- In part two, we take our Vanagon to Port Alice where we find an epic camp site, encounter a bear, drive through some out of this world scenery before jumping on the 10 hour ferry north to Bella Coola.

Yeah part three has some pretty epic views as well. I’ve never seen a bear out there. Lucky!

Now that waterfall campsite was just awesome, I'd hate to leave that place.... You guys had an fantastic trip.......waiting for the next episode.......
It was pretty amazing. If it would have been a bit warmer, the pool would have been great to relax in. Of course it was unseasonably cold while we were there 😂

The downside to camping next to a waterfall, is it's damp. But I'd probably camp there lol!
It was damp everywhere there due to the rains but yeah I could see it always being a bit damp due to spray. It was a great spot for sure.

What a great adventure! Did you guys manage to get to Tallheo hotsprings near Bella Coola? It's an epic spot and well worth a visit!
Thanks Glenn. The hot springs were on our list but with the rain and our schedule, we couldn't make it work. We were a bit bummed but gives us a reason to come back!

The local who told us about the bears by the river in Bella Coola was down fishing for trout I think.

Looks like a great time! I've been wanting to drive my 1980 aircooled westy to Bella Coola (from Vancouver), now thinking that ferry trip may be great one way :) If you drove back, hope you checked out Farwell Canyon!
I am embarrassed to say that we did not visit Farwell Canyon and it was on the top of our list. Part three shows where we ended up but I do regret not getting out there. But it is not that far of a drive from our house and we plan on getting out to it! Thanks for watching!

Whats the name of the falls and the road to get there at port alice?
I do not know the name of the falls but they are on the only road heading south out of Port Alice.

There is nothing that you showed about Port Alice except a camping space nearby? How long was the drive from the main highway on Vancouver island to Port Alice? What month did you travel for the weather?
This wasn't a video about Port Alice, it was just one of the places we went to on our trip up to the ferry. There really isn't much more in town than we showed, a small market and some houses really. The drive is not long and you can use Google maps to see what it might take you to get there. We didn't factor weather into our travel plans, it was just when we could get up there. I believe we went in July.

Fun fact: Bella Coola is also the same place where Bruce Banner stayed at at the end of The Incredible Hulk.
I saw that when I was researching Bella Coola! He was there because the natives were the Nuhalk peoples (new Hulk).
