-style bait (take your pick), a baby brush hog, a fluke, and a zoom finesse worm for the straight tail worm. Topwater I’d go with a popper. Square bill and spinner bait for sure too. Take your pick on those as well.

      It’s funny that you mention the Senko. I just realized I left it off and I shouldn’t have. 😂

      @@TheAverageAngler I thought that you might have just forgotten to put it on there. The senko and its imitators have probably caught more bass in the last 30 years than any other lure.

    i’m feeling that old school i’m gonna try to find some glass beads that sounds cool

    • @TheAverageAngler
      @TheAverageAngler  3 місяці тому +1

      The beads are readily available. Don’t use tungsten as it will shatter the beads and cut your line. Gotta find some brass or lead weights.
