Today we shoot over to The Compound to use LZ's dyno and fine tune the GTV's timing and fuel curve. Then we pop the 325TDS Wagon on and troubleshoot the power issue I have been having. When we get back to the shop we show you an update on the Miata and the Foxbody as we gear up for an awesome season of drifting!
The fox body at first I thought was so stupid now it's literally my favorite car because it's just about maximizing and doing more with less. It's sick af

following along for the alfa content as I have a 1750 spica 1971 spider. I installed the 123 distributor (bluetooth) this past season and its been working well, seems to have picked up a decent bit of mid range power with my current timing map based on the alfabb recommendations. I though the limiting factor would be the US spec cam but being that you are running 10.5s I though there would be a little more power available. It is nice to know that trumpets would pickup a little power over the spica box that so many feel is perfectly tuned from the factory, or maybe it has to do with more lift you are getting out of the cam. Either way loving the alfa content, keep it coming!

My stock 2 liter alfa engine performed the same way to tuning. I think the main issue is the cams. They are not made for high RPM, they just give mid range torque and, due to the low compression, it just doesn't respond on high rpm...

@@chelseadenofa what are you running for fuel? Pump gas or something like 110 or c-12 or c-16? Might can try running a good octane booster if your running regular pump gas.

It’s tough, being real and not copy pasting isn’t a profitable venture, but it’s more fulfilling to me. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about becoming an influencer or playing those games. I just feel like it’s so lifeless, but watching their financial success is like movie stars in the 90’s

Imo, I wouldn't go bigger than that on the Lada. They look just right, if anything I might even test 1" smaller with thicccc tires. But yeah 14s are as big as I would go on these.
Sounds like you need to put four Keihin FCRs on there and spend hours and hours messing with 4 different jetting circuits trying to pick up like 3hp.
Chelsea, this might sound a little weird and jank, but have you ever considered resistoring down the maf? Obviously it’s not the end all be all situation, but it would give you more headroom.

Go full F1 spec and run 1.7 lambda, it’ll pick up jam then, for about a second.
Would love to see the same tuning efforts done with a dragy or 1/4 mile although might be a long time going down the track lol. Always see people say their airbox doesn't pick up on the dyno but makes a big difference while driving 🤔
Right now the TDS is making around 145BHP and around 192ftlb, which is pretty much stock power for that engine/car.
Delete the maf, both in the tune, and physically, you don't need it. Same goes for the EGR delete, if you haven't already, delete it ASAP. There's a lot more to it, but I've never owned a diesel, therefore I don't know THAT much, however, my best friend eye balled a tune at home, and his tds would spin up to 3rd gear on 17s, and that was years ago.

Adam LZ compound has plenty of lifts. Why would you wait and take the time to try to take it back to where you live to do the work
The TDS is capable of well over 200BHP and 350NM of torque.
My guess for the wagon is 143hp
