It's about surviving domestic abuse. It's suggested only Minnie survived the guy, and maybe even died when she took him out. The others are all trapped in their place of death , until Minnie frees them when he died. "Rise above injury" Only I-DLE.
ohh i get it, so its the same guy but they all dated him at different times, after each died he got with the next. Makes sense now, I think minnie did survive and was walking out with their ghost behind her.
oh and I just realized thats why the ring he gave shuhua was also in minnies box with the gun because he gave it to her too

You were right, the mv was about an abusive relationship, some says that miyeon, yuqi, shuhua and soyeon got killed by that guy, Minnie was about to get married but she found out the guy's secret, she got scared (symbolizing the reaction when she saw blood on her bouquet and hands) because she's not aware of how abusive the guy was and also on the elevator scene it flashbacks from where she first saw that guy, because its not the same guy she loved. And she took revenge for everything that he did. (Miyeon was looking at a jar of water, yuqi was holding a flower, soyeon was leaning to the wall with flowers where she got abused, and lots of flowers at shuhua's car, symbolizing that they got the justice they deserved)
I think Minnie got abused too by the guy but she got out where the others did not
@@mistybrehmer9551 i dont think so, on minnie's wedding scene, there's blood on her hands and got scared of it (maybe she learned something about the guy's past), because she's not aware of how abusive the guy was and also on the elevator scene it flashbacks from where she first saw that guy, because its not the same guy she loved.
Long videos are fine with me! Just maybe not good for the algorithm, maybe. I think it prefers when people watch all of the way to the end. For "I want that", I think that the other girls besides Minnie are already dead and only with her in spirit. Miyeon in particular looked like she was drowned in that swimming pool, then her sad spirit sits at the edge applying lipstick and trying to compose herself. Shuhua spends the whole video sitting in the rain in that car where she was fighting with the dude until after he is killed. Then the sun shines and the car is filled with flowers. Minnie's duffle bag bomb seems to have killed everyone in the room... maybe even Minnie... but not until after she exacts her revenge on the abuser. Then dead Minnie walks out in "girl boss" mode with the others. The serine boat scene where everything is white and all of the girls are wearing white dresses could be heaven, or purgatory, since there is the red sock from his blood that she stepped in.

Surprisingly with this type of content since most of our audience is 17 to 40 year olds so it seems like people enjoy the long videos so I would love to make more for you all because it's nice being able to connect with all this awesome music. I also love your theory! (G)I-DLE has my favorite concepts of all time for music videos.
the meaning is that all the girls r dead expect minnie, so she killed the guy to get revenge for all the firls he killed, he drowned miyeon, strangled soyeon..... and minnie got revenge of him and killed herself at the end so she can be with the girls in another universe

I think they are 5 personalities share the same body.
1. Shuhua got the rings, but Minnie was the bride;
2. The flower was on Minnie’s hand, Shuhuas car, and Miyeon;
3. Before Minnie went to the office, Miyeon was making up.
4. They held the gun and did the aim action at the same time.
Finally, the “Minnie” personality pull the trigger, that why “Soyoen” personality had the reaction at the beginning.
That's a good theory!! That theory reminds me of "I Do" where they all change.

I will be honest this is my favourite album of this year and I want that is absolute banger. The girls never disappoint. If i would rank the songs:

You are the real bias Soyeon 😂😂😂 you can see her in dance break, another'd just seen only Yuqi. 😅😅
It's just her dream after read the red book 'c'est la vie'. This vedio show about her in different situation in violence to one women ' Minnie' ( you can see they ware the white outfit in intro and outro and the red book too) and she try to escape or solve the circumstances in many way in her dream. The head shot is not real . Just erase him in her mind.
But it's serious scene too if someone especially children see and can't get this and try to copy because of in my city there is 14 year old boy did shothead to people in shopping centre that 2 deads and 5 serious injured person.
Their acting is really good
Miyeon and yuqi really stood out in this english album.

Honestly, my favorite song is “I DO”, that vibe of the 80's and Strangerthings makes me very nostalgic (I love E.T, StrangerThings & Super8). It reminds me a lot of these movies that I love so much.
But “Tall Trees” is the icing on the cake.
I have followed GIDLE since their debut and it is so exciting to see them adapt to this genre, for more songs like “I DO” & “Tall Trees”.🎉❤

What a Music Video ! What an Album !
Hi, I loved your video! And how you analyze each scene. You even explained how the scene works, in the POV of the camera man. I truly agree with the SA topic (if it wasn't obv enough). This is how (G)I-DLE roll, they address serious and realistic topics that ACTUALLY happen in this world. And seems like not many are brave and bold enough to represent it in a more theatrical way.

Just a theory of mine (you don't need to read or agree to it):-
Miyeon, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua were victims of SA and they committed s-word.
Miyeon by drowning (pool scene), Yuqi by arson (final moments in the MV), Shuhua bcs of a car accident that she caused herself, and Soyeon probably s herself in the head.
Minnie woke up to realization and survived the toxic relationship, and in turn avenged the girls (victims).
In the final moments of the MV, there were flashing scenes of the girls, it didn't include Minnie until the moment she pulled the trigger. As if she us doing this to lay the girls' souls to rest.
I don't think Minnie represented the other girls, but they are actually their own characters in thia MV.

This is also an interesting theory. I really love how (G)I-DLE always has to make us think to gather the concepts of the video and most of the time they are open for interpretation so reading all the theories is fun 🙂❤️
That also makes a lot of sense with the flashing scenes of the girls symbolizing that Minnie avenged them. Man I just love idle 🥺
They nailed the concept every single time.
It may be based on the “i do” concept that everyone is actually the same person, with Minnie as the main personality. And they are facing different stages in a relationship, for instance Shuhua is during the proposal. Minnie actually breaks another four personalities to cope with domestic violence. So at last she is alone in the boat after killing the man that makes her suffered with other personalities disappearing finally
It's not. It's that they all are the girlfriends of the guy. He killed all of them. Choked Soyeon, pushed Yuqi down the stair. Drown Miyeon, Shuhua died in the car. He then massacred his own wedding with Minnie but she survived so she came back Kill Bill style and shot him.

Agree with @gordonh0903. The violence and abuse in the relationship caused multiple personalities to cope, with Minnie being the original but veering in and out of reality. Yuqi’s was able to walk away…Miyeon tried to drown herself…Shuhua was a caged bird. Minnie offs the guy, escapes on a boat, finds peace, and loses the other personalities which are no longer needed.
Loved your reaction to I Want That, especially Miyeon's gorgeous lower register, and Minnie's crazy high note at the bridge. And the MV is so powerful 😊.

The man killed all the of the girls when he was in the relationship with them. Choked Soyeon, pushed Yuqi down the stair, drown Miyeon, killed Shuhua in the car. He killed everyone in his own wedding and Minnie but she survived. She then came back and finish him. At the end all the girls and smiling because they're in peace.

this clip is about a relationship abusev, all the girls are one Minnie personality, it shows how her Minnie personality reacts to the abuser and his attitude towards him at different times in their relationship.
