We bought this system at the Tampa RV show in 2022 and have been using it full-time ever since. We consistently get between 4000 and 4500 gallons out of it. We drink from it. You can do your own math on how much plastic we have avoided. And the wife is happy too when washing her hair. What more do you want. We were able to keep it in the water bay. It still looks like new.
Appreciate the fact that in your reviews you talk about the things you don’t like. I don’t know if the product manufacturer likes that, but it’s appreciated by your viewers I’m sure.
First, great video as always Ross! I started with BT’s R3 unit 2 years ago adding the 90 degree fitting, pressure regulator, and several disconnects. Couldn’t be more happy and highly recommend their products. You are right that the fittings and devices feel heavy and the quality is evident. I’ve stayed in several RV parks where fellow campers complained of odors in the water while I had none. I’m ordering the stainless hoses and softener to finish out my system to have all stainless BT components! BTW…. Michigan based company and I believe Veteran owned.
We've been using the basic Camco blue filters for nearly 2 years while full-timing and have never gotten sick... cheap, easy and available at Walmart works for me...
I have used this system for the last two years and it has performed well. Water tastes better and combined with the softener our water quality has improved immensely. My only beef is they have chosen to no longer ship to Canada so getting replacement filters can be problematic. While it’s a great system I would look for something more Canadian friendly if I were shopping today.
Check their website under Shipping Policy as things may have changed. They do sell to Canada using a “special order”. There seems to be a buyer paid tariff/tax that has to be paid.
im not up to speed on the exact details, but theres a lot of companies choosing to not ship to Canada, or if they are, they are bumping the prices to cover the import tarriffs. its a complicated issue that i wont claim to know all the details, but i do know that it is not an import friendly country...
Wowser. That looks really well built, and love the stainless steel quick connects. As our rig is perma-parked in a warmer climate until April, we really were talking about if we should have a better filtering system before we traveled last month. The water there isn't great. Off to get the wife to see if she'll agree...
Great video. I would have liked a bit more tech info though. But that's a very difficult balance. Looks to be a great system. We're planning on wintering in AZ next year and are looking for a good system. Price is my biggest issue with this one, but you generally get what you pay for. Surprisingly replacement cartridges are very reasonably priced.
I debated on how much detail I wanted to get into, but you are correct, balancing a lot of info gets a lot of people to click off. I wanted to point out the quality of the system and let RVers decide for themself. I rarely talk about price on this channel because its very subjective. Regardless, I think its safe to say this is definitely an investment in the RV life, regardless of your bank account. Thanks for watching and commenting!
i havent had that issue but im carefully rolling and unraveling my hoses each time. ill have to test them out once they stretch a little and will talk about that in the 1 year review.

Great video as always! Ordered mine yesterday - do you have a pic or video on how you hook up the the spigot with all of the valves and pressure regulator? What order to you put the items?
order: splitter, regulator, hose, filters, hose, softener, hose, flow meter, 90. any other questions?
Good stuff Ross, I think I’m ordering tonight. Any thoughts on the softener and not using it? Not sure I want that but I do want the rest of the system.
theres maintenance on the softener, recharging, etc... it may not be for everyone, especially in areas where the water is not hard.
How good are the water lines in the RVs though for safe clean drinking? I know to sanitize every so often but do you have any testing on the water quality(microbes in the water) after?
there are different grades of pex... as long as an RV manufacturer is using a drinking water safe pex, i would not foresee any issues with chemical leach. its a great question though. BT has done testing on the water quality post filter usage, i think you can find it on the site. I know they do pretty extensive testing over time as well... in fact, in the past they discovered that 2 of the filter orders should be switched based on testing results using different orders, and therefore changed their entire product line to put the .2 micron filter in the middle.
@ thanks for the reply 🙂
Does this system or their other rv systems reduce or remove higher saline or salt water? The only systems that I find that do are full reverse osmosis systems. Thanks for the video.
RO is something I’ve only starting digging into… I’ll have to circle back on that one.
Would this system be ok for people who only take about 4-5 small trips per season? We have been just using a single filter and making sure to dry it out between trips.
definitely, same deal, the filters should be removed to dry between trips longer than a week a part. because of the quick connects, its a very quick install, and the water quality is great! you can even go with the bundle that does not include the softener if you want. 💦 Water Filtration Systems by Blu Technology *7% OFF EVERYTHING* (Use code RVTIPS at checkout) goblutech.com/xxnnkdun

Our neighbor here at the campground did just that, so we did a comparison yesterday. Now, his contraption works, but side by side, he preferred the water from our Blu Tech system. It tastes better and looks clearer compared to his. He did spend about $250 for his system, which is all plastic. For $150, you get a system far superior in material and quality at half the size. I was able to fit ours in the wet bay. The price for replacement filters is about the same. And my neighbor's nose and taste buds clearly picked Blu Tech as the winner. Not that it is really representative lol.
thanks for sharing more of your experiences Max, its appreciated.
I don't doubt the quality of the product, but holy mackerel! $80 for just the pressure regulator and another $80 for the splitter. I think many folks won't be able to justify the cost of a system like this. I'll stick with my Brita.
