Oooooh, I'm in love with the sour apple/delphinium mix. Just off to Dharma to order some of those. Thank you for the inspiration, Sadie. Love your enthusiasm for dyeing. Oh, and I hear you on the spinning. It's the post-TdF slump - your body needs a rest from the continual position that your body was in for so many consecutive hours! It'll come back. :)
Ohh love watching your progression and trying new things😊 colours turned out beautiful. You can do this solar dyeing out in the sun in jars and in plastic zip lock bags hung off the cloths line.
Thank you, and yes, I've tried it, but alas, the uk is not warm enough. I tried it, and have had to heat the jars in the big pan lol I will get a hot enough day one day in the future xx
Dang it Sadie! You've reminded me of something I've been wanting to do and forgot to write it down 😂 Love you! 🫂☕ I have 50ish grams scrap Merino I wanted to wick dye like that due to not a lot of jars, but bowls instead 😂
Thank you and yes I could break each peice down and either make them into rolags or batts and add in silks and bamboos and stuff like that it would be fun xx
Hi Sadie, I thought I would ask this question here seeing as it is about dye. Do you ever spin the yarn first then dye it or do you always dye the flooph first? Thanking you kindly.
This will be interesting to see you spin them up. You're always doing something different! What will you do with it once it's all spun??? Let the magic happen!
That's the question: What will I do with the yarn? Probably look at it for a long time until it tells me what it wants to be. If that makes sense. I don't pick the project the yarn does xx
I wasn’t concerned about felting, but I was curious about how deeply the dye penetrated into the second piece. Sadie! Thank you!

Thank you, briael. I think you're right about post tdf as much as I wanted to carry on when it finished. My body is more like no, no, we can't. lol xx
Gorgeous. Now I'll have to try it.

It will work just use more dye than I did lol xx
I LOVE this technique…..
Me too xx
How gorgeous and I am sure your spin will make it even more beautiful. If you didn't want the white breaks, is there a way you can fill those gaps?
Thank you and yes I could break each peice down and either make them into rolags or batts and add in silks and bamboos and stuff like that it would be fun xx

Both I just struggle spinning one colour or a natural as I find it boring lol hence why I like to dye before but I have dyed yarn . Xxx
Go darker! You know you want to lol
Lol I did but didn't at the same time lol xx
Not all cats are lactose intolerant. And a lot aren't until they're older.
Oo I didn't know that thank you xx
I'm a crazy cat lady lol
