Even an novice quilter - me - managed to complete this lovely table runner. Boy the compliments I have received has been incredible - could have sold this runner several times over. :-) Thank you for the visual instructions, although it is easy to follow from the written instructions. Have a go people it is fantastic.
I made this table runner in 8 different red/white fabrics. It was a challenge for our quilt show featuring red and white quilts! I used the 10 degree ruler and it was so easy to make. I named it Red, Hot and Spicy Spiral Table Runner, and was voted best of show!
well, I must say Sarah, I sew enjoy all your videos on the ruler of the month last year and the new cutie purse patterns and kits. BUT I say girl y'all got a lot going on here. I love the bargello look of this spiral top, I think the fabric choices of the black and white are striking as well as the other samples you show. I'm thinking of jumping in and trying my hand at this, as soon as i figure out ow to move my cutting table out to the center. a must for proper cutting in this case. TY again
I started this today and finished the piecing. Now to press and add batting and backing. Thanks to my granddaughter, Katie, for helping with the measuring and cutting. Once cut, it was a "piece of cake".
Great Video. I made one once on my own trying to follow the directions on the pattern but some how made a mistake. It came out OK, but your video will help me make another one. The organization of fabric in your video helped a lot. Thanks.
I just watched your video on Spicy Spiral. Do you just sew 8 fat quarters together? I'm interested in the other project you showed that you said it will be available in another video. Is that video available yet? I have the 9-degree ruler and started a project in a class that is very similar to the other project you showed. Help!!!
Hi Martha, You will be able to find all the details in the pattern. We are not able to show every single step in the videos otherwise people would not purchase the pattern. ~Sara~
hello I would like to make a magnificent spicy spiral centerpiece. Can you tell me if there are patterns with the explanations or tell me the height and width measurements of each strip of fabric and the height of the triangles cut to make this work. Do you have rules and catalogs with different models for sale. Thank you for your answer, I admire your work
Check out our video called "Binding a Quilt with the Angle Finder Ruler". This will help with odd angles on any quilt. (Sorry, I can not provide a link, TubeYou does not let us). ~Sara~

I made my Christmas tree skirt using this book 25+ years ago, still using it. It was a fun project.
this is absolutely amazing! I'm just learning to sew, but I'll be back for this.
