I met "Liz Struss" at uni once. I wasn't student or staff, I just parked there because the buildings stood-out enough I'd remember where I left the car. LIV came along and insisted on helping me change the oil... I'm not sure why, but when we finished she said something about qualifying for Popular Mechanics. I gave her a tenner to get us fish & chips, but she came back with a weird mix of pork & cheese - and I somehow owed the vendor another £100...
LIV was keen to go hunting for something she called the "Fox Populi" - but I had to declare myself morally opposed to the hunting of foxes (well, except Laurence). Just before we parted ways , I mentioned to her that with a bit of oil (different kind), one could make Pop Corn from mere kernels. LIV insisted her Tory friends were already exploded light & puffy enough, and that her side step-uncle had actually been in the military, and passed beyond colonel to major.
Life goes on here, and I thank you (Ms Skinner) for making it brighter. Cheers !
