amen to that. you love hubie. we love hubie. some of us feel guilty for poking fun at him, but beyond that i say screw it, we all love hubie so let the good times roll. if there's one thing norris cole ever taught me about life, it's that you aren't living unless you are wearing your hopes, dreams, loves, and desires out in the open for people to make fun of. that's the only way to do it... i also wish people would stop saying this channel is underrated. did you know we were nominated for a streamy? i never heard how that went, but it's beside the point. we are exactly where we need to be in time and space and subscribers etc. i remember when it was much smaller numbers around here... back in those days you could ramble a little bit about cow tipping in your sb dunks, and get a direct line with TNBAST himself. anyhow, be satisfied with what you are, and less concerned with where you are, if you are only comparing your location with that of others. everything evergreen indicates that the truest expression of who you are is steadfast adherence to telling the stories you were put here to tell, regardless of any other factors. sing the song that's in your heart. be the nerd you were meant to be. and at the end of it, somebody is going to think your left handed layups are sexy, and they'll subscribe to your channel, and that channel will grow... and it's all going to be good bc we do what we do, and the expectations are nothing but that. also gotta say, i am honestly surprised at how goddman stubborn carmelo is. i didn't think he'd still be playing after how the last few years have gone for him. he must really like doing this or something idk. i'm gonna go make dinner now.

The editing is so 🔥 that @3:10 I decided it deserved better than my phone and I instead should watch this on the big TV with surround sound.

My grandfather was a one-eyed baseball scout. He had a glass eye and spittoons strategically placed around his house. Those two bits of info from the last sentence being somewhat unrelated but I'm painting a picture here. A picture of a one-glass-eyed, tobacco chewing, pearl snap shirt wearing, baseball player scouting grandfather. So yeah...
The play call that haunts me is when Kobe hit the game winner vs Sacramento “What a shot, he’s unbelievable” and then Stu Lantz just says “No He’s Not.” I could get a whiff of where he was trying to go, what he was trying to say. That Kobe “You Don’t Know Basketball” Bryant is so clutch that we’ve come to expect insane shots like this, but instead Stu falls short and just keeps muttering No He’s Not into the void.
lmao I came here to argue with this comment because I love this call, i love the visceral juxtaposition between the crowd’s roaring energy and Stu’s ennui, but realized the original commenter was me.

1. The only times I've really let rip with some good, way-down, exercising that diaphragm kind of screaming since childhood have all been at my cat. In 2020, she destroyed a pair of $200 sheet, and a $250 bottle of single malt. I'm glad I didn't catch her, because I would mostly likely have done horrible things.
2. I forget the other questions, but damn, the Blind Basketball Analytics Inventor and Maven...could almost be some obscure pre-superhero superhero comic name, like the Shadow, the Phantom, the Spirit, and whatever, mixed with Japanese comics names like Lone Wolf and Cub: Blink Basketball Analytics Inventor and Maven.
3. Now I really did forget the 3rd question--something about a call that haunts me? Definitely LeBron's spiteful call to Adam Silver...

...but the most estupido one I ever saw was Tim Hardaway's stomach getting a foul called on it. Timmy's stomach pulled the damned sneaky act of getting Barkley's knee implanted in it, which sent Hardaway to the ground. And then...my God, then the stomach added injury to insult by baiting the helpless Chuck into stomping it out. Yep--it baited Chuck into smashing his foot onto this treacherous surface, all 250 lbs of him sprinting toward the basket... Clearly, it was all the stomach's scheme to get Chuck to crush Tim's spine, stepping right into its middle, the middle of Hardaway's middle, a clear attempt to potentially have Chuck get unlucky and roll an ankle. This was so monstrous that the amateur ref had *no choice* but to blow that whistle on Hardaway's stomach, giving Chuck 2 shots for slamming a smaller guy to the ground and then axe-kicking his organ-filled abdomen.
That call haunts my intelligence.

3) there was a regular season celtics game 2 years ago where brad stevens drew up a play that resulted in al horford with the ball open in layup range of the basket...and he missed the layup and the commentator thought it went in and it took him 30 sec to notice it

i'm haunted by the time they showed a fan sinking a half court shot at halftime and mike breen commented on it but didn't give him a "bang!". it's troubling to realize that mike breen thinks a fan winning $45000 is less important than frank ntilikina hitting a 3 against the pacers in a game in november.

Last time I yelled at home was Football umpires. Australian Football doesn't have many hard and fast rules, it is mostly umpires interpretations. Mystifying at best. Imagine if Basketball had the same thing.
