The Highest award you can receive. SEMPER FI Kyle you are a true hero . War is hell. There is no greater service to your country than to do what you did Kyle . God bless you always Marine . My brother always .
I sure hope he was older than 24yr because the vp said 18yr to 24yr were stupid. If this young man was in that age group that's the ones I would want fighting for AMERICA 🇺🇸
He made a conscious decision to sacrifice his own life to save his fellow marine. You can’t get any more courageous than that. Big salute from an old peacetime army grunt.
I am a veteran. I understand his selfless act of courage for his fellow marine. He is a shinning example of what we should all be as Americans. As John F. Kennedy said " Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country" He did just that.
No matter what branch of the Military we have served, we are extremely proud of this Marine for his selfless gift of saving the life of a fellow marine. All branches vow to never leave a man behind, Kyle defines that! Congratulations Kyle!!
At 1:00 the female Marine on left side of the screen, the only one standing directely at attention position. That's how we show respect in the military, without orders given, by your self, deep and profound willness to pay tribute. Thank you Marine for beeing this few, proud, to show that respect to this Hero.
It makes me to getting in happy tears every time that I watch and seeing how much our military heroes who are so bravery to serving our country. We cannot ever thank you enough for all our military heroes who serving in our country…I love all our military heroes!! Thank you for all their service!!!May God bless to all our military heroes be safe and healthy!!! ❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💓💓💓💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️💪💪💪💯💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👏👏
His mother and his father ,,, the pride,,, the emotions,,, the Love they certanly must be feeling,,, CPL KYLE CARPENTER ,,, may Goodness , and Mercy allways follow you !!!
As I sit here wondering how 24 people could possibly give a thumbs down to this very deserving honor, I have to remember there are those that can’t see the forest for the trees. It is so sad when I see this occur, it speaks of ver shameful individuals that have trouble showing compassion for their fellow man!
I watched every video I can find regarding this Marine. I’ve cried during each one also. The courage this mans shows is what Marines are all about. “Semper Fedelis”
25:21 Maybe now some tall and 'tough' guys have finally realized that being short does not mean having a lack of balls or durability. My comrades at the German army had to learn it, too. ;-) Greetings from a 5'6" German former 'PFC' (OR-3). An awesome Marine you got over there!
If there is one Marine I'd love to meet it would definitely be Cpl Carpenter. All of our personnel who serve are outstanding but the individuals who receive the Medal of Honor are absolutely exceptional!
18:47 that is amazing, really it is. He never intended to be an American hero and bear the responsibility/burden of being a medal of Honor recipient. He just wanted to go to college and secure a decent life for himself. Very very humble. He and Edward Byers are my two favorite MOH heros
This man is a true hero that todays kids need to know about. John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Praise God and it is only by God’s grace that he survived this. God bless and keep you safe all the days of your life Kyle.
In Finland we have this saying that "kaveria ei jätetä" means "don't ever leave Your buddy" That's in finnish army. That is what You exactly did Kyle. You are a Hero👍
I would suggest a constitutional amendment that would exempt all who earned the MOH from paying any taxes ever, that would grant all MOH recipients a second vote in all elections and automatically promote them two grades of rank and grant them the option of immediate retirement with full pay as though they had been in at least 20 years.
@@ThePreparedSailor True heroes stand for something greater than themselves. In this case it was protecting the life of a fellow soldier. Though I would go as far as to say the majority of the United States Military are not heroes, in fact, they are tragic figures. To enlist in the United States Armed Forces now is to enlist under a flag which bears not 50 stars but one. Not 13 stripes but two.
When the moment of his test came Kyle was not found wanting! He didn't do it for the glory but for the privilege of protecting his brother whom I suspect if he had been in the right position would have done the same selfless act!
Kyle is a humble, courageous and a great MoH role model. Too bad Amos was involved in the ceremony. No integrity, lied about attending TBS and swayed many investigations with complete disregard to the individual Marines.
Can someone aware me why the other marine doesnt get as much love? I feel bad for the other wounded marine who doesnt get any attention. He deserves recognition.

Marines run in where all others fear to tread. Never has a uniform been more beautifully worn nor medals so brilliantly shone.

I'll never forget this experience, watching this man. Outstanding. - Scott BASTOW (Australian)

From a retired Army officer to this hero - Well done Marine!
Thank you for serving our country🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What an honour to this Marine and the reward from the country. The USA knows how to honour it's own. God bless you.
I handed his book to my Dad, he was a PT Boat captain in Vietnam- it brought tears to his eyes

This young man needs more!
I hope I get to meet this young man one day. I hope he keeps giving speeches to younger people. So they learn. The right way. The hard path.
Amazing, there are so many good people behind the recovery of Kyle. I'm so proud of you all. You truly are the next great generation :)
Sergeant Major has a great radio voice!
I just can't breathe! To your family I love you!

He also didn’t attend the basic school. I thought mundy was bad but amos is in his own class.
I need to support you!
I certainly appreciate the recognition of this great hero. My only wish would be that we do not have to recognize any other in this way.

Is that a MGySgt that appears to never have deployed?
Does anyone know how old he is, I have a reason for asking. I was wondering if he was 24yr.

Yep, and that Master Gunnery Sgt. also wears no combat action ribbon. So, yeah, he's gotta be some kinda public affairs specialist.
