I do both wet and dry trim. Wet I bowl trim. It is for general smoke and turns out fine. For house weed it is dry trim. Good manicure, pretty nugs etc. I harvest at milky with 10 to 30 percent amber . Will still have a few clear as you never get all milky. Been growing since the early 80s and have learned and followed all the advancements. The best thing anyone can do is read your plants. They will tell you what they need and when they are ready.

I watch the pistol hair but not for color. I have noticed that as long as she is putting out NEW pistols she's still bulking up .as she nears her end they slow down till they practically stop. That is when I start checking tricome color. I only run autos in gaia green .never let me down

Every plant is different yes but the trichomes dont lie
I pay absolutely "no attention" to any specs by breeders,especially "yield" and height,I use my own observations as to when to harvest,like a digital magnifier

Ayyy comin in clutch my outdoor autos are about there. Autos are hard to tell when ready since lower growth seems to keep sprouting and stretching like pre flower.

QUESTION: I flipped my light to 12/12 on July 1st. I think I’m in week 5 of flower. When to the trichomes appear on the buds? My leaves are covered with trichomes but the buds are just green and covered in white hairs. Thanks if you find time to answer. p.s. I’m also growing outdoors, it’s been pretty hot here in Illinois.
I think trichcombs is the best way to tell when your plants are ready. 10 to 15% Amber pull Them..😊

You can stick your plants in a tent with a bucket of water to give you extra time to dry trim just make sure it doesn't go over 60% humidity or you won't be dry trimming any more 😂

Swollen caylax is what I'm looking for, not so much the dark trichomes. As long as they're all milky , i'm satisfied.
The last time I ran 48 dark. Ended up getting a little stretch.

I have listened to how long plants take to flower from the growers, and the gorilla cookies I'm running is on day 87 from seed. The website said 70 to 80 days, still waiting for a few amber trichs to start
Almost every stress in the last two weeks (darkness, less water, temp) is helpful for the terpproduction
Also, I have a question you say you take the whole thing down at once what if your top half has full spectrum trikes and the bottom is obviously not done would you wait for the bottom say screw it and chop it or harvest the top half and let the rest keep going or do all your trikes seem to match up at the same time because of better sun exposure?Obviously my tops are getting done before my bottoms.
I ran five and I did different stuff 3 of them. I took down the whole thing regardless of the bottom, not being done. The other two have taken down in layers according to when the trikes are ready also, the first three I cut the branches off and put them in drying basket hanging up. The 4th one that I took down in layers I dried the same except for final layer I chopped whole plant and hung up my dilemma is I think I like hanging the whole plant up but how can I do that if top half is ready and bottom isn’t

Im on ny 3rd crop of Godfather OG, it says it's a 9-10 week plant. It's more like closer to 12 weeks
Can you do a video on the white mold growing on the top of my soil?
Likely overwatering. I have a friend that does this consistently and then keeps asking everyone why there is a white fuzz and gnats everywhere. Water to run off every 3 days or so. If you get restless and feel like you have to do something in the meantime spray it a couple times with a water bottle.

My sativa only started to grow pistils on the 8th day after it was flipped. Still 30 days after flip, it has very less 2 hair pistils here and there, not on every node. Is this normal and how long can this go on?
Totally. Wet trimming sucks. Dry trimming is always best.

Gr8 vid broski. I would also like to hear about rate of trichome colour transformation in different cultivars and under different conditions (light distance, ppfd, etc). I heard 1 week to change from clear to cloudy and one more week for cloudy to amber...? Also the flush, one/two/three week flush, tapering off nutes? how faded before harvest? when to start flushing? increase or decrease vpd last weeks? Using RO water for flush? 😅🥦💚🫡🌲👊
