Avenged Sevenfold - Second heartbeat, the top of that album
I second this!
@@razikboston3414 I third this!
Fun fact, the demo version from 2002 was produced by Teppei Teranishi from Thrice.
@Exotic Hillz I'm sure most of us can, but Waking the Fallen is like a plateau. The top could really span most tracks on it. There's not actually a track that I've heard anyone view as avoidable. On other albums, yes, but on that one, no.
@Exotic Hillz for many that is the best song from waking the fallen. Ofcz music is subjective but second heartbeat is arguably the 'fan favourite' song of waking the fallen.
This genre was called Metalcore. Avenged Sevenfold were one of the first bands to get onto Headbanger's Ball in this style with Killswitch Engage. Other bands were heavily influenced by the band's work during this period, including Bring Me the Horizon, Black Veil Brides, and Asking Alexandria. M. Shadows wanted to sing more melodic music and save himself the strain of vocal damage, so the band phased out the screams. City of Evil was a much more guitar-heavy album afterwards. God Hates Us from Nightmare in 2010 is the last song they released in this style to date, M. Shadows' technique greatly enhanced. Screams otherwise are supplementary.
melodic metalcore, before you got the 90s metalcore
@@dariiofernando Not always melodic. Their first album and a few songs from this album have a lot of dissonance and breakdowns. While the guitar and vocal harmonies are more frequent on some songs, others don't have them. Solos are used sparingly. In Flames is probably a better example of melodic metalcore, or Poison the Well, where those harmonies are used in great regularity...
@@chrismeadows4216 poison the well is metalcore/post-hc not melodic metalcore, and in flames started as melodic death metal band,
@@dariiofernando Poison the Well is generally credited as starting melodic metalcore with The Opposite of December, and In Flames started moving away from MeloDeath on Reroute to Remain. Melodic Metalcore wasn't in their roots because it didn't exist yet, but they formed the entire sound of the genre. Avenged Sevenfold only somewhat had that sound, on songs like Second Heartbeat and Chapter Four. Tracks like Darkness Surrounding, Lips of Deceit, and Radiant Eclipse? Absolutely not.
I'd say avenged were very watered down metalcore
Waking the Fallen album has a mix of harsh and clean vocals. They have transitioned to more clean vocals. I am not sure, but I think it was in part to help save Matt's voice. U guys definitely need to see them live!
Chapter four is from the same album, it's a great song too
The most important, arguably. 🙂🖤
The licks that Gates throws in during the chorus in the LBC version take the song to another level for me. I live the original but just that alone makes LBC my favorite.
this song live is another level
Avenged Sevenfold - "Scream"
Yes, A7X was on Madden 2004 soundtrack. In case no one ever told you.
Anything from the Live at LBC shouldn’t get blocked….Shows their TALENT!!!! See the REV!!!👍🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yes, you are correct - These guys always reminded me of 80s thrash plus so much more. 😁🤘
Check out the live version of this song from the DVD "LBC"
And Rock Am Ring 2011 for the awesome vocals and massive circle pit. 😎🖤
My fav A7X song. The -guitar- drums is just 🤌
you saying this was in madden made me laugh because the first A7X song I heard was in a nascar game--Chapter Four (which I thought was the band name at first)
A7x - Grandfather of all the new metalcore bands
always appreciate dudes who appreciates good instrumentals
Chapter four - Trashed and scattered
"Strength of the World" "Acid Rain" "This Means War" "Hail to the King" "Save Me"
My favorite avenged sevenfold album. So many memories listening to this back in college. Probably my first introduction into harder metal than Metallica. A good gateway with good melodies. Not the perfect metal album whatsoever, but the perfect one for me at that time.
TheRev Scream👏👏
I saw A7X in 2003 (Warped Tour) & 2005 (Pointfest STL)...I always called this song "the panty dropper"...it's still my favorite song by them. And yes, they transitioned to cleaner vocals because Matt absolutely shredded his vocal cords during their "screamo" years. They were truly the band's best years musically, in my opinion. Great reaction BTW. Was fun to watch you guys genuinely enjoy this.
They were a lot younger and everyone has evolved and they have a different drummer. Matt aka M Shadows the lead singer went through some problems with his voice I believe and his voice changed a bit but it's a good change.
Fun fact he got his vocal lessons from the same person that gave lessons to the singer for GNR
@@johnnymitzner4707 you can really hear that in The Stage. But I think the technique more fits Shadows, not Axl
Welcome to the family is another great one
That squeel sound is called a pinch harmonic. Very cool
Idk we used to call Avenged Sevenfold ScreamO back in the day. Some called it Metalcore, but anything with feelings and Heavy, defiantly screamo lol.
Avenged sevenfolds song: Shepard of fire. Was in one of the cod bo1/2 zombie maps (don’t really remember) I think it was one of the dlc‘s
Hahaaaa I loved the reactions to this! Yes!! You get it! Bad ass song! Probably one of the best I have plenty above it from them. Buried Alive is unbelievable.
OH YESSS!!! Waking the fallen is their best album in my opinion!
This is one of the most entertaining reactions I have ever seen! The look on your faces was epic. This was the first song I heard from Avenged Sevenfold many years ago and it has been on my workout playlist every since.
Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage! Y'all will love it.
Syn ain't a bad looking guy. He and M. Shadows, both. They are married to twins.
You should check out Thedooo playing guitar on Omegle, best guitarist you will ever see!
Gotta do M.I.A. to hear arguably the greatest solo Synyster Gates has ever recorded.
Zacky Vengeance wrote and played the main guitar riff on this one. He was the band's lead guitarist on the album before. Justin Sane played bass on that one. This is the band's first record with their main lineup before The Rev died in 2009. It's about cheating.
m.ua-cam.com/video/HKhZ-NHsHeA/v-deo.html
The M.I.A solo was actually papa Gates, not Syn. That's a cool thing!
@@xfrostyresonance8614 it wasn't. Papa Gates has highlighted which A7X songs he was on over the years, and M.I.A. wasn't one of them. Syn has also stated multiple times that the M.I.A. solo is the hardest he's ever written.
If you're doing Bat country, Beast and the Harlot, or Dear God, check out the lyric videos since the official ones are edited out and are a few minutes shorter. That said, I would still recommend some of their deeper cuts like The Wicked End, Sidewinder, Save Me, Victim, and Coming Home.
Please do more Avenged Sevenfold they are great and keep up the good work
oh, and i guess all sevenfold fans have a crush in synyster gates. he rocks and is such a handsome and sexy man
Do "The Rev Trilogy" please. Start with Fiction -> Save Me -> So Far Away. And check them perform live too especially LBC. 🔥🔥🔥
Shepherd of Fire!
I think he actually blew his throat out and had multiple throat surgeries That's why he doesn't really scream anymore
This album is half screaming half clean vocals for the most part, starting with city of evil the album after this they got rid of the large majority of screaming. City of evil is a masterpiece tho so any song from there makes a good reaction.
Metalcore
A7X live at LBC anything ... They are so tight live.
Next - buried Alive Avenged Sevenfold
Bat Country was in NHL 2006.
