Thanks for sharing this. I got a Microcosm Hologram for my Argon8 synth and am still exploring its possibilities. The Phrase Looper is the function I felt the most challenge with, as if I was not using its full capability. This walk through helps a lot.
Really cool stuff, haven't seen anything like this yet on the Micro. Is there a way to make the phrase looper work on an input envelope like the Infinite Jets?
What happens in sync mode if I recorded a loop in lets say 120 bpm and than on the DAW I slow down to 110 bpm. Will the pitch of the loop change or the length? Or will it be time stretched similar to a sample in Ableton so that pitch and length of the loop stay the same?
Amazing video! Because of this video I have finally started messing around with the looper. Question about the layers if you know the answer. When you start layering, does the new layers end recording as soon as they come to the end of initial loop? Or does the new layers allow recording to go until you press the left footswitch allowing for different length layers? Thanks in advance!
Hello, I wanted to ask if my recording setup would work with this pedal before buying it. If I run my guitar into the microcosm and then to my UR22C audio interface to send the signal to my laptop, would that work?
How do you have it connected to abelton? I was wondering if I could apply the pedal to multiple tracks. PS this video was very helpful and I really enjoyed your looping jams too!
Thanks for this!!!!! One question, my understanding is that the midi function syncs the EFFECTS to the incoming tempo. Is there any way to quantize the looper itself to the incoming midi from say a drum machine/sampler?
Probably the best Microcosm video I see so far. Congrats!
This was most helpful. I found the phase looper was pretty complex for a newbie. Appreciated you putting this together
This videos is AMAZING! Just got mine and thought I’d see this before continuing to use it for the first time and I love it so much!!!
Thanks! This is the material most videos totally skip. Everyone kind of talks about main modes and calls it a day.
One of the best videos for the Microcosm. Thank you!!!👍

Some really useful info there thank you 👍🏻
Great video, thanks for this
I love that you have a Dot because I have a Dot and I think it's a lovely guitar!
I love mine!
Nice ideas in this video. Thanks
Really helpful, thanks!

Excellent video!

So, when the tempo is locked via Midi, you can still change the subdivisions with the time knob, right?

Yes, the initial loop length will determine the max length of the new layers.
Please release the schematic for the giant delay pedal 🥲
Pretty sure that's protected by the UAP investigations division within the pentagon. . .

Yep!
@@DougHanson Fantastic! Will purchase immediately... I cannot wait to try it out :D

The looper will quantize to the nearest midi beat. So if you hit record a bit early, the loop will still start on the downbeat of the next measure.
Doesn’t Hologram say that there will be MIDI drift even if you follow that instruction?
@@thomk7678 I'm curious where did you see that? I think I've been experiencing that and thought the device was the issue.
My timing sucks trying to get a perfect loop with it 🥲.
