I heard this song on the radio the other night for what had to be the first time in 20 years. Hearing Ricky's songs not only reminds me of the good old school country, the way it used to be, the way it should be, but also of my dad... as Ricky was one of my dad's favorites. Dad raised me on country and he used to have all Ricky's albums. Well Dad passed away in 1998, and with him went so much of my life I'd known to then ,(I was only 18 then,). But when I hear songs like this, I'm right back with my dad, in his Chevy, and life is still yet to be explored with no tinges of sadness that have come to stain it irrevocably since. Ricky, thanks so much for all your music and I hope you're enjoying your well earned retirement. And Bettye, thanks so much for this channel that shares the gift of his voice with the world forever.
