I agree ..I tried both out few months ago across different styles moose knuckles was better fitted, better finished and yes very quiet! The fur is lot softer and I don't seem to have any shedding. I also feel Moose is less bulky and restrictive.
I think what turned me off the most with CG was that 4/5 jackets have loose threads, bigger gaps between seams ... Also I find the CG logo the tackiest thing ever ... Black lable looks a lot better.
Anyway I went with the moose and quite happy with it.

Canada Goose Chilliwack down jacket is one of my favorites. I think if you compared that with the 3Q, then the scores would be closer
3 q is warmer and you can snag a really good deal at the Niagara outlet for damn. Nere 50% off and the fabric of putter shell is more durable I'd say the cg MacMillan or windom is a better comparison
Yes I agree, It's not a fair comparison. They are for different types of environments. I have the 3Q and it's a fantastic coat for an urban environment but if I was in the North Pole I would go for the CG.

For casual every day use quality and the durability I give it to the moose knuckle 3 q especially because u can get a previous season version for about 550 to 650 usd or just buy this year's for about 900 to 1000

Only thing I am interested in, which one is warmer. MK, higher fill power, level 4 canada cold. And CG just states below - 30. So I would guess CG right?

Thank you for your review. I got moose over CG. I think you should size down on the CG. Moose won over because of their sale. I couldn’t get the black which is full price so went with army. The dark blue which I prefer over green is sold out.

U Probably chose the least commonly worn Canada goose jacket that is used in urban cities. The chateau, Wyndham or Emory parkas would have been better and more fairer comparisons.... those are the ones people will wear for more on the day to day. The one u are reviewing is more for researchers in Alaska. Which is why it's designed to be more bulky. Just saying.

I have the moose Stirling parka ! And it’s so beautiful and it’s amazingly warm . I had a goose before and I can honestly say that the moose is way more warm and at the same time beautiful to look at . I live in Norway and it can be cold winters here .

There are some hoodies that might be interesting, for examples talking about hoodies we all know and usually wear, like champion and GAP, which are the most affordable (most of the times). Or for examples Carhatt, Obey, North Face.. and yeah if you’re wallet is more generous you can try with other streetwear brands like stussy, supreme or even some un-known brands. So this is my opinion. So I’m wondering, which one for you can be called “the real hoodie” ?.

Canada goose expedition has a lower fill power but a far higher fill weight, a more protettive hood, it's bulkier and thicker, so it's definitely warmer than MK 3Q. Arc'teryx Cerium has a higher fill power than CG expedition or MK 3Q but it's not warmer. CG expedition is bulky but you don't downsize: the expedition fit is for layering when the temperature drops far below negatives. In other words, CG expedition, like mantra or resolute, is not made for streetwear.

never had a Canada Goose but I can tell that my Moose Knuckles is fantastic, best jacket I have ever worn. The quality is fantastic.

Awesome Video! Thanks so much! I'm actually a female in the market for a new long winter coat and so far its between the CG Mystique and MK Saskatchewan. I still have to go and try on, but I'm doing research before I go into the stores. I like that you said that the CG wasn't that attractive. Finally, someone said it! LOL! So many pros and cons to each. I guess it depends on what's most important. I love the hood wire option on CG but the fur on MK is softer, but it sheds. I think this is a great metaphor for life - you can't have it all ;)

I purchased the Marcus model by Parajumpers for men , extremely well crafted jackets.

I've had a Canada Goose Citadel parka for 8 years, and their quality has really gone downhill. Shopping for a new parka I bought an Emory and returned it because there was so little down. It was ridiculous for the price and supposed thermal rating. I'll buy almost any other brand now. I got a Mackage Edward parka which is so much nicer and warmer than my old Canada Goose. Also got a Triple FAT Goose Huron parka as my "work"coat which is fantastic, warmer than my old Canada Goose, better features and far cheaper. Really disappointed in how far Canada Goose has fallen in quality, although people still seem to want to buy it.

Love the content! I’ve been looking at the Canada goose jacket new to the brand. I’m 5ft 4 male, ~165-175 , in good shape. Any help with sizing is appreciated. Just got the salehebembury concord jacket(think based off the kelowna fleece) in L and it feels a bit big, long sleeves and hits a bit low. How tall are you?
Thanks for watching! I'm 5'10, 160 lbs with 37" chest and I usually wear size small for all my jackets. I would recommend getting a size that fits your chest and the length you can always take it to a tailor. Finding perfect fit off the rack can be a little difficult.
This review makes me want to get get the 3q. Got the stirling from mk but it looks kind of weird on me since I’m short(5’5). Lol. Might end up swapping it for the 3q.

are you talking about the moose knuckles jacket? Go up a size for moose knuckes if you want to wear a hoodie underneath. For Canada goose, you can go TTS
I just grabbed the Moose knuckles jacket was a big fan of the design and quality BUT I live in Los Angeles worried it may be a little to warm our winters are typically high 40s-60s what do you think?

@@jayyf3609 personally I don’t, the maya is warm don’t get me wrong but the MK was straight up HEAVY very well built but definitely to much for LA man. Maya I can wear indoors for a bit and not get to warm, the MK id be sweating after 3 minutes or so.
I live in California so I could never wear these because of the heat but man I wish I live somewhere cold just to buy and wear the moose knuckle jacket
you can tell that the Canada Goose is made for real harsh climates like the Arktis while the Moose Knuckles is a fashion jacket for cold urban enviroments

As I have both the Wyndham and The 3Q, Moose Knuckles is Far superior in build quality warmth and everything tbh.
How does the size of the Wyndham compare to the 3Q?

Since you're the same weight as me and only an inch taller, I would recommend an XS for the Canada Goose and M for the Moose Knuckle.

Well,once a winter jacket is heavy,i will never touch it.There are more warmer but lighter jackets from my favourite brand sailracing.

I don't know what's up with your Moose Knuckles fur trim, I have an MK Ballistic Bomber that's supposedly made with just blue fox fur from finland, it's never ever shed, so to see that yours is a mix of 2 furs and it sheds is weird, but the jacket is clearly authentic, I don't know if you repeatedly handle the fur, but if you don't touch it, it shouldn't shed

Moose knuckles quality is unmatched. Sorry if I go into a store to look at any other jacket in a similar price range and I see literal threads hanging off the jacket already then you know it’s terrible quality. Not with moose knuckles. Their stuff is way better quality over all. Everything else is inferior
I have the langford black label and the expedition lets face it CG is the best hands down they werent even available for public purchase at first, MK is great i have their vest and its better than CG vests at the same price point but their jackets are fashion pieces for the city not tools for the wild like CG

For all who ask about fill power and warmth. Higher fill power does't means warmer jacket. Fill power is only a measure of how much the down loft: higher fill power means more loft. Canada goose snow mantra, with 675 fill power, a 80:20 ratio between down and feathers, is far warmer than rab neutrino pro, with 800 fill power, 90:10 ratio between down and feathers, or than feathered friends eos, with 900 fill power and 95:5 ratio between down and feathers, because is filled with more more down than the other two jacket, is far bulkier, less packable and so on. 750 grams of 675 down are definitely warmer than, for example, 250 grams of 900 down. Canada goose snow mantra is not warmer than feathered friends Rock and ice parka, which has 582 grams (in size m) of 900 fill power down, with a 96:4 ratio and is fully baffle box. This is one raw criterion to understand some of the key factoring of warmth. Others are about the construction. For example, baffle box construction has no cold spot and allow the down lo loft better, high collar prevents warm air to leak from the upper body, the outer shell is more or less wind resistant or compketely windproof, as gore windstopper, pertex shield, event, goretex or pertex endurance . The elasticated cuffs and the length of the jacket are less important in very frigid climates when is necessary to wear adeguate gloves and pants.
About the fill weight (how many down) and the fill power (how the down loft), one raw criterion to understand which is warmer, is the loft of the jacket: more loft means more down or, with the same amount of down, better quality of the down itself. Also the ratio is important, because down trapps air and feathers not. All the down filled jacket with fill power lower than 700 has a ratio of 85:15 or worse. All the expedition down suit, all the expedition down jacket or parka like jacket, are full box baffle or, the lightest, are box baffle on the torso. All the parkas, with though exterior shell, also those which are used in antarctica, are sewen through, with some exceptions, like fjallraven expedition n°1, nobis Condor extreme and rab arktus. All the others, the big parkas by Canada goose, the quartz.co Vostok, the OSC mission and all the others parkas by osc, Canada goose, moose knuckles, the north face, parajumpers and so on, are sewen through, with outer shell sewen only alone the borders, to create a thin air gap with the down box and minimizing cold spot.
In my opinion moose knuckles are the most stylish winter parkas and they keep you warm in the most of the coldest enviroments, , but they are not expedition garments and absolutely not the warmest.

Moose is made in Vietnam where as Goose is made in Canada. I own both, for a couple of years now, and can undoubtedly say that Canada Goose makes better jackets, which will last forever and moose knuckles will last you for around 8-10 years only if you use it gently. Fur on mine are half in volume now. And jacket did get a bit tighter. Where as Goose fits me the same. Also can wear 2 layers underneath it.
The Moose in this video is made in Canada. Some of them are made in Vietnam though

Here in Manitoba Canada i chose the moose knuckle stirling parka, they have one of their main canada goose factories here and the workers sell the jackets to their friends/family..etc..etc for half the price and it’s beginning to get played out. You literally see everyone has em’
