It's not a free to play game, it's a demo. The rotation means that they can catch people who want to play specific characters without having to have all characters available in the demo.
Yeah its a great system because if you see there are chars you'd enjoy playing with you might consider buying it. If not now, maybe later on sale. Regional pricing is the only thing people should be complaining about. Not: game gives me a ftp moba experience instead if a whole ftp game. Sucks that I have to buy a 50 dollar game (baring regional pricing issues) when most games today are 60 to 70. Sure I could wait for a sale. But i only want to play one char. (Seriously my response to only playing one char is that you really shouldn't stick to one. Game is far more fun when you dip into everyone. And if you want to get good, it helps a big deal. Like nier is a puppet char. I don't play puppet chars but decided to learn her. First few hours were me being upset at her normals changing range with death deployment and her 2H not being a skyscrapper like bubs or zooey. Now, I absolutely feel like a mad man playing her. Heck even the common idea of how to beat her summon when its blocked got solved by me by finding a way not only to catch it. But to combo from it fully. Even my 2H troubles got over it. Tbh if i just said well all I need is bubs because bubs is my main man, i'd be missing out. Sure some people don't want to diversify but keeping it full price or not may help those who invest to actually try new things.) So i'm gonna complain because I get to try out this game but can't earn everything for free. I'll also ignore how fgs can't really sustain a ftp model without being overly greedy. But yeah to me only fault made here was not calling it demo version instead of free. Cause if it was called a demo nobody would complain. Issue is its more closer to ftp than demo looking a lot like mobas.
I think if it wanted to be a demo, the devs would lock out more options, which they didn't meaning it's closer to an unlimited free trial with some limitations, sort of like ff14.
It says "Free Edition" on the steam page, which for most games means you will have all the features of the main game with the missing content supplemented with micro-transactions. Absolutely nobody would buy micro-transactions on a demo, but a free edition can feign meaningful progression and perhaps catch a few bones here or there.
I mean, the free version is largely meant to be more so of a demo to the game that has online access. Most fighters probably couldn't sustain a free to play model without going under quickly so I'm glad its basically just a full release with a nice demo version
Yeah, a f2p model is not going to work very well for a fighter. Most popular f2p games have very accessible gameplay with maybe a high ceiling for mastery, so they can release paid content without much fear of people not buying, but for a fighter, a genre with an already high barrier for entry, you can't really sell anything that'd guarantee profit. You sell individual fighters, people will only buy the ones they like, meaning for a one-trick main it's 90% lost profit; you sell cosmetics, only the people who play that character is going to buy that cosmetic; you sell BP, what can you realistically put in the BP besides a skin that's going to entice people to pay? In-game currency and resources that boost your progress? You can't put that in a fighting game, people who play FG don't care about those. Well we still have that LoL fighter, maybe Riot will figure out a model that works by the time it releases.

I wanna talk about the situation with the Brazillian price on Steam. I bought GBVS standard version, I had a lot of fun with the game, played through the entirety of the Story Mode, bought all of the in game artwork, music and said "Y'know what? I think I will buy the Legendary Version of the game to play with all of the characters". This was the first fighting game that got me hooked from the start, not only giving me a BR-PT translation, that aside from DBFZ, ONLY Granblue has, and great gameplay. Was I able to play online? Yes, with a couple of friends who live in Brazil, but I had a great time. So when Rising was announced I was so happy "WOW I will be able to play with friends with a great netcode and be able to spread the word of Granblue around!". But the one thing I didn't talk about was how much I paid for GBVS, I paid around R$3,20 when it was on sale, and then got the Legendary Version for around R$33,00, the price of the base game when it's not on sale, and so you guys know the Legendary Version was around R$70,00, which I thought it was fair, it had all the characters with cosmetics not included for some of them, but I ended up unlocking them by playing the RPG Mode, which is really fun. And then, this week, I was waiting for the price to be shown on Steam, I played the Beta previously with friends, and most of them loved the game, so I wanted to buy the game because I created an attachment to it. When the price dropped, I was shocked. R$264,00 for the base version of the game, the Deluxe Edition double that price, and the battle pass the same price as the base game, Steam didn't localize the game's price and doubled the suggested price. Imagine how this will affect the national scene for GBVSR, If it has not already. Sorry for the long comment, but I wanted to talk about this.

You forgot one more monetization model for fighting games before Killer Instinct popularized the season pass model... one mostly unused these days, but was a huge problem back in the day... the SF2 monetization model... pay full-price for a balance update, packaged as "the next edition" of the game... multiple times. SF2 did this so much it pretty much became one of the earliest Japanese video game memes even before the era of internet, lol... There's a reason SF2 still remains the best-selling SF game in the franchise. The many editions, rereleases, and ports of its various editions bloated the sales of the SF2 series by a whole lot.
I mean, Granblue Rising is just an updated Granblue Versus as well. It may be a little more extensive than something like Xrd sign to Revelator, but it’s still completely built on the base of the original.
Live service games also work only for substantially larger playerbases than fighting games usually have. I’m not surprised they experimented, but I’d love to buy Narmaya alone, but there would need to be 10.000 of mes buying it to justify it, I think, because for every me who buys a single character there’s like 30 characters that aren’t bought and thus justified their dev cycle. I wish it could work somehow, but I can’t see any other way than having a gigantic playerbase.
My only comment to that is with the ability to purchase every character separately, they would in effect gain a larger player base. Still having the option to buy the whole game for $50 for those who want to own the whole cast (probably at a deal compared to buying everyone separately) as well as the option to buy individual characters doesn’t loosen them much money in the long term. Gaining more players effectively who are more likely to buy cosmetics for that one character that they bought. Making a return customer who will most likely pay out more than $50 in 10-15$ increments due to cosmetic purchases.
@@agwatson6600 The game barely has cosmetic purchases. Wow an 8$ battle pass once every 45 days. When most skins in games cost 15 to 20. If they sold an individual character, they would lose so much money as most players would only purchase their main. Just be happy a free version exists in the first place.
I’m ngl a lot of this video just comes off as nitpicky & entitled to me I’m all for criticizing Cygames & ASW when it’s warranted, but outside of no Room Matches in Free version (which sucks) & Regional Pricing (which REALLY sucks), the rest is fine Limiting but like… yeah you’re not paying for it This is NOT a F2P game, it’s a $50 game that happens to offer a Free version for you to test out the game And if you like it enough, pay for the full game This Free version didn’t need to exist, it would not affect how monetization or natural unlockables (which there’s already a large amount of cosmetic-wise in this game specifically) are handled already Quite frankly I’m surprised they allowed this much content in it, it’s genuinely more than I expected to see The fact this video only exists BECAUSE it was generous enough to give players this much without paying a penny rubs me the wrong way honestly
Huh, I honestly love that monetisation is leaning into the cosmetics/cards etc perfectly happy for them to be restricted in the free version. Really hope this model works out, it kinda seems like a permanent demo which might also help keep player numbers up
How is the monetization leaning into cosmetics if they are selling characters? They are including all types of monetization and overpricing everything, it's horrible
@@SquallNoctisGUX that it’s been done better? How does that make it a problem tho. Most modern fighting games don’t even have a demo and if they do it’s offline only. Takes a special kinda person to complain about a free mode with online.
Imma be fully honest at this point in the video 10:18 your complaint is just buy the game free players are on that version to try the game they don't intend for u to play the free version and go play tournaments and thats the same reason why you can't buy each character specifically and why you can't join a room you aren't meant to be able to do more then just try the game
Damn I'm broke and have my issues with the release of Granblue but damn imagine telling devs "Oh you wanted to sell your game for a base price? Fuck you" thats crazy, people like should get payed for their work & however they decide that pay should come should be their decision. What happens when you price out each character is if someone buys 1 character then tries out other characters on rotation and likes them then buys that character? They have now dropped 1/5th of the games price, if they like even more characters you are just wasting money not buying the full game when you get around to 5 characters. I dislike the season 1 pricing too but if my ass really thinks Ima want everything included in it I'll just wait till I have the money for the deluxe edition cause that's 15$ less then buying the pass
I usually agree with everything you do, but this one I think may have come from misunderstanding of what this was meant to be. Its meant to be a demo, like the old school ones that basically were a 30 minute movie. And tbh, as a demo, this is VERY lenient for what a Demo is supposed to be. The private lobbies I do definitely understand. Now if this was meant to be a free game with a premium option (Like some mmos for example), then I get it. But this is definitely meant to be a free demo that you’d see in the xbox games shop back in 2010
That's not the point of the video, this game is trying to be a live service mixed with premium, there shouldn't have been a premium version if they want this insane monetization and since the game is almost fully a copy and paste, you should instantly unlock all chars you had in the previous game (they can do it with skins, why not the actual copy ans pasted characters?)
The main disagreement I have with this video, is that if this game was full on live service, getting all the characters out of the gate would absolutely cost you like $80 or more, by sticking to a primarily box price and just having a free version as an extended demo, this helps fix that issue. Being massively overcharged for the dlc if you didn;t instantly commit to the deluxe edition like I didn't because I wasn't sure I'd have the extra £22 at the time but I wanted to screw around with a bunch of characters with friends on my birthday for fun, feels so bad.
Not really. Fighting games can be better and it's not our fault for complaining too much, it's the developers fault for sticking to old ways of monetization while demanding more and more money from their players with each installment.
I see where you're coming from in regards to the monetization of the game, but I think that the free version is really just meant to be a demo to help get more people into the game.
The free version seems purely to let people try out the game to see if they think its worth getting the full game. The limitations make sense, because if you're that into it then going out of your way for the full game seems worth it. I'd rather the free version exists to let people see if they enjoy the system, then to cut it out completely because it adds fairly arbitrary limits to cosmetics. I don't think feeling the free version sucks is a mark against the full game.
Kind of sucks. The community would simply be bigger and better if f2p version didnt suck. Also because the free version is kinda trash, you arent going to draw enough people in to warrant it. The f2ps cant: experience a main, cant experience customization, cant experience the real experience. At present it has no real purpose.
@@requiem9167 customization is hardly an issue. I haven't seen a single person complain about not being able to customize shit in the free version. And the people that do complain might as well buy the game if they complaining about shit like customization in a competitive fighting game lol.

You're right. Which is to say I'm going to tell you you're wrong. The easiest encapsulation of the irony is that Killer Instinct despite being wildly popular and and amazing game was an absolute financial flop. Because that sort of business model simply doesn't generate the amount of money needed to offset the cost. The short version is, players are entitled. I bought Street Fighter 2. In 1992. For SEVENTY DOLLARS. In 1992. And that game cost SUBSTANTIALLY less than 1% to make as a modern game. Games shouldn't be $70. They SHOULD be $200+ to account for inflation and rising production costs. That's the simple math. So the only way these games survive at the "Discounted" price of $70 is by finding other sources of income. So to say that even $70 is still too much to pay is just out of touch and tone deaf.
Idk dude I feel like you're making mountains out of mole hills with this one. Like of course they want you to buy the full version, and this is an extremely generous model as-is
Bro... it's a free trail... the only problem is the "no room lobby". But otherwise, it's literally meant to be a TRAIL, it's not designed to be played for long. The REAL problem with this game is the absurd lack of marketing for the F2P.
And even then no room lobby isn’t the worst. It’s so easy to find each other in public lobbies. Only downside is filling up the server but that’s no skin off the players back
The REAL problem is the laughably bad monetization, come on dude.... people are praising paying 50 dollars for a game with a ton of MTs made of mostly recycled content.
I personally really like that they have a free version, even though I'm having a ton of fun with the game I definitely don't plan on buying the full version, it's just way too expensive due to the lack of regional pricing. I've had to miss out on so many games recently because absolutely no one seems to care about adding regional pricing, I'm pretty sure the only fighting games I've bought from the last 3 years are strive, which I dropped after getting bored of the base cast and realizing they had removed regional pricing so I couldn't get the dlcs, and yomi hustle which has regional pricing despite only being $5. After having a ton of fun with the granblue beta I was fully resigned to the game releasing without regional pricing and not being able to buy it, so the game having a free version, limited as it is, I was extremely happy about, I definitely see myself grinding the game long-term with whoever comes up on the rotation Also this is probably a hot take but I 100% prefer this to an actual f2p model, f2p sucks the enjoyment out of a game like nothing else because it turns it into a chore rather than something you play for fun. I wouldn't have enjoyed playing zeta on the free version if I had only been doing it to grind for a different character I actually wanted to play, I could focus on actually having fun with the game instead. f2p monetization turns everything you do into a grind rather than a fun activity and it makes you lose sight of why you play the game in the first place, I have yet to find a single f2p game that isn't made worse by its monetization
It’s hilarious that they made a free demo that lets you access 80% of the content and instead of being grateful people just want to complain about the little bit of content they can’t access for free. The price complaints are also silly considering it’s a $50 game in a world where every other fighting game is $60 or $70.
It's a copy and paste of an already sold game, with already sold dlc that also will sell skins and additional character for a pricing that could get you entire new fighting games. It's laughably ridiculous, the free version is fine and whatever, but the pricing is traight up garbage, this is literally overwatch 2 or cs 2 but PAID, it's awful, the least they should do is give all the characters you had in the previous game for free and there shouldn't be a premium version of the game at all.
@@IgorJCorrea Bro you haven't even played the first game if you think it's copy and paste. It's like thinking Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 shouldn't be sold as separated game since there is Xrd.
If this was just a 50 dollar fighting game, mostly no one would complain, but the fact that they also have very generous free demo with a ton of gameplay to it makes people feel entitled to more. Seems kinda nuts to me. I would love to be able to spend like 5 bucks for my main and have full access to the online modes of the game, but I'm also not mad that the devs don't want to double down on that risky business model. Also, complaining about this is just gonna lead other games to stick to more bare bones demos.
Yeah, it's kinda weird. Especially the "most of the content comes from an older game" complain. Versus went from full price to 20'ish, the version with all DLC character now being at the former "full price", and now we even get this content including part of story mode for free? It's just crazy when put in perspective! I'm curious about if we'll be able to permanentely unlock DLC characters if we buy them but not the base game, that would create quite the interesting precedent if that becomes a thing...
Nah man fuck that noise, with all of the microtransactions and ways to sqeeze money out of their players GBFVSR sounds already the next step of scumbaggery in fighting games, and fuck that tbh. The demo is whatever and could be improved but the full game trying to shove microtransactions down your throat and people saying that others are "entitled" and "complaining is only gonna get things worse" are the worst opinions I've heard around this topic
@@Bonemannestbh until we stop dlc chars its gonna continue. But gonna be real, og versus BP wasn't worth much for the player. It probably will cost money but might not. Even still it will remain cosmetic and the base cosmetics already are fire imo. As in i say make sure the BP is reasonably priced and indefinite if you buy it. That aside its fine unles you want to fight against paid dlc chars being a thing.
I'm just sitting here asking What is Killer Instinct chopped liver?! Completely free base game with character rotation and the ability to only buy characters you are interested in, two free characters that are permanent (IIRC) for just participating in the shadow lords mode (rogue like campaign) and a full roster version that is far cheaper than some full price games by a significant margin But gran blue seems to be doing interesting things in this vein
I think my biggest issue is that there is no way for you to unlock characters for free. Most live service games are pay for char or pay time for char. League has a free rotation but many ways to unlock the champion with game time which keeps the player base going. It's a goal. Otherwise the rest is okay. Even if they give you only two characters before you have to buy but in fighting games likely you only want one or two characters so sadly that wouldn't be good monetization. It's not really F2P it's a demo/trial because of that. The rest of it works like Gran Bruise.
The Free Version is designed to give you access to the bare minimum of content in the game and entice you into buying it while feeding numbers to make a bigger playerbase. But it also seems to be designed to annoy you into a full purchase by limiting certain things. Not that shocking but I'm numb at this point so most disappointment is just within expectations. Heck just having a free mode feels like a shockingly kind gesture so this is just the monkey's paw.
With how long fighting games usually last, and how the first release went - I’m not surprised devs did things the way they did. Joining a room but not creating one maybe would be better.
I'm going to be honest. You just convinced me to buy this game XD I tried the free version after watching this video and fell in love with it. Thank you.
They want you to buy the game. Why would anyone buy the full game if you can just buy the characters you want. It’s a free version and they allow you to do a lot. I’m on the free version rn, sucks you can’t join a private lobby tho. Other than that it served its purpose, I will be buying the game soon, they put alot of care in the game, a lot more than 99% of fighting game devs. There’s fair points but I like it for what it is, if you like something you should support it, if not don’t.. simple. I’m just glad I can play
Bros crying about a FREE game.. like bro just enjoy the fact that the game is free or buy the full game. Actual L video smh. I expected better from you
The deluxe character pass1 ($50 USD) shouldnt be bought because because the deluxe edition of the game ($75) it includes the deluxe character pass1. After the first dlc character drops, they going to have a regular character pass which includes all of the 6 dlc characters for $35. It's a bit confusing. The difference between the deluxe character pass and the regular character pass (that drops later) is just costumes, colors and weapon skins. Which can be earned in game with the exception of the costumes
Thanks for this comment. I planned on getting the DLC characters eventually but was worried that I had wasted $25 in the long run by not buying the deluxe edition
Not being able to make a room in the free version doesn't even make sense, what if I want to try the game with my friend to see if I like it? Guess I just can't so won't even try the game woops.
bro what? this might be the dumbest take in this comment section.a private room is a luxury, ofc it will be in the paid version only. it's also not like u can't play with a friend in a public lobby. yall acting like this isn't a free version hahaha
But this is such wasted potential currently. Let them purchase characters separately and experience it as a free to play model. It's a great answer to the free to play push that's happening but it just isn't quite there, because it's viewing itself as a demo. They want you to spend $50 instead of investing long term in the free to play audience. So if talking about that is crying, then cry we will. It's a great idea to cry about.
@@megabumbusta2746 that would make sense if fighting games had the pull of other f2p games. If you have a f2p shooter made by a top tier dev (last few examples are the finals, warzone and apex), you will have millions of people try, so you can monitize through small purchases. Fighting games are niche and don't have the marketing or brand recognition to get that many people to try (gbvs demo averages like 2-3k players) so they need to make money with game sales and treat it as a demo and not a live service. That's why I thought it was dumb. What gekko also didn't mention is that the game's 'live servicey' parts are literally free with the game, the only weird thing is the upcoming battlepass, everything else is free progression
@@AcencialAMV I'm not sure entirely... I could imagine that model working with something like Tekken, Street Fighter, MK. And say those 3k free players, 1k were playing Sieg, he goes off rotation. they might be inclined to purchase him fully. People who might otherwise lose interest and just drop it, yknow? Or... we take the evil route and add gacha to the free version
Most of this video I understand and agree with. But uhh given tournaments tend to have cash rewards, yeah, I feel "Just buy the game bro, clearly you're interested" is fair for tournament play.
I get your point, but the free edition is meant to be a demo, something you use to gauge your interest in the game and decide if you want to make the purchase or not. As far as demos go, I don't think a better on in the whole gaming exists. If you like the game, BUY IT!! SF6 demo doesn't even let you play online, think about that.
I gotta disagree with the stuff you're complaining about tbh. I think the free version is incredibly generous. Especially the part about the tournament streams, if someone takes the game seriously enough to want to compete in tournaments they'll most likely buy the full game so they can lab matchups.
DOA5 Last round had my favorite way of implementing F2P Fighter. It rotated the characters you could play arcade, Vs, and Online till infinitime. But the best part is if you really enjoyed a character you can buy that character alone withought getting the full game. And if you wanted to just buy all the characters for the price of the game. The biggest thing they monetized was outfits which makes sense since fortnight basically does the same thing.
The thing with me is that I LOVE the free version of this game, me as a fighting game player I don’t really care about any of the casual aspects like arcade mode, survival mode, etc I just care about the characters and a good training mode, and the fact that I can try out potentially every character in a fighting game for completely free is amazing, the online lobbies thing also doesn’t bother me that much cause if I’m entering a tournament I’m gonna try and find an offline bracket
Free Edition is a Demo! The amount of bitching is out of this world. Want to complain about the game? Complain about the dumb balance with only 4 or 5 characters actually playable.
To me the primary selling point to a fighting game is finding a character you really enjoy and this free edition makes this incredibly hard. I get its a compromise between letting us try out characters and not just giving us the entire thing for free but frankly I don't feel like waiting week after week to hopefully have it randomly pick the characters I wanna try.
Steam refund policy already allows this. So it just sounds like you didn’t want it at all. Which is fine. But I’ve noticed a lot of weird logical hoop jumping people are going to avoid admitting they just weren’t going to buy the game and nothing short of absolutely free would get them to play.
@@SH1NK1R01 For me not being able to find a character I thoroughly enjoy is a major dealbreaker for any fighting game but I have to admit that there were already issues with the game for me that turned me away from it.

@@bonfist7277 Two hours to really figure out if you like a character or not can be pretty iffy depending on the roster size, but I did admit that I wasn't gonna buy granblue anyway
I remember voicing my concerns about CURRENTLY THE ONLY character pass (the deluxe one) being the same price as the base game on the GBFVS Discord server by saying it was odd and kinda greedy from ArcSys and whatever company that owns Granblue and got clowned for it. Right now there really is no incentive to buy the standard edition of the game. You either stick to free version, buy the deluxe edition of the game or... You know, buy the game twice for a full experience.
In the midst of the clowning you probably missed the official announcement that the character pass isn’t being released until the first character launches. So the pass that exists now is just the deluxe edition upgrade.
@@SH1NK1R01 but that’s the weird part. Why sell the deluxe pass before the regular pass and not at the same time? Some games do that and they will more often than not still have people who go for the deluxe pass right out of the gate.

Free version is a big W to test out the waters, very generous. If u get interested buy it, you even have steam refund as a backup. Personally I tried the game, loved it and now im running with the deluxe edition. Why cant you just buy the character you want to play? Ever thought about how the company gonna cover costs for like development, design, programming, marketing, support while also making profit? Go play Streetfighter 6, i heard it was free to play.
This dude missed by a long shot with this video. You can unlock weapons skins and outfits AND currency by leveling up characters. If you for a free version of the game, god forbid there’s something you can’t access. Stop focusing on the 20% that isn’t there. I also don’t think in the model that you suggested would benefit casual players. Who tf wants to pay for each individual character if they aren’t going to tournaments?
Sorry man but I disagree with a lot of complaints you mentioned. All of the extra things are very shallow and superficial and you don:t really need them. At least I am a person who rarely buys extra costumes unless I find them SUPER COOL. While I do agree that the industry is getting a tad greedy, I feel your reaction is a tad bit overblown. Not saying is wrong, but I don:t fully agree. The one complaint I agree with is not being able to join private matches on the free version, wtf?
In my opinion: Fuck Battle Passes if you're going to charge for gameplay content. However if you provide the gameplay-related content and updates (AKA Maps/Modes/Characters/Weapons) for free, then I'll accept the Battle Pass. I feel like that is a fair trade to be able to keep everyone on the same gameplay level/content so no one gets left out; but no double dipping by charging for both gameplay AND cosmetics.
well that was 15 mins straight of gekko being mad than the demo is a demo. You dont miss often but when ya do. The dlc is too expensive but other than that. you wouldnt be complaining about a 50$ game
This video doesnt make sense. Why is it a problem that the new fighting game is 50 dollars? Someone explain? Every other big game costs 10 or more above 50 so whats the deal?
10:35 It's a little unfair to complain about having to pay for a full game experience when you are, indeed, getting a full game experience. There's a robust story mode, that uses game mechanics from the mobile game to keep it interesting (grinding against bosses to get cool stuff and a sense of growth), the fighting game itself, and Grand Bruise (as long as you have an internet pass, fuck that PSN). Honestly it makes the incentive for buying the battle pass and such go down in my opinion, especially since in the original version of the game the battle pass had free rewards(as most bps do), because if you're already happy with the game there's not much you need to add to be happier. I think DLC is better than sequels (most of the time) and I think cosmetics aren't necessary to enjoy the game especially when there are a lot of free cosmetic options. So the only criticism that I've agreed with so far is that they should change it so ftp can use the cosmetics they've earned. There is still 7 minutes to go though so maybe I'll change my mind.
The thing that really hurts this game fot me is the fact that it doesn't have regional pricing on Steam. i can buy SF6 for 45$ (30$ rn since its on sale), T8 will cost 56$. So there's really no reason to buy a niche game for even more or around the same price. Also speaking about niche games that i could buy instead of this, UNI2 is HALF THE PRICE OF THIS, God bless French Bread for respecting people with shitty currencies. I've been playing the Free Version and mostly enjoying it, but theres really not enough for me to spend that much money, maybe it if ever goes on sale for 50% ill get it.
We fought for rollback and we won; We fought for crossplay and we won; Now we are fighting for fair prices and we WILL WIN, NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER !
So, i feel like 90% of the criticisms here are suuuuper nitpicky, at best. No customizable avatars is bad, i guess. But I feel like a person who cares about that specifically, has played a lot already. Someone who played dozens of hours, who has a couple of cool avatars to actually switch to. The example you used supports this. What new player would be able to get an avatar for beating arcade mode on Nightmare? For custom lobbies, it is dumb that you can't join private lobbies, its still pretty incidental. Sure you can't join tournaments as the best Gran player of all time, but that is such an unlikely scenario that I'm convinced that it won't happen. Though, to be fair, it's possible for smaller tournys, or more likey, private rooms that this could be a problem. But again, what new player is gonna be good enough to enter tournaments. By the time you invested enough time and effort to be good enough, you'd probably buy the game anyways. As a lot of people have pointed out in the comments, this is a demo. It literally says its a demo on Steam. Honestly, I'm gonna check the game out now, because of the video. And if I like the game enough, I'll get the full version. If I don't, I'll uninstall and do something else. That's kinda the point.
when the game was announced as f2p i was pretty hyped, feel like it was a bit misleading overall though. It really is more of a demo than anything, which is fine but going f2p and missing out on basic training mode stuff is pretty hindering. usually f2p games are a viable way to play. Also i think the title is pretty fair, he didn't say its bad just not great, i think good is a pretty fair label. its basically free to try, not a live service model.
This video is confusing. You start by saying that the monetization model fighting games have is full price game plus fighter passes. which is somehow not live service to you. Then you say they're now STARTING to adopt overpriced live service features... Buddy, Strive is now a 40$ game with 75$ worth of season passes and fairly frequently gets updates (to say nothing of the paid color packs....) The "season pass" model ALREADY matches your live service definition and Strive is just one example. There's Tekken, DBFZ, and so on before it. Don't try to justify the bad monetization of older titles that you play. Fighting games have been going on a downhill slope for a while now in regards to price vs value. At least now people are starting to notice Screw this noise, I'm going back to BBCF...
Do you get the full roster in training mode or is it limited to the Gran +3, I know that the specific trials and training are locked off but what about in the training room?
Im going to be honest i feel like you haven't explored the pricing of the game far enough. There are some people here are defending the fact the game is free, their restrictions and how some if not alot of players won't stay to play the game, meanwhile im scratching my head on why they want us to buy a gloryfied remake of this game. I already bought the last one and some DLC i would apprettiate being able to atleast be able to play said DLC, but here i am. Oh and one of the bigger reasons i wanted to play this ''new'' version is so that i could play with friends who usually don't play fighting games so you could imagine how dissapointed i was for not being able to... you know.... PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS.
I don't think this is supposed to be an alternative for buying the game. It's more of a demo with unlimited access as long as you're ok with sticking to Gran or the rotation.
I love how the disdain for the box cost is so high that all the suggestions were to make the total cost functionally higher just to have the option to spend less. This is why these arguments fall apart so fast. It’s not the win win you think it is. If the monetization is altered to accommodate to people paying for only one character then the entire game has to become grinder and less rewarding to accommodate. And if it doesn’t then they would need to price the characters to be individually more expensive then buying full game. Killer instinct was great. But you know what it wasn’t? Profitable. That’s why Microsoft treats it like a red headed step child and barely mentions it. That model doesn’t work for a genre as niche as this. We make all these arguments about a 50 dollar anime game but only mention sf as a bullet point on the topic. Why aren’t we at the gates of Capcom and bamco about this? T8 is gonna be 70 bucks plus a season pass and will also sell cosmetics and I doubt this same energy will carry. But the audacity of these devs to ask for 50 bucks from people just cannot stand I guess.
Why couldn't they just replicate Brawlhalla's tactic? Granblue already has the polish and overall content over brawlhalla. They could just make it so the base roster of the first game is free, Then use the in-game currency to earn the rest of the characters or BUY them and the characters of season 1 for a certain price. I guess I'm going to have to wait till Project L to come out to finally get my Traditional Fighter Brawlhalla like I always dreamed of.
kinda disappointed to see them reaching out a hand and many people grabbing the entire arm. We should be THANKFUL that there is a free version. I completely understand why someone would criticize the free version, I mean there a some inconvenience like no private room. But complaining about not being able to buy the chara seperatly? They are just releasing a free version, not a completely different monetization system. The free Version is SUPPOSED to lure you to buy the game
11:22 and btw. Adressing one, if not even the biggest problem, of the game (regional prices), in a text which shows up for half a second wasn’t good. You could at least say it your self instead of burying it in a quick text
and also funny to see is the fact that if they didn’t release a free version (a consumer friendly practices) people wouldn’t rant about the game itself and it’s monezitation like they are doing now. If I were a game dev or pub I wouldn’t release a free version after hearing almost only bad reviews
I finished the video and I still disagree you are only meant to try the game with the free version not play it like ud play the full game so yeah no tournaments and no j can't buy specific characters
Edit: I realize my point may not have been perfectly clear, so I'm gonna put my argument at the top and leave the rest of the comment as it was below this. The argument that they "should have gone all in on one direction" is really weird because... They did do that. It's a normal $50 fighting game, it just ALSO has a free version as a bonus to let you try it. Making it lean more into live service stuff the way you described would be way worse than just... Having a normal game you can buy. If you want to play the full game, you buy it just like every other full normal game. If you don't think you're interested enough to pay for the full version, the free version is there as a bonus to let you play it anyways while you wait for a sale or just... don't buy it. In that case, you just play when your character is in rotation and once your rotation ends, you just go do something else the same way you would if the free version didn't exist. $50 Fighting game: "This is fine, cool game" $50 Fighting game with a free version that lets you access most of the game's content with some limitations to make sure the paid game is still worth buying: "What the fuck this sucks they completely fumbled it was almost good it would be so much better if the game was completely free and just copied way shitter ways to make money instead of being a normal ass game where you buy the game and get the content" Yeah people are gonna dislike this video, because this is not a "win win" making every single aspect of the game paid on its own and filling it with microstransactions instead of just having free bonus content you get access to through grinding would be way, way worse. It's much better for it to just... Be a normal game like every other game on the market with a free option to try out. If you want to play the shit out of the game, buy it. If you don't think the game is worth $50, just play when your characters are on rotation and go about your life when they aren't because you weren't going to buy it anyways. The free edition is a BONUS to let people who don't want to buy the full game still play it.
This is something developers and even critics need to understand and it's so obvious and baffling that they fail to learn this: in multiplayer games, players are the content. So having more players in your game only improves the quality of your game. Yes it seems like the devs will never make any money if everyone can just buy one character but how many of those that would have bought one character paid full price for the game? You could go as high as $10 per character and it would still be a fair price.
So like, you had me for a lil while, and then you made a big stinker about Battlepasses and how the free-to-play demo version, the version that's whole point is to see if you would like the fighting game in the first place, doesn't give you full control of the game. Like, pick a side. Either you like the free option, or you don't. You contradict yourself here lad. The room thing, sure, that sucks, as well as the rotation of characters, but, also, you're not meant to continue using the free version. It's like you said, it's a demo. It's only there to give you a taste of what the game has to offer. Are battle passes dumb? Absolutely! But, guess what, they're also optional, because all it is, is a bunch of cosmetics. As for the 50 dollar price tag, it sounds sorta like you don't like the game enough, which was the whole point of the demo, to not buy the full game. So, don't. Don't like the monetization, don't spend money. It's that simple bruda.
No she shouldn't have because she was also DLC in original. I swear to God it was a mistake to include a f2p version because once they give people an inch they'll take a mile
Most of these are non-issues IMO. You get the free version, you come with some limitations. Lack of customization is no big deal. But I think you should be able to at least purchase the main cast when they aren't on rotation. If this is supposed to be a trial, you can't meaningfully try the game since you won't be able to see if a character works for you without having access to them.
a free trail isnt supposed to be played forever, or become the best or playing tournaments? It is literally just there to make sure you like the game and then you can buy it if you want? Battle passes suck yes but it is not required? most fighting games dont even have skins? it exists just so you can find it fun? I feel like the idea of a demo/free version is lost here. Its just there to make it to were you want to but the game
As a Free Gran main, the awkward situation in tourneys is my biggest worry. A solution is to mention “F2P friendly” in the tourneys so they allow screen share matches on stream. But TOs can just as easily deny entry for free players otherwise… which is fair as buying the game can be considered entry fee. Even if I hate to say it.
I was literally about to call him out for not understanding what a demo is but the comments did it for me XD. Dude u sound like ur getting SF6 Vietnam flashbacks bro. SF6 is trash i agree but but high prices for cosmetics in GBVS doesn't mean that much if u can still unlock stuff, just dont buy it. I wont even buy strive dlc cuz the overpricing it, over $6 USD per character in a literal downgrade from Xrd is not worth my money. Why do pay for it? See the hypocrisy? So yeah, just buy the game and not the stupid pass or go back to stive. I know it sucks but we can still enjoy the game without looking fabulous. Also u play Siegfried, u don't get to complain dude.
I think there are a couple of things they can take away from mobile games/live service (I know that sounds bad) like having something like room matches or customization locked behind an initial purchase. Like say you spent $5.00, then you would have access to some customization and joining room matches (you couldn't make rooms as you would need to own the game to do so). Also if you buy a character you unlock the full progression track for said character, allowing you to grind with the character. I don't know what that singular purchase price needs to be to both feel fair to someone who just wants to one trick and enjoy everything but with slight restrictions and make sense for Cygames. I can see having a $10 bundle with a character and some colors for the character, the avatar, and the partner and that including some "VIP" unlock granting the missing features.
Considering how well fighters seem to fit the F2P model I'm puzzled that this hasn't been much of a thing and it hadn't come sooner. They already make a ton of DLC and nickle and dime people, the only thing that'd change is not having a box prize. Which is a big deal but it'd also mean that more people would play.
I feel like Project L coud be either the new standard for the FG monetization model or the forever outliar cause Riot has enough money to maintain a fully F2P fighting game
Fantasy Strike also went free to play. They made a commitment to never charge for characters (so you never need to pay to win). Of course, they charged for cosmetics in a shop that rotated stuff out every day. The free edition gives access to the random queues, single matches against CPU, and training mode, with the rest of the features available for $20. Unfortunately, the game is no longer supported because it was a financial disaster. So, take from that what you will.
Fantasy Strike however had no big IP behind it and a very experimental gameplay style, so I wouldn't necessarily chalk its failure up to the monetization model. The Riot fighting game on the other hand? I could see that totally work with a F2P model, given that League already works that way and the player base is absolutely massive.
I downloaded the "free edition", played through the arcade once with Sieg, uninstalled it. Why? Because I bought GBVS on launch, I also bought a lot of it's DLC characters. The reason I wasn't impressed by Rising was simple: it's 90% the exact same game. Just with a handful of new characters, crossplay, rollback netcode and a new mechanic. Paying full price for a new edition of the same game is too rich for me. It's Super Street Fighter 4. And guess who doesn't do Super Street Fighter anymore? Capcom. They stopped doing that for a good reason. But here we have Cygames and Arcsys doing the thing that Street Fighter stopped doing 8 years ago. Also, I remember that Capcom offered a substantial discount for owners of Street Fighter 4 when Super was released. It was like 50-75%. Rising on the other doesn't respect me as a customer of GBVS at all. I refuse to pay twice. Or thrice as you say.
He saying as free to play ik it's cool to hate on DOA 6 that still has better monetization then the game's people shilling today Everyone took DOA dlc bundles at face value while not knowing you could buy skin's separate for 2$ & 3$ at most sure as hell beat's the 6,10,20$ Skin's in the 70$ game's along the other shit they monetize😂
GBF's initial ranked options : 1. I never touched fighting games of my life 2. I know a bit of the fighting games 3. I'm good at it I think there's a slight understatement... it'd be more about : 1. I got couple 100s hours on FGs but still need to work on knowing all my options live 2. over 1000 hours of FGs, still have to improve at enemy psychology 3. It's been so long I dedicated my life to FGs that I forgot why. For a f2p game, very unfriendly for new FGs players. Other than the above, they added companions to help find out why you lost a fight, but you bet when you're nub, get ur butt nuked, and a loli happily tells you "You're being too agressive!", "You missed many punishes!", "I hope you're having fun!", you wish you could just split her head in half.
I think what i woukd wish for is let us pick 1 character for the free rotation. Like instead of giving us gram garunteed let us pick out of the roster each week, then you can test out characters OR stick with your main when you want to. And at least let free players join custom rooms even if you wont let them make one lol
Honestly, I think Rising shoulda taken the free-to-play route. Because there's so many individuals who refuse to purchase the game because of how similar it is to the first. If it went free-to-play, had lower season passes pricing, a battle pass, and a store with *FAIRLY* priced skins (SF6 take notes), then the game would definitely still make a lot of money. Especially if they make the Gatcha elements a bit more important, like for exclusive skins and whatnot.
I completely agree, adding a ton of live service stuff in a nearly full price, or straight up full price game like SF6 is ridiculous. While I don't mind switching characters every week, having to pay $70 to just play the character I want to main is hard to justify unless I'm playing in bracket which I likely won't be as the game isn't popular in my province. They should've committed if live service is what they were aiming for.
I usually get ignored when I say this but the best (and maybe only) live service fighting game has always been Brawlhalla and there the characters are not only unlockable by playing the game itself, but you can buy an "All characters" bundle with a fixed 30€ price (sometimes on sale too) that by the way not only includes all characters in the game, but also all future characters. Why? Because the monetization has to come from the cosmetics; skins, taunts, weapons, etc. Plus the Battle pass system has worked REALLY well for them. Oh and also you have unlocked all characters and skins by default in training mode so not only you can lab characters you don't have, you can also try skins to see if you want to spend the money to get them. Live service fighting games can be absolutely done well, but I'd say its developers (mostly japanese) are taking a lot of wrong decissions trying to get with the times. They took ages to do proper adaptations for console because they were stuck with arcade models, now its taking time too for them to realize how could they be profiting way more money by making the games free to play and improving their monetization strategies.
it's very great, I've dumped 20 hours into this game and triple digit matches and have yet to get tired of the 3 chars I can use, luckily djeeta and zeta were ones I used in the first game, and sieg is just heckin amazing....gran boring tho. actually my only nitpick about the free edition is that it should be 5 characters and that If gran is permanent, naturally his female counterpart should be too, they are literally the same existence. so make it Gran/Djeeta to more accurately reflect the game it's source material is from, then 3 rotations. oh and since I only play with my friends the lack of room match is an inconvenience as I have to find a lobby empty enough for my friends and I to all cram into. Though speaking honestly, the ONLY reason I'm free to play is I want djeetas eternal skin so I refuse to buy normal and I'm sale-waiting to get deluxe for reduced price.
🗣I LOVE BATTLEPASSES I LOVE HOW BECAUSE OF ONE POPULAR GAME I HAVE TO INVEST IN WHETHER OR NOT IM GONNA GIVE A SHIT ABOUT A GAME IN A MONTH OR TWO ENOUGH TO UNLOCK EVERYTHING OTHERWISE THATS TEN BUCKS DOWN THE DRAIN!!! 😀
What I was hoping was that it was the game but without online so I could of tried out the characters as I thought the roster looked really cool now I’m addicted to playing Siegfried
My biggest thing is that I strongly feel like the stem of a lot of these issues just come from Cygames portion of the game. I think they could of actually just updated the base game over time, and actually make this work out. Give a free version of the game? that's fine. I care more about playing with friends, GIVE me the ability to have custom lobbies with friends. AT LEAST give the free players the ability to join, maybe not create. (like in ff14 trial, you can't make parties, but you can still join them) I really wish this was instead of "rising" this was more similar to how they did Rev2. I appreciate that rev came out, I didn't play, but I could upgrade to 2, and get whatever I wanted much much later in the game cycle. Maybe it's not too late, they could totally do that, but I just don't think the game changes and cast is worth the crazy price point when I know I don't even want to play the game overall. I bought like, the first game for full price on release, what was it, like 80 bucks? and I only played maybe 40ish hours, and I feel like I didn't get my monies worth. Even with the free version, it feels like the game doesn't warrant a purchase. Maybe I'm wrong and it gets much better soon, but I still have hope that they'll at least make the game more fun without just bogging it up with transactions that don't really matter.
Calling it Demo Edition would be weird, I assume?
XD
It says "Free Edition" on the steam page, which for most games means you will have all the features of the main game with the missing content supplemented with micro-transactions. Absolutely nobody would buy micro-transactions on a demo, but a free edition can feign meaningful progression and perhaps catch a few bones here or there.
@@sharqzilla OH
@@altnova6643 what if you make like like 4 characters free and half of the rest characters obtainable through grinding make the rest and new ones DLCs make the rest of the characters worth leveling up for some currency for colors or something
@@pieees but then you run the risk of losing players that don't have a character they'd like to play in the starting roster, feeling like you're getting paywalled while ppl with free mains get a free game. I would refuse to grind with white bread Gran just to get to my main.
@@Unit27 but you are literally geting a game for free, and i literally took that model from league of legends and dead by daylight plus thats what you do if you want to sell people battle passes and skins

Yeah. I've heard about how shitty the prices can be in countries around there, and I really hope they can fix the prices.

Under night is still doing this model btw.
I mean, Granblue Rising is just an updated Granblue Versus as well. It may be a little more extensive than something like Xrd sign to Revelator, but it’s still completely built on the base of the original.
the only real issue i have with the free verssion is the no custom lobbies thing. i love casual clothes gran. he looks very nice and comfy
I have no friends that play anime fighting games so it didn't bother me
Live service games also work only for substantially larger playerbases than fighting games usually have.
Yeah, i just hope that "Project L" sets a good precedent.
@@agwatson6600 The game barely has cosmetic purchases. Wow an 8$ battle pass once every 45 days. When most skins in games cost 15 to 20. If they sold an individual character, they would lose so much money as most players would only purchase their main. Just be happy a free version exists in the first place.
I’m ngl a lot of this video just comes off as nitpicky & entitled to me
I’m all for criticizing Cygames & ASW when it’s warranted, but outside of no Room Matches in Free version (which sucks) & Regional Pricing (which REALLY sucks), the rest is fine
Limiting but like… yeah you’re not paying for it
This is NOT a F2P game, it’s a $50 game that happens to offer a Free version for you to test out the game
And if you like it enough, pay for the full game
This Free version didn’t need to exist, it would not affect how monetization or natural unlockables (which there’s already a large amount of cosmetic-wise in this game specifically) are handled already
Quite frankly I’m surprised they allowed this much content in it, it’s genuinely more than I expected to see
The fact this video only exists BECAUSE it was generous enough to give players this much without paying a penny rubs me the wrong way honestly
You know, listening to all of this talking about the Free version from you really just sounds like a you problem, lol.
Huh, I honestly love that monetisation is leaning into the cosmetics/cards etc perfectly happy for them to be restricted in the free version. Really hope this model works out, it kinda seems like a permanent demo which might also help keep player numbers up
The problem is this has been done BEFORE and FAR BETTER than this tho
How is the monetization leaning into cosmetics if they are selling characters? They are including all types of monetization and overpricing everything, it's horrible

@@Jjinxed009 did you even read what I said or are you just responding? 😭 I already answered that
@@SquallNoctisGUX that it’s been done better?
@@IgorJCorrea Every character is unlocked in the full version tho…?
skins, battles pass, season pass, deluxe edition,@@JGoro0

Like of course they want you to buy the full version, and this is an extremely generous model as-is
Yeah I got that too some fake outrage for content
Bro... it's a free trail... the only problem is the "no room lobby". But otherwise, it's literally meant to be a TRAIL, it's not designed to be played for long. The REAL problem with this game is the absurd lack of marketing for the F2P.

The REAL problem is the laughably bad monetization, come on dude.... people are praising paying 50 dollars for a game with a ton of MTs made of mostly recycled content.
The pricing situation is even worse in a lot of different countries, the game is x2 or even x3 the amount it should be
I personally really like that they have a free version, even though I'm having a ton of fun with the game I definitely don't plan on buying the full version, it's just way too expensive due to the lack of regional pricing. After having a ton of fun with the granblue beta I was fully resigned to the game releasing without regional pricing and not being able to buy it, so the game having a free version, limited as it is, I was extremely happy about, I definitely see myself grinding the game long-term with whoever comes up on the rotation
Also this is probably a hot take but I 100% prefer this to an actual f2p model, f2p sucks the enjoyment out of a game like nothing else because it turns it into a chore rather than something you play for fun.
This.
I totally agree with you. People deserves to pay 80$ for games at this point.
@@IgorJCorrea "copy and paste"? You clearly didn't play this or the previous version.
@@IgorJCorrea Bro you haven't even played the first game if you think it's copy and paste. It's like thinking Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 shouldn't be sold as separated game since there is Xrd.
Is this a US price? Because the game _is_ 70$ where I live.

What is Killer Instinct chopped liver?! Completely free base game with character rotation and the ability to only buy characters you are interested in, two free characters that are permanent (IIRC) for just participating in the shadow lords mode (rogue like campaign) and a full roster version that is far cheaper than some full price games by a significant margin
But gran blue seems to be doing interesting things in this vein
I think my biggest issue is that there is no way for you to unlock characters for free. Most live service games are pay for char or pay time for char. League has a free rotation but many ways to unlock the champion with game time which keeps the player base going. It's a goal. Otherwise the rest is okay. Even if they give you only two characters before you have to buy but in fighting games likely you only want one or two characters so sadly that wouldn't be good monetization. It's not really F2P it's a demo/trial because of that. The rest of it works like Gran Bruise.
This is such a bad take that u have to remove this channel from future recommendations

But this is such wasted potential currently. Let them purchase characters separately and experience it as a free to play model. It's a great answer to the free to play push that's happening but it just isn't quite there, because it's viewing itself as a demo. I gotta disagree with the stuff you're complaining about tbh. I think the free version is incredibly generous.

It's a little unfair to complain about having to pay for a full game experience when you are, indeed, getting a full game experience.
We fought for rollback and we won;
We fought for crossplay and we won;
Now we are fighting for fair prices and we WILL WIN, NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER !
At least now people are starting to notice
Screw this noise, I'm going back to BBCF...
You can though. Just join a public lobby.
At least they have a free demo
Free version is fine for what it is: Gives you a taste of the game while not being as a limiting as a demo.
$50 Fighting game: "This is fine, cool game"
$50 Fighting game with a free version that lets you access most of the game's content with some limitations to make sure the paid game is still worth buying: "What the fuck this sucks they completely fumbled it was almost good it would be so much better if the game was completely free and just copied way shitter ways to make money instead of being a normal ass game where you buy the game and get the content"
Yeah people are gonna dislike this video, because this is not a "win win" making every single aspect of the game paid on its own and filling it with microstransactions instead of just having free bonus content you get access to through grinding would be way, way worse.
I tried the free version and it made me want to buy the game so there plan definitely worked. I would of never got it if I wasn’t able to try it
Djeeta should be free with Gran as well.
DOA5 and KI had the best FTP versions of a fighter I’ve tried so far.
No she shouldn't have because she was also DLC in original. I swear to God it was a mistake to include a f2p version because once they give people an inch they'll take a mile
I just want to play 1 character: Kataline, do i have to buy the entire 50 euro game for her?
Idk man. I think it’s pretty chill….
💀💀💀
Riot is a for profit company so not a fucking hope
YOOOOOOOOOOOO I been wanting to try this game for a long time, if you never made this video ill never found out it was a free version to try
To this day, Dead or Alive 5 and 6 were still the best free to play fighting games we got.
6 was not good. But I agree w you on 5.
He saying as free to play ik it's cool to hate on DOA 6 that still has better monetization then the game's people shilling today
Everyone took DOA dlc bundles at face value while not knowing you could buy skin's separate for 2$ & 3$ at most sure as hell beat's the 6,10,20$
Skin's in the 70$ game's along the other shit they monetize😂
GBF's initial ranked options :
1. I never touched fighting games of my life
2. I know a bit of the fighting games
3. I'm good at it
I think there's a slight understatement... it'd be more about :
1. I got couple 100s hours on FGs but still need to work on knowing all my options live
2. over 1000 hours of FGs, still have to improve at enemy psychology
I'm surprised you didn't mention Multiversus
it's very great, I've dumped 20 hours into this game and triple digit matches and have yet to get tired of the 3 chars I can use, luckily djeeta and zeta were ones I used in the first game, and sieg is just heckin amazing....gran boring tho. actually my only nitpick about the free edition is that it should be 5 characters and that If gran is permanent, naturally his female counterpart should be too, they are literally the same existence. so make it Gran/Djeeta to more accurately reflect the game it's source material is from, then 3 rotations. oh and since I only play with my friends the lack of room match is an inconvenience as I have to find a lobby empty enough for my friends and I to all cram into. Though speaking honestly, the ONLY reason I'm free to play is I want djeetas eternal skin so I refuse to buy normal and I'm sale-waiting to get deluxe for reduced price.
I just wanna spend money for the game and get the base roster and that’s it, I feel like making it free is a weird choice
🗣I LOVE BATTLEPASSES
I LOVE HOW BECAUSE OF ONE POPULAR GAME I HAVE TO INVEST IN WHETHER OR NOT IM GONNA GIVE A SHIT ABOUT A GAME IN A MONTH OR TWO ENOUGH TO UNLOCK EVERYTHING OTHERWISE THATS TEN BUCKS DOWN THE DRAIN!!! 😀
What I was hoping was that it was the game but without online so I could of tried out the characters as I thought the roster looked really cool now I’m addicted to playing Siegfried
I hope they will at least allow to unlock characters with coins. I don't mind grinding for it.
