Lee, your heartbreak was becoming visible at 5:11 and brought tears to my eyes. It’s a gift to us that you let your love show so much. Thank you, Lee! ❤
This album, or better saying, the first 3 albums by Tears for Fears are just out of this world. Simply astounding works, and pretty different on their own. The Hurting is more barebones synth pop, kinda depressing themes and soundscapes (I'd suggest listening to bonus tracks which were singles, like The Way You Are) Songs From The Big Chair still using major eletronic sounds, but starts to get more flair and have more intricate production (and all the hits are there) and then Seeds of Love is like the epitome of high value production, less drum pads and more personnel, sort of a concept album too.
I was a big fan of Tears For Fears as a teen back in the 80's and still love them. Also checkout Shout, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Mad World, and Working Hour. I like what you said about truth. I definitely came into this world as a red pill person
I'm hoping everyone below is asking you to play with vocals, because the lyrics are incredible as are the vocals, astounding! Tears For Fears are an incredible band, their production and engineering rivals Steely Dan, the ultimate compliment. Check out: Working Hour, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Elemental, Raoul and the Kings of Spain, Shout, Everyone Wants to Rule the World, Break It Down Again, Goodnight Song, Mr. Pessimist, I can go on and on. this band is worthy of a very deep dive.
Oh Heidi, I told you that I was sure that I would like this if you did and OMG! I am not ashamed to say that I got a little misty eyed listening to this. Curt’s bass throughout the song and all those soaring notes, the soundscapes, WOW. I love Oleta’s vocals but this really was something special. Thanks so much for requesting this on Patreon. 🙏🏆🔥
No other artists layers songs like Tears For Fears do. This song works incredibly well as an instrumental, but then most of their other songs do as well. For my money, Woman In Chains is their masterpiece, the album that it is taken from, The Seeds Of Love, is my favourite album of all time. The album only has 8 tracks, but each one is awesome. The album starts with Woman In Chains, then it moves to what can only be described as their magnum opus, the 8 minutes of magic that is Badman's Song with it's Jazz influence, TFF take the listener to church on that song. Track 3 is their homage to The Beatles, Sowing The Seeds Of Love, close your eyes a song that belongs on Sargeant Pepper. Track 4 is the pure pop of Advice For The Young At Heart, the second half of the album is very atmospheric with the beautiful sounds of Standing On The Corner Of The Third World, if Woman In Chains sounds well as an instrumental, then I would imagine Standing On The Corner would top it. then comes Swords And Knives which is another glorious piece of music, then it's the upbear Year Of The knife, the album finishes with Famous Last Words which is a song about the aftermath of a nuclear fallout. If you only hear one TFF album, it should be Seeds Of Love.
TFF will always be in my list of Top 10 greatest bands of all time. 💯 This album is such a masterpiece. Oleta Adams was only on this one album, but her voice and piano just take the band to the next level! Elemental and Big Chair are also phenomenal albums!😍
This specific video was requested so I did the instrumental one. I will still check out the original because this was awesome in every sense of the word
music like this could not have happened without prog. One of my fav TFF albums is "Saturnine, Martial and Lunatic" which I would describe as a collection of art-B sides just because TFF wanted to release beautiful music, not necessarily commercial. Music for the sake of it - _Sea Song_ , a follow-up to The Beatles _I am The Walrus_ - even has a tone poem (think: Debussy) called _Pharos_ just for the hell of it - a great musical album :) Great reaction, Lee!
Disappointing that this version didn't include the soaring vocals of Roland and Oleta. As an instrumental it's fine, and better quality than most music of today. But it's just not the same song or experience without them. The original is a must listen.💯
Oh gosh Lee, one of the greatest lyrical songs ever and you did the instrumental lol, your reactions are great, now go do it with the lyrics, Oleta Adams and the superb video, Oleta is fabulous as is Roland
This is cool 😎 but the regular vocal version is much better. I think for a first listen it’s a shame you can’t hear how amazing Roland and Oleta Adams are together. I hope you will sometime listen to it on the channel. Phil Collins is on drums and the album features several other musicians like Pino Palladino on bass and Manu Katche and Simon Phillips on drums. Steven Wilson has said many times that this is a perfect sounding album. The Seeds Of Love is one of the best albums of the 1980’s. Every song is incredible. Thanks for the reaction!
The album where this song comes from includes the most notorious rip off of the Beatles ever done. With the possible exception of "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO, which models its shape after the middle section of "A day in a life". The song "Sowing the seeds of love" by Tears from Fears is like something out of the "Magical mystery tour" album, and without "I'm the Walrus " ... "Sowing the seeds of love would simply not exist I'm not saying this to put down Tears for Fears. It's just to say one more time how absolutely great the Beatles were and how long is their shadow

❤
Now with the vocals please. Brillant piece of music.
THIS! It's loses SO MUCH emotion without the vocals.
The original with the vocals is a MUST... an absolute masterpiece in my opinion.
Yup, if you haven't, you definitely need to listen to the original with vocals.
Great ! I love this album and all tears for fears. Phil Collins on drum on this song. All musicians are fantastics, Manu Katché, Pino Paladino....
I love Tears for Fears, their debut album The Hurting in particular.
Great song for vocals and lyrics. Definitely listen to the version with singing!

I’d never heard just the instrumental. Stunning even without the amazing lyrics and voices. Unexpectedly powerful.
"Advice for the Young at Heart" is another gem from this album. As is the title track ("Sowing the Seeds of Love" with its Beatlesesqe soundscape).
Lee, it does fill your soul.
Heidi. I absolutely adore this instrumental version. Every note just perfection x
Snoops, I’m glad you love it ✨!

Ty ‘Advice For The Young At Heart’ from this album. Stellar as well.

Check out Oleta on Bad Mans Song live its amazing

❤️Barry, I’m glad you love it!
The soundscapes, yes… ! Very moving…!
Barry, I’m glad you thought it was a phenomenal request ❤️
Blown away with the bass :)
Me, too… Curt Smith plays beautifully…!
Brilliant band. Not a bad song from 1982/3 when I first heard them to their 2022 album. Saw them live too ❤
❤️ I’m glad it moved you, Lee. Thank you!
Beautiful track.

Superb track, better with vocals though. Their new album, The Tipping Point well worth checking out.
TFF will always be in my list of Top 10 greatest bands of all time. 💯 This album is such a masterpiece. Oleta Adams was only on this one album, but her voice and piano just take the band to the next level! Elemental and Big Chair are also phenomenal albums!😍
Phil Collins from Genesis? Hadn’t a clue. :-)
Where's the vocals?? You have to hear it again with the vocals!!!✌️💞
This specific video was requested so I did the instrumental one. I will still check out the original because this was awesome in every sense of the word
@@L33Reacts oh ok I see lol...have you stopped doing SRV Sunday?
Great tune.. they also did shout which was covered by disturb

Great reaction, Lee!
Love that song, first time I've heard the instrument version. Hope your tooth get better, I've been there with the tooth pain and it's never fun.

better with words
Nah… you need the vocals to enjoy!
How is this possible without Oleta?
I mean you just listened to it 😂 it’s amazing. No vocals needed.
Great song but I prefer to hear it with the vocals.

That song is like a tribute to the Beatles. It’s love for them and their influence.
Roland writes music in his own way many ways.

??? Wut ??? It’s still going to be good because I trust my patrons. Lol
@@L33Reacts but not as good because ive heard both versions mr thin skin
