concise clear but what happens with the new CVS equipment? Some maps have been revised and while the bushes appear to be opaque they aren't. I discovered reducing he detail level gives a more accurate display of the bushes real camo.
My goal was to keep the tip video as short as possible, the CVS will only come into play at tier 8, and likely only on light tanks. You might see it on mediums at tier 9 and 10 however only on tanks that already have extremely good view range. So far I haven't had too many issues with CVS equipped tanks, and even if they are out there, you will still gain the first shot advantage with this technique. From what I've seen so far, CVS is not reductive to camo value, but multiplicative, making it far more balanced. Instead of spotting a tank at 15 meters behind dense foliage, you'll actually spot them more like 100 meters away. I intend to do an in depth video on vision, and will likely spend some time explaining CVS. If you have an instance of opaque bushes not giving you camo bonus, please tell me so I can test in game. So far I haven't come across any 'fake' bushes yet.
@@13Disciple One thing I noticed when using CVS on lights and mediums is that sometimes when someone is spotted behind a bush and they stop moving, they will disappear after 2-3 seconds. This I would assume to be the time it takes for their moving camo to become stationary camo on their tank. Since I've not seen anyone become instantly invisible after they stop moving I would assume that the CVS movement bonus stays in effect for the same period of time. This would have implications for double bushing as someone who moves back to double bush and then fires before the CVS movement bonus drops may be more likely to give their position away.
This is a great simple easy to understand video. Now I have a chance against hiding T-67s Mind you they probably have super trained crews and lots of experience. I love the kv1 for learning to make better use of my amour, Its just a pity those silly big Japanese heavy tanks muck me up a bit like the Io-exp. Even though I have a kv1 I can go hull down *make myself a much smaller target* I have been having much better matches by doing this when I can. Also I am getting much better at looking at my mini map during the match. Has helped my catch sneaky light tanks trying to sneak up behind. :) I am still clueless at times where to go on some maps,. Maybe a city fighting guide might be good. How to go around a sharp corner and do better.
Good job as always but to be exhaustive you could have added the case where despite the opacity of the bushes one can be detected after a shot. I'm not talking about the mechanics of automatic detection in a 50-meter perimeter here, but the one related to the ability/skill of a crew in a given type of tank (especially light ones with some specific equipments) to detect from a certain distance a shot through an opaque bush, or even without shooting btw. Not so obvious mechanic in medium/short range. Cheers from France 🇫🇷
The spot range of a vehicle is determined by the spotters view range, and the hiding tank's camo value. Environmental camo adds to this vehicles base camo rating. spotRange = effViewRange - (effViewRange - 50) * camoValue Tanks with extremely high effective view range will cut through camo, but it will still reduce the spotting range considerably.
Discovered your videos yesterday when i was searching for mods info - now watching lots of them! Really great and very informative. Could you do one on different types of ammo and when to use? @@13Disciple thanks! Keep up the good work! Like your usual way, in a very kind manner please...
@@13Disciple The conclusion from Overlord_Prime in his "Deep Dive into Equipment 2.0" document was that CVS is a straight upgrade to optics if you already hit 445m without it (such as on tier 10s with 400+ base running food with bia and view range skills). The times where you need to spot a stationary target without bushes at close to maximum range are far fewer than spotting a moving or bushed up target where the CVS always wins.
So is there anyway to tell broken bushes, like on Fisherman's Bay centre of the map that don't work properly or why on Prok the hill bushes from north spawn don't always seem to keep their camo value after firing (pre CVS and in lower tiers) even though they're opaque.
If you can describe exactly which bushes you believe to be faulty I can investigate them. But from what I've seen, there aren't bushes that don't provide any camo value. Most will provide 25% or 50%, it's just the distance is so close that you get spotted through them anyway.
@@13Disciple Hi. Prok bushes: Just happened to watch a replay of this last night but it's happened to me many times. Yea, I actually just finished a video collaboration with World of Tanks NA team -> ua-cam.com/video/gSMQK5wODu0/v-deo.html Skills/Perks require exponentially more EXP as your increase their skill level. I have a couple graphs you can look at here: www.13disciple.stream/crew-training.html www.13disciple.stream/0-skill-crews.html Since crew experience is based on vehicle experience, you will technically earn more experience at higher tiers. It does take forever to get crew skills. If you retrain your crew using all gold from Tier1 to Tier10 you'd (meaning all vehicle exp also got applied to every crew member) then you'd have a 2.5 skill crew. The reason why some in game pings take longer is because Wargaming has implemented a ping spam prevention. You can immediately ping a couple times, but once you've reached the ping spam limited a cooldown is then applied and you won't be able to ping again for a few seconds. There were a lot of changes to the new communication system and it will take a bit of time for players to get used to it - me included.
