- How to convert MODIS HDF file format to TIF format along with reprojection in UTM 45N?
Required Software: Envi
Required Plugin: MODIS Conversion Toolkit(MCTK)
Step 1: Download required MODIS Data (Here i have downloaded 8 days MODIS LST data from USGS)
Step 2: Install Envi and also install MCTK plugin
Step 3: Open ENVI and launch MCTK Plugin and load HDF file (the file must be in standard format as downloaded, if it is renamed it won't be supported by plugin)
Step 4: Select Output type: Reprojected
Give output path and rootname
Select type of data needed( LST Day 1Km in our case)
Select Map projection-UTM
Datum- WGS 1984
Zone-45n
Step 5: Load the projected data in ENVI
Step 6: Save the file in tif format and you will get hdf file converted into tif along with reprojection in UTM 45N.
Load the data in ArcMap if you want to check data.
Thank you!
We can repeat the process time and again for other data as well.
