Timmons is always a pleasure to hear ! And Eric with those fast hammer on pull offs all over the neck. I now know where Joe bonamassa gets those fast runs from. It would be hard to say Eric got it from Joe considering how much longer Eric’s been at it.
Yeah, Joe has said many times that he copied his way of playing fast descending runs from Eric, calls it "Eric Johnson Mode" though of course they sound vastly different from each other
@@eblue9620 nice. Yeah I never knew that. I was never huge into Eric, but nonetheless he is a beast !!! But yeah I thought that sounded very very similar to Joe B Now I am gonna have to study some Eric techniques and licks. I absolutely love the tone and sound
@J-Ferrell Also, Eric Gales does that thing a bit, but yeah, when somebody is great we all benefit from absorbing a bit of it into our own playing. There are a ton of good videos on UA-cam explaining how to do the descending pentatonic groups of 5 thing. If you want to do a deep dive though consider investing in the Troy Grady "Eric Johnson" video. I did, powerful.
Thank you for sharing this is exciting line up🎉
