    I was a tour guide back in the seventies. I took my groups from England to Greece. I made sure each of my little charges had all of their paperwork in order, plenty of sunscreen, appropriate clothing, shoes, Pepto Bysmol,etc. They knew all of the laws. Customs was much, much more lenient back then.I really mother henned them, and they had a wonderful time. I took them to all of the cool places that the locals used, and it was a great, great job.

      Very strict southern border here in the US and you have no idea what you are talking about. They check people's cell phones, bags and send them back. You need to do some research before posting. Also, Australia has only water border as it's an island and the US has both land and water borders which makes it much harder to control. So comparing these two countries isn't correct

      Airport customs/immigration is much different from a land border. Australia is surrounded by water making it much more difficult for illegal immigration (though not impossible). Lump summing all borders as the same doesn't make sense.

    How is a bag sealed in Israel in any way relevant to a standard Australian Customs review and assessment? Clearly, this noisy, entitled "victim" fool doesn't have a clue about Australian law or his obligations to comply with it whilst he is in Australian territory.

    After watching many hours of this show, I wonder how many smugglers watch for tips on how to get caught, so they won't.

      What tips have you picked up?

    • @argentum530
      @argentum530 19 днів тому

      @@BorderSecurityOfficial 1st: don't bring illegal s**t, but if you do invent a new paradigm of concealment. 2nd: be a master of self control, and don't lie on the forms! 3: bring a burner phone with just enough detail to support your visa reasons. (I ain't traveling with a $1000 USD phone) Have contacts that can support your story when the customs people call for confirmation of details. 4: arrive in a harbor by boat... (can you do an episode on that route of entry?) Conclusion, this is a thought exercise. I am unable to travel outside the US due to age, illness, and economic class, but if I could I would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.

      I think this was filmed in around 2008 too. But yep! I don't partake but have heard street value in Aus in $350 per 1 gram. About x3 times as much as the U.K. Most expensive place in the world cause of the difficulties in getting it to Aus shores.

    Why aren’t they allowed to have sealed and commercially prepared mayonnaise on the oil rig? That makes no sense to me. I understand the risk that bird products poses, but commercially prepared Hellmann’s mayonnaise seems like it wouldn’t carry that risk.

    Australian leaders, their staff, and other officers seem completely ineffective. I have contacted the Home Department multiple times, sending emails and calling their helpline to report immigration and fake sponsorship frauds carried out by Australian citizens of Indian origin. However, they never responded to my efforts, which is extremely disappointing.
