It is an Oxbow lake off the river Doug. World record Largemouth Bass was caught in an Oxbow lake. What a pretty bowl. I like it the colors are amazing.

Wow!, Doug! With all the frustrations you had to deal with on this bowl, it looks fantastic! I love how you always seem to mix the perfect color with each of your projects. While watching this a few minutes ago, I started thinking about when, probably a year or so ago, I asked, in the comments, if you had ever turned a bowl to deep, and gone through the bottom. You answered, Yes. It’s called a funnel. 😆 shortly after I had been thinking that, a hole appears in this piece. Weird when things like that happen. 🌀😁🔮 Hope you have a super week! I always like the things you do with color and this was a nice piece, despite the stumbling blocks that turned up in your path. The mixed blues were a pretty idea and I hope to see you try it again sometime!

You recovered well, but you did well to recover and not tell us how you really felt... It is a very nice piece, though. I love your colors and the river concept. Kudos..!
