    Thanks for such a great explanation and round up. And thanks for including 'The Transformation Problem' as well. In all this mind-boiling complexity surrounding economics. I think it's interesting to throw in that in the sport of ultra-long distance running, it seems women have been out-competing men - in most (shorter) running events the opposite is true. I looked at a study a while back; they looked at three aspects of performance: heart and lung capacity, muscle mass compared to body weight, and running style - on paper, in 2 out of these 3 measures men should have the advantage. And yet it seems purely in terms of running style that women were able to beat men (you can argue whether or not this relates to burning of more energy rich fats vs less energy rich carbohydrates in women vs men respectively I guess).
