Online high stakes is strange nowdays. You go to sit at a table and see like 5 top tier crushers not playing waiting for you to sit and then everybody's playing again. Then they proceed to take 45 sec each on every decision to they can crunch the numbers on their solvers and message each other about their hands on discord while you're sitting there all c***d up ready to gamble. Yeah, I'm out lol😂 Very nice interview though.❤
HUD is cheating in my opinion….. You should not be allowed to have info being calculated by a computer unless it is offered to everyone by default…. 3rd party software to help you gain advantage is cheating
HUDs are forbidden on party poker and on ggpoker everyone has the ingame small HUD, you are probably talking about pokerstars but they are not number 1 anymore
And yet there's nothing you can do about it. It's not just getting best odds and hand charts, you can store all the hands during the game to have a history of how people are playing. You can be brain dead and your computer will play for you.
I played for a few years with a starting hand chart I made for myself, tailored to my game and my own theories on how to play poker. I suppose I should have made a better effort to memorize it. Eventually I did over time. But when I memorized it, what difference did it really make? I was still using the information. Does memorizing something really make it less shady?
Dan Ibreally appreciate your time and effort in all you do. You would be so much fun and such a good teacher to hang out with. Wish I knew you man. You're kind of a dying breed. Thanks for being real
Interesting to see 2 people talking about it but the way the person on the right is talking in loops and avoiding real thought and taking a stance is pretty annoying. Just give your opinion and please do not relate it to what ‘everyone’ thinks because that is pretty silly.
I don’t understand why Dvoress has an issue with “bum hunting” Is cause he thinks there is too much competition in bum hunting and he isn’t getting a good share of that bum EV or that he is the bum himself? Both aren’t a good look
When none of your top 5 players have been playing online for the last years, they might not be in top 5 any more. Just look at tough, small 5k, 10k daily tournament fields nowadays ONLINE, there you can see who's current top 5. If you just play live poker, you will fall behind pretty fast because you don't play, review and improve on enough hands compared to online regs. Live highstakes tournaments will always be quite soft because the best regs don't want to travel to each stop because they can make even more money online each day.
if you have a decent combination of: creativity, risk-taking, intelligence..way easier to make $200k in business..There's an infinite ocean of problems to be solved with competition much less intense than high stakes poker.. open your mind and look elsewhere if you're not in it for the poker glory
There is a rule and it’s called ONE PLAYER TO A HAND. It covers online and live play, so anyone saying consulting someone on the rail or other wise about your strategy is against the rules. Arguing anything else is dumb and I can see how these high stakes regs made all their money
I see guys do amazing card tricks and then wonder, how do I know my dealer isn't doing card tricks while dealing when a preferred player keeps getting the nuts? That's in person poker I worry about. Online is a bigger joke. Not only do you have to worry about people with solvers playing perfectly, you have to worry about collusion; players at the same table sharing info...and then you have to worry if the actual casino is digitally generating favorable hands or allowing opponents to see your cards. It's like playing online roulette. Really? Like I have to trust a computer program to actually be truly random? And the program not to cheat me?
If you need a chart to lookup preflop strategy, you're very welcome to my highstakes tournament table (online or live). I don't care if you use charts for preflop tips. Highstakes regs know these charts anyway and that is not a big edge any more on highstakes tournaments.
Is Poker Bros legit? I’m nowhere near a casino and it’s the only poker I can play. I am a profitable player on there but there are so many times when it looks like something shady is going on. Especially in tournaments when multiple players jam with the poorest of hands.
poker is not just NLHE...poker includes many many games...the only game right now that is very hard to play at high stakes is LHE since it is solved..a close second is NLHE. but PLO and mixed games is still highly profitable since its hard to solve
Was predictable, we where off quite well with Scheinberg ''who had a heart for winning players'' once it became a stock thing like Amaya takeover of PS. Now GG. Things are getting more and more bad.
Rake is ridiculous on some sites. Even if the player pool is full of recreationals, winning is still very hard because of high rake. Then all the players who take game more seriously avoid these sites and... they all flock into lower rake sites which leads to overall level of play being much tougher there. So fewer and fewer can win and those who win spend more and more time studying and getting better at the game.
Why all the discussion. It is very very easy. Poker is a Single-Person-Sport. Everything which giving you a small advantage with tools is same as DOPING. U get caught Doping in a real Sport, u will be fined and disqualificated for very long time. That would be the solution. Problem is the Casinos, they dont regulate strong cause they want money and not less players.
Funny list, full of semiretired fish. All of these players would breakeven at best(im being kind saying this, they would lose massively)if they played online consistenly against addamo, amadi, lena, darwin, malaka, kulev and a long etcetera of better players.

They may be good at MTTs but they are BAD professional gamblers/poker players. Cash games were always the smarter play.
Easy to go broke playing MTTs as big scores are so far infrequent. So they just spend til they are brokr
