Now own a HP2 as well...let me tell you, it's a great guitar with that Wolfgang feeling, but the PUPs sound different and the Peavey lic FR Tremolo is bad...changed it and changed the PUP, now it's a killer...but would be an unfair comparison now.
I still have my 90's Peavy Wolfie in Red. I bought it from Electro Music in Doncaster. Fabulous guitar. Difference with the ones in this video is the switches to split the pickups - none on the original.

Don't think the Floyd is meant to be floating? It does have a little rubber strip under it, so that might be alowing you to slightly pull up. But it's meant to be a divebomb only trem as per original W'gang.
That guy should at least get a nod from EVH (Fender). He did all the grunt work developing the guitar ( the Wolfgang is different than the original Ernie Ball EBMM), then EVH (the company)did a couple of minor changes to it and called it their own. And raised the price three-fourfold.
Apparently it was a gentleman's agreement when Eddie left Peavey and went to fender. The agreement was that as long as Eddie didn't let Fender make his amps, then Peavey wouldn't make the Wolfgang. Then Eddie did take his amps to Fender. So Peavey eventually decided to start make this model again.
Somehow sounds just like a real Eddie guitar even in single coil. But that’s been debated if his bridge pickup was even fully wired to be a true Hum-bucker
Hallo. I have a sugestion for a next Video. Is it possible to make a video about cheap(maybe under 500€) Floyd Rose Guitars that do not suck and are good for songs from artists like Pantera, EvH or Mötley Crüe. This may helps some people out there, including me. Thank you
The evh Wolfgang is about the only thing in that price range with a usable Floyd. 700 to a grand gets you lots of choices with a Floyd 1000. I just picked up a jem Jr ignoring the warnings and the Floyd like from goto in it is sketch

Flavio It’s 2 things going on that gives it’s tiny appearance. The neck is inserted farther into the body but also all of the Wolfgang bodies are smaller bodies. The first one I tried I thought I had some Jr version it was so small feeling. I’ve not ever purchased one because when I pick them up it just feels very small. I often wonder if the Signature American version is a bigger body. But for sure yes this guitar body is on the small side.

It’s been done. When they were the Ernie Ball Music Man EVH Signature, Peavey EVH Wolfgang, and EVH Wolfgang.

Peavey bass player here. Peavey USA basses are some of the BEST ever made. I choose my Peaveys over my Alembics, usually.

This was not designed by EVH, a guy from peavey designed it, I forget his name. That's why Peavey can use it.

I’ve got the Tiger Eye with kill switch and EVH pups. It roars, wouldn’t give it up for anything.
So it roars once you changed the pickups which are around 85% of the sound. If not more!!
there is really no need for a ten degree tilt on the headstock of a guitar with a locking nut..
This is also the difference on the EVH USA and MIM EVH special models. One is 1100 and the other 3400. There is so much bullshit in guitars.

Yes, the Wolfgang, HP Special and HP2 are small and nimble guitars, mine weights 3.2 kg as well.
