@ i would like to see a video or recommendations on how to remove the generator. I know it might affect the timming, so it would be great to have a video showing the proper way to do it…
On my WLA I took my 32e off and fitted a Model 61 with electronic regulator. Looks almost identical, but far better charge control. Initially had an Cycle Electric end cap regulator fitted, but wouldn't fit behind the foot clutch. Got a V-Tronic unit that fits under the oem regulator cover, and tweaked the wiring to suit. Less likely to boil the battery or flatten it than the fixed output of the 32e. Big bonus with the lack of decent HD 6v batteries.
you're almost lucky that gear broke off because it can be a proper pain to get off, I finally made a custom puller, well done on the vid, thank you guys
