so lovely recognizing some of those spots from your perspective. maybe even some of the same animals ha. great work on this and yes, this hike kicked my butt too
Wow thanks Kraig for your lovely comment! Really happy right now since I started carrying my camera with me because of you! We originally planned the track based on your GPX files but soon found out it was impossible at this time of the year! Also in your hiking videos you make these strong ascents look so easy! Respect for that 🙌
My 17-year-old son and me were going to do the same trip as Kraig in the Picos de Europa this summer, before he started university in September, but due to medical problems in the family (not related to Covid-19) we have had to postpone it. Let's see if next year we can do it and post a video, even if it is only a fraction of how inspiring yours are. Thanks to both.
I wish you the best of luck that your plans will come true! The Picos are really a place you have to see with your own eyes to realize how special it is! ☺️
Can someone link the files for these routes or show me how or where to find them? Apologies if this is rookie sounding! I am wanting to do the route for my 30th next year! Great footage & journey my friend!
Very true! It’s one of the few regions in Europe with bears and wolves! A friend of mine documented the bear population there. So glad that this place exists!
I love Kraig's video of El Anillo (the hike he did in the video.) I did (with companions) La Ruta de la Reconquista to Poncebos, then onward, reaching Tresviso, and down the Roman road to the Urdón River gorge, back in 2010. So good to see the Picos again through Kraig's eyes/camera/drone, and now YOURS. Wow, watching your drone shots even returns to me that feeling of fullness in the chest and lungs, just standing for a moment and feeling the grandeur of the mountains there and thoroughly happy to be nothing more than a mere speck of flesh amongst all the karst and limestone, a mere speck in the span of geological age. Thank you for sharing your hike!
Thank you so much for your lovely words. I am sorry it took me so long to respond but I felt really flattered by your words! Thank you so much, comments like these really motivate me to upload new videos :)
I really didn't expect the Picos de Europa would be this outstanding but you could say the blew my mind! They are definitely more extreme then the alps or the pyrenees for example.
Awesome video Severin, truely looks like an unreal place! Well done on recognising the difficulty early on and changing plans. Can’t wait to visit there someday myself!
Thanks Josh! Really appreciate your kind comment ☺️ Yes I think it’s really hard sometimes to give up on your plans but you are always happier afterwards!
Wow, this hiking video is absolutely breathtaking! 😍 The scenery is stunning, and your editing skills really bring out the beauty of the trail. 🌲🏞 I felt like I was right there with you, soaking in the nature vibes. Your passion for hiking is contagious! 🥾🌄 Can't wait to explore more of your content. Hoping to see you on my channel soon too! 🤞🏞 Keep up the fantastic work! 👏
I was there a week ago too and I know exactly what you mean when you say 'harder than expected'. The views are absolutely fantastic and it's awesome to meet so many animals along the way but the steepness really took me by surprise. Beautifully shot!
Thanks for your lovely comment Kristina! Really appreciate it ☺️ Good to know I am not the only one who felt this way 😄 I really had the impression someone just took these rocks and squeezed or pushed them together!

Thank you for this amazing video. This was such a relief from the ever-increasing covid cases in my country and feeling trapped in a large, polluted city. Gonna graduate from high school, travel and one day conquer those peaks and breathe in the fresh air. Thank you.
Well thank you for your lovely words! I felt exactly the same when I started watching these silent hiking videos and it inspired me to just go for it! I hope all of your plans will come true and I wish you the best of luck ☺️🙌

Lovely region. There is so many to see and many kms to do :) In 2019 i do to the top of Morra Lechugales 2424mts. Is breathtaking the view ;) All good for you
Hey Jędrek, you can look up the elevation in the link I posted in the description but generally speaking it felt very steep compared to the alps for example. It had a lot of ascents with more than 20%.
Would be great/ very useful if you could let me know the route you took. Looks absolutely beautiful. Hoping to go there myself in the not too distant future. Many thanks.
Hey Iain, the gpx from the track is in the video description :) Kraig Adams also has his route as a gpx if you want to make a 10days hike. And thanks 😊 🙏 you definitely have to see it for yourself!
