My mom would tell me around the time I got off the bus which is a 20 minute walk my dog would go sit by the window and look out waiting for me even on the that school ended earlier than it usually does. I also remember on my first day of freshman year at a new hs I went on the wrong bus and it passed by my house and I saw my mom and dog on the porch and when he saw the door to the bus infront of the one I was on open I saw him get happy and wag his tail and put his ears up but how unfortunate that I got on the wrong bus cause the freaking bus driver literally said he did stop at the adress I gave him and idk why I have to go on a bus that drops me off 20 minutes away when there’s literally one that stops across the street from my house

I watched a program once that hypothesized then proved that it is a smell thing. Our scents slowly dissipate and when they get to a specific faint level our dogs know we'll soon be home. Personally, I like to think my dog can tell time!

My dog starts getting hyper and energetic when she knows we're about to leave.... She start barking and running around the house like an hour before we even leave... and she doesn't even do this on other days. It's literally ONLY on Tuesdays Fridays and Saturdays.

+Danielle Wilson Thank you. I try to use good grammar. I live in the deep,
south where you hear things pronounced differently then when I lived in Oregon, or even Orlando Florida.. I hear " pet that doggy" which to me means to stroke the dog affectionately. Petting or give him lots of pets, vs. pats. My university English professor said this pronouncing Praline: whether you pronounce it Pray-line or praw-line, both are acceptable. Praline is a popular candy down South. I noticed non southerners pronounced it Pray-line, so I asked which was correct & he said both. I have no problem with saying "give him some loving pats," except my brain goes to : when you stroke a dog you pet it or give it lots of pets. I am sure both are acceptable but I have no problem with someone correcting me. I have been really sick too, so I often write in excruciating pain trying to distract from my pain. As a Cajun, if I spoke in the in the French patois I spoke as a child, it could get really confusing,

When you are sick your dog knows. Dogs can feel earthquakes before we do, so i imagine they can hear or sense the babies heartbeat. I used to have bad anxiety and when I would have a fit, my dog would wine and rub up against my legs until I pet him. Or when I was sick laying on the bathroom floor one night(flu bug), my dog came in and when i woke up he was sleeping back on back with me. He never goes in the bathroom. Ever, nevermind sleeping in there. Dogs are amazing!!

When we found out our last dog Matilda (who we'd had from when I was 2) had bowel cancer we were absolutely devastated. Mum went into the bathroom and cried her eyes out. Matilda was normally very independent. But when she heard Mum crying she went and stood outside the bathroom door with the most worried look on her little face. I think she even tried to open the door to get in. When Mum finally came out she was all over Mum trying to cheer her up. I remember Mum laughing saying, "You're here comforting me and you're the one I'm crying about!" She passed away about a year later... but you never forget your pets. I was looking at old photos the other day and found an old video of her. Made me remember so many things we did together and made me miss her so darn much.

Denise Byrd my mom put a pan of eggs in water on the stove and turned the burner on and forgot ALL about it and left the house for a few hours and my dog was in the house by himself. when my mom got back my dog was SO scared and barking up a storm. The water had boiled dry and the eggs were shooting out of the pan and going every which way. He didn't know what was happening and he didn't know if he was going to be alright or if anyone was gonna be able to save him or if he was gonna make it out alive. He was TOTALLY scared. As soon as my mom opened the front door he ran out, still barking up a storm. He was fine except for being scared.

Kon eko I think everyone has to pay back to their family in whatever way they are capable of. One I picked two kittens from streets, me and my husband took great care of them, they grew up, and the boy loved us very much, but the girl wanted nothing to do with us, she just came to us when it's the time to eat. Each time we wanted to stroke her head, she would more her head away in a manner that says "I don't want you" and she would often leave to be by herself. It felt like we had a stranger living with us. The boy would bring us lot's of joy. I was broken when he died from a cat disease within 6 hours. The bitch would just walk pass him without any worry (though when she jumped and hurt her leg once, he would care for her and worry). So egoistic she was. I didn't cry when she died from the same disease a few days later. I didn't see her as part of the family because she didn't pay back any bit of love or care. Just a burden that I had cos I picked her as a child.

Brutus and Cruella are used to their new life now and these two '40 mph couch potatoes' absolutely hate it when we want to sit on their sofa.
We have friends that had a Greyhound for a year before they adopted a baby girl, There was concern about how the dog would react BUT let me tell you, if the dog doesn't know someone, that person will not get to the daughter!

A dog's hearing is amazing, probably knew the baby was in the crib but couldn't hear breathing so freaked out. Certain dogs have even been known to sniff cancer. They can literally smell the cancer cells in their owner, pretty sure there's another vid here on YT about a spaniel doing just that.

One night, my dog was acting bizarre. He kept scratching all of the windows, he would go to my room them my families room windows and cry and pound on the them. So my mom went to go check what was wrong with and on her way to the kitchen where the backdoor was, she smelled a strong smell. the stoves gas was left on. If it wasn't for our dog, who knows what could of happened!

dogs are awesome. one night when everyone in my family had already gone to bed my basset hound alerted us that the stove gas was left on with no flame by barking at the stove non stop until I went down there to check it out.

I rescued a chihuahua.. 2 years after my first child was born.. when he was 3 months old my dog started barking and scratching my door like crazy.. I got up and checked on my baby who was laying motionless on his cosleeper bed.. i called his name, nothing.. when I shook him he took a deep breath and kept sleeping... I will for ever be thankful she saved my son... he is 8 years old now. Dogs are amazing!!! I still have the chihuahua.. she is around 17 years old. Love you Roxy!

    "He's paid them back".
Because that dog owed anything to anyone, right? Likely born and taken away from his family, probably ended up with some abusive asshole which lead to him needing to be adopted, likely left with pretty haunting memories that leave him incredibly cautious of people, but sure let's say that he has a dept to pay.
What a stupid choice of words. Either way, nice story.

@GuyThatUhate1. Actually, saying a cat would never do that isn't true. Many cats have saved their owner by warning them for fire f.i. The fact you 'hate' cats (I Always wonder why someone would hate an animal, so stupid) doesn't change that.

    • @shannonreinwand6461
      @shannonreinwand6461 10 років тому +1

S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) There is no definitive cause to it happening... So doctors warn new parents, to put the baby on his/her back, when they are put in their crib. Sometimes however... a baby can bunch a blanket while moving, or just happen to roll... and asphyxiate... or the baby simply "forgets" to breath. This type of thing happens in every human being on Earth, whether you are a baby or not... at some point during your sleep; you stop breathing, for a short period of time. It's a matter of the brain sending signals, to regain normal respiration... Babies are less more likely to succumb to this, because they are not yet fully used to breathing on their own. Happens among boys more than girls...
