I have had this ruler I guess since it first came out, but hadn't used it in years! Purchased it at the Sewing Expo held in Virginia at the time. Now that you re-introduced it to me for our HV Cosmos sewing class I am excited that I got to use it again!! I am finishing up with the binding today and can't wait to share the finished project! Thank you Sara at Heirloom Creatiions!!!

Thank you for this excellent tutorial. This method of adding circles is quicker and easier than the method I have used in the past.

Hi Lucinda, The ruler tells you to cut the circle 1" bigger than the frame opening. Have fun! ~Sara~

I have the Large Cut Around ruler and would greatly appreciate a tutorial on how to use it. I did try to cut a 24 inch circle but I got an oval circle.

hi, heirloomcreations, i have the 19-30" cut around circle ruler, i fold my fabric like u do on the 19 and cut another fabric on the 20, but they both come out looking like football shapes, can u tell me wat i am doing wrong?, which is a nince shape for another project, but i want the circle shape. I will use my football shape on towels for a border look, bless u and keep us the good work.

What about half circles? And quarter circles, as in a Drunkards Pathway etc?

How would I insert a slice... so you have 3 different colors?

Why not just use fusible material on the circle instead of setting it into another circle? Are there any reasons other than bulk?

I agree--dosen't it seen like extra work?

I had an "ah ha" moment the other day thinking about this ruler. How about a "crop circles" quilt? Way beyond my capablities as I'm a new quilter, but the possibilities are endless. Look for crop circle images on google and see what comes up.
