Yeah I was concerned when I saw officers firing shots in an apartment complex. Especially the range they were shooting from. A bystander could have been easily hit. On the other hand, he just shot an officer so I get that they can’t just sit there and do nothing.
It's not bravery. It's a thirst for action and excitement. I was a prison guard and I loved when doo doo hit the fan. I was always in the middle. It wasn't bravery. It was all about adrenaline. I know most people will argue me, but I know the truth. They want the excitement.
@@danroberts9050100% true about the adrenaline rush. That’s why the one cop got shot and he’s still up trying to shoot the guy. I’m with you 50/50 on the bravery aspect.. Because while I might not feel there is much bravery involved in taking part in an 8 v 1 shootout, there are other aspect’s of law enforcement (first responder’s) that involve a fair amount of bravery.

Was thinking the same. They missed multiple shots that would have been a walk in the park with a rifle. One of the officers missed at least 5 shots at a 40-50 yard distance. Not safe for anyone in the vicinity
@@GAme4life916while I agree, I say kudos to the Ogden police force for not providing ARs to standard field officers. In all but the most dangerous cities, only the SWAT need anything more than a 15 round pistol. @@glsracer Rifle will ALWAYS be an easy shot. I, respectfully, have to disagree vehemently with your opinion. Rifles allow for vastly increased capability and I would argue that bringing a rifle to an already active shootout is a great way to neutralize the threat. pretty much ALL cases with an active shooter the local Police officers NEED a rifle. You think it takes awhile for local pd to show up, bet it takes longer for the swat guys to run to their locker rooms, get geared up, and out the door to head to you. I can't believe not one officer had a rifle or a shot gun. Might have been able to put this guy down sooner. I'm glad no civilians were injured. And hopefully the officer is going to be ok. Scary situation for sure
How many rounds were fired and where did they end up. It's unbelievable that no one else was hit by all that lead flying around. Agree one officer should of had a long gun.

I would NOT thank these officers. They literally started a war in civilian neighborhood trying to catch one single not trained guy with the gun. Just try to count how many shots those officers fired with no damage to the suspect before they finally get that guy shot down. It's unbelievable! As a civilian I whish to see professionals who well trained and know what they're doing and not starting shootout on the streets with a million shots fired. I appreciate their sacrifice but as I said that would be better if they would be trained well.
they know what they are doing, how else are you suppose to defend off an armed person who is literally firing rounds at you? they basically did the only logical thing to try and stop him. Police officers are trained professionally and know their way around a firearm. Its also really hard to concentrate on the target when you are getting fired at aswell. The average M1911 also isnt good for medium ranges and its accuracy is harder to predict at further ranges, so them managing to take the criminal down is very impressive.@@andersspiegel1216
wrong firearm, the gun they are using is the glock 21 im pretty sure. But still, its hard to aim when your getting shot at and when your also radioing at the same time.
I've watched more than a few of videos like this and I've got to say that's a heck of a lot of bullets flying around in a residential area, these confrontations are really worrisome because no telling where those missed shots are going. Instead of pistols they should use a scoped rifle and hit their target easier.
I liked their communication with each other and they were all cool, calm and collected, even the officer that got shot. Sounded very professional and I'm glad the officer and the others are ok. This should be a training video for all officers to learn how to conduct themselves in a situation like this, instead of all of them yelling, screaming and shooting like maniacs.
