  • This bowl was made with maple ambrosia, padauk, and mahogany woods. The way it was done was by first cutting the padauk and mahogany woods into the appropriate size strips and then glue and clamp. The next day the edges were cleaned up with a jointer/planner. I then took a block of maple ambrosia and cut into 4 equal pieces at 30 degrees. The padauk and mahogany strips were then cut to size and glued up with the maple and clamped. The next day I ran the block of joined wood in my drum sander. I then cut the block the other way at 60 degrees and inserted the rest of the strips then glues and clamped. The rest is on video!

Amazing artistry Jeff! How you hold and mold bowl beauty with all those cutting tools and still melodically play guitar is truly a gift! Be careful!!
