I bought these mainly because I wanted a metal range bucket. I didn't think the practice balls would be worth a damn. Boy I was wrong. Absolutely a great investment all the way around.
Did you ever notice the guys who demonstrate these various types of practice balls are not good golfers. They don't compress the ball so the results are misleading.
there seems to be many of the foam dimpled golf balls on sale at Amazon....is there much difference in foam density or quality or are they all pretty much the same.... thanks
I realize your question was asked 3 years ago but ill answer anyways for future viewers. No they will not damage your fence. Ive used these indoor and outdoor and can confirm that they wont do damage to drywall or glass either. (PSA) If you plan to use these indoors, buy some type of golf hitting mat and make sure you have high enough ceilings to not damage your home or clubs.
You can find a similar version on Amazon here: amzn.to/2wEcWpG

Totally helpful I had no idea what the heck they were... Target carries Callaway and all but I didn't know what foam meant exactly lol much thanks

It's almost as if they are practicing with practice balls, trying to get better.. Who woulda thought
How far do they go with a pitching wedge?
Now I need to make a PVC picker-upper for these.

Most are the same I would check the reviews.
I have a black powder mortar that launches golf balls, I wonder if these will go farther than the normal heavier balls I'm using now?
I doubt it
A cannon, for golf balls?!? I love that idea
So Max distance, regardless of club (I.e. driver, 5 iron or PW ) , is 50 yards or so?
i have these and yes. not sure why i think it is because you can only compress foam so much
About how far do they fly compared to a normal ball? 1/4 the distance? 1/2 the distance?
I would say they go about half as far when I use a wedge.
Are these hard enough to do damage if I hit them into my PVC fence?

How much do these foam balls compress between the fingers? I'm trying to make some comparisons via only video.
A lot
I thought a regular golf ball is much bouncier.
If I hit my pitching wedge 110 yards curious to know how far these will go. Any thoughts?
Just from my experience it goes about half as far.
Max distance is about 40 -50 yds
Cayman balls were great , I don't think they make them anymore
