Hey everyone I'm finally back with a new drum cover. I have to say I'm ultra excited about this one for many reasons. First of all because of the song itself. The Gift of Guilt is an absolutely wonderful song from one of the greatest album of all time in my opinion. The drums alway felt like an unreachable challenge. The drum fills by Mario Duplantier on this one are crazy. Took quite a lot of practice to get there but very happy with how it turned out.
Second of all I changed completely the look and sound of this video. I wanted to do this for a long time but felt quite shy to do it. I started playing around with the lights I had and found this disposition way better. It's a bit less harsh than before, a bit easier on the eyes I would say.
Also I started doing the mixing from scratch and got a lot of help from my friend and bandmate Mortimer Baud. He knows way more about mixing than I do so I'm hoping to learn from him as much as possible and constantly improve the sound of my videos ! Be sure to check out our band Kassogtha linked below. My dude! Look at that smile at 2:55 as he knows that most drummers couldn't play that like he can. I just started playing this one finally and cant wait to try and actually kill that part. Even that intro fill is challenging to get down, but so badass. I get to meet them backstage this year and I can't wait! Also get to see that huge tour Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, and Animals as Leaders at the Fox in Atlanta 1st row balcony. Fuck yeah!!! I've become a huge fan of Devin over the past few months and never realized how amazing he actually is. All 3 of them are absolutely epic.

I swear there is a tiny 32nd beat fill in between 2:41 - 2:42 following the 32nd beat fill at 2:38. The way it fits in and just rolls off is so amazing. Might buy a drumkit cos of you man!

I’ve never wanted to learn to drum so badly in my life, I know it would be years upon years upon years to reach the skill to play songs by bands like Gojira, but seeing you beat the absolute fuck out of those drums looks so relieving in a sense.
