I’m new to paper crafting and mixed media and lack inspiration and knowledge on the subject so your channel has guided and educated me. I’m a ‘sewist’,crochet and embroidery person but want to expand my hobbies. The amount of tips, knowledge and inspiration you have given me has helped so much. The clusters etc to get you going really inspire me to do something daily. Who knew how incredibly inspiring pieces of paper could be. Yes there is so much to learn and this is a craft in itself but I’m off to a good start because of your videos. Thank you. You have made an old lady very young😂❤️.
This sweet comment… well, it’s everything. Being able to encourage and support crafters, both “new” and “old”, and to share ideas and techniques and inspiration… it’s why I do this. Thank you for taking the time to comment and let me know that the videos are helpful ♥️
Cori - you really don’t need to apologize for the length of your videos. We are so grateful for all the instructions and creative ideas you bless us with. I, for one, very much appreciate your squirrels, since it’s my reality too. I just love these little folios and will definitely watch this video again to follow your steps. You caution us ahead of time, so I make note of what to and not to do before I start the project. Thank you again and again for sharing your time and talents with us. 🥰
Thank you for your kindness Kate. I know many prefer shorter videos, so I feel guilty when I post the longer ones. I appreciate the reminder that sone folks like the more detailed projects 😊
Sometimes seeing mistakes or taking longer to explain something helps the novice folks like me who are just taking the first leap into paper crafting. This was very helpful to watch (and rewind a couple times 😁). Thank you!
I love this! And please don’t ever apologize for the length of the video! I could watch and listen to you for hours!! You give great directions and I love the fact you don’t edit mistakes out and keep it real! Thank you for this great idea!
Hello Corey🙋♀️, sometimes it is good to watch your thought process/correct something you don’t like. Because as a viewer, I learn a lot from you also in that aspect I am glad to see paper crafters make mistakes and show how to correct them. Love ❤️ this idea. You are one smart cookie 😊. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and creativity with all of us. Laura, Army and Marine Mom
This looks fun. The nice thing about junk journaling is if you goof up there is so many ways to fix an error. Thanks for the realness of your videos! Enjoyed the video with you and Gayle. I’m doing catch up on videos.
This is really cute! I’ve got a lot of 12”x12” papers and it’s nice to do something a bit different than just chopping them up to make pockets and tags 😁
Love these one sheet wonders Cori, and yours is awesome! I will be making these and look forward to seeing how you put 5 of them together! Glad you had a relaxing time with Gayle and the other lovely ladies!
Cori - I don’t consider those mistakes, they are optional ways of assembly. I love your videos and I’m sure it’s exhausting for you, but we love hearing you teach us; never too long for me! Hugs from Norcal
Great project -TFS! I feel like I'm there w/ you as you create these wonders!! Love the exclamations as you go: preventing us from making a potential error! Don't care re: length of video either. You're being real & teaching us exactly how to make this! I need to know all the steps so keep talking!! Yes M'am, I am here for all of it! Thank you so much. xo from Michigan
Can't wait to see how you construct the other four then put all fivetogether to make one journal. My friend texted me so excited about this project and what a coincidence! I was working on the same one! Don't keep us in the dark too long. What a fabulous project!😍
I really like the look of your closure of the gusseted pocket. I hadn’t seen the thread brought through the bottom of the pocket before. I agree it looks so much better.
Awesome video... I am a long time Julie fan so I am loving other ways to make this 12x12 insert! I am also a long time Gayle fan and ever since she interviewed you at the retreat I've been binge watching your older videos learning ALOT and gathering tons of inspiration! TY! I personally love a long video and the way you explain things is just superb! Thank you!
Great video Cori!! I don't mind the longer videos at all!! I like watching the videos that don't do a whole lot of editing and shows how to fix mistakes/errors!! I find I learn much better that way!! I can't wait to see your journal with 5 of these in it!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Thank you for this! I've been watching several of these one sheet wonders lately. Loved this one. I love the way you explain things, especially fixing your mistakes. I love those fixes. And I'm one who loves long videos so please don't apologize.
Thanks Cori it is so nice to see you go through what we go through, not always perfect. Great to see your human and willing to share your expertise and ideas with us, really appreciate it! I always enjoy your videos!
That is so cool Cori! Thank you!!! I will watch it again and then try to make it. Will also use Timmy paper because it's meant for this type of ephemera!!! Have a good end of the year. I know how crazy it gets!
Hi Cori! Great tutorial! Cant wait to give this a try! I love your clear directions and your creativity. You always inspire me! I really enjoyed the interview you did with Gayle. It was so nice to get to know you better! Thank you for all you do for the crafting community! 💖💕Hugs!
This is a great project! I always enjoy learning new ways to create interesting pockets and inserts. I also like to see your problem solving when things go hay-wire! It helps to know you experts can figure out ways to make the "opps" sections work for you in the end.
So happy you showed us how to create this 12x12 folio.I look forward to seeing how they will all go together as one!!!! I will be creating a few of these myself..thanks Cori
Thanks for showing us the step by step to assure success. 🙂 I had not watched Julie's one page wonder (yet) but intended to. She is SO much fun to watch. I asked her if her name was Camelia. She said, "No, my channel is named for the flower, Camelia." 🤦♀ Never mispronounced it after that. BTW, loved watching your "interview" at Gail's retreat.
This was great to see, I'm a newbie to journaling as I just followed my first folio tutorial and did it 😂 and that's my experience. So it's great to see the oopsies so that I can watch out and learn from so thank you very much for leaving them in!! Have a great day, looking forward to watching many more of your videos!
Always a JOY to watch your masterful creations! So clever sweet Cori! Wicked easy too.... TY for the tutorial!! Next wk on vacation to celebration our 28th wedding anniversary and will give a try! BTW stepping out of my comfort-zone and hosting a virtual crafty-session with faithful sisters! I know lol! I'm being BOLD! Oh I believe your sweet dd will be marrying soon and your traveling? Wishing all the best and enjoy your time-off! Look fwd seeing the mini book folio... Be blessed!
Thank you and yes! June flew by and July is looking like it will too. Happy anniversary and I hope you fully enjoy your vacation celebration. Best wishes for a successful and fun-filled LIVE!
Wonderful project, Cori, using up our 12x12 papers! I appreciate seeing your solutions to what you consider problems/issues/errors. There is great learning for us in that process! Thank you! 😀💞
As always!! I love love love this!!! I am in-between journals, so I think that I may put 5 of these together and see how this all works!!! Tomorrow is going to be a cluster making day, so looks like Sunday is gonna be a pamphlet making day!!!!! Hopefully you're end of school is in sight!! I spent my first week in bed with an awful virus some little person gave me lol!!!
This is an awesome adjustment to the original which I tried but I have a scorepal and it doesn't have as many score measures. I worked it out but it was a headache haha. I might have to have another headache and try your variation. You're amazing. Thanks for sharing. X
Thanks for the video. I have made many of these from Julie's video. I make them for people instead of buying cards. I write my own sentiment and add a gift cad. I love your videos and look forward to vieing them.
Cori, what a terrific idea to make these 12"x12" one sheet wonders into a journal. I hope you will do a flip thru when you get it finished. I love your work.
Wish I could send you my attempt at this. You'd get a kick out of it. Did have directional paper and thought I was good until you said the 5 inch piece needs to be on the left. Well, it's done. To be true to direction, it opens from the left .. which is ok since I will sew it into the center of a signature. The flip up is a flip down. I just kept going laughing as I went ! Still usable but going to do it again exact because it was going to be my first entry into an idea book. Too funny. Thanks so much for your videos. I love them!
Oh my goodness Cori! I tried this 2x and didn't get it right! What is wrong with me? I'm not going to give up and will try again. If it wasn't so darn cute, I wouldn't bother. It's adorable!!!!
Thanks Cori. I noticed you had a couple of tea cards in there. I wonder if you any ideas of things you can do with tea cards other than popping them in pockets? Debbie x
Thank you Debbie! I collaged really/cigarette cards once for a journal cover, and I combined some another time to make a gift card. A few less pretty cards I had were made into pieces for scrap clusters. Maybe I should do a 10 ways video for cigarette/tea cards. Squirrel 🐿
HI, I love your videos and the organization of your craft room. Every weekend I go out of town and take some of my craft supplies with me. Lately, I feel like all I am doing is packing an unpacking. Fortunately, I have a to go tool bag I always take with me. When I am creating ephemera for my junk journal, I feel like I have to take 8 bags just to make some ephemera. I have my craft room organized by putting similar things together like your lace is in one place on spools. So I take a little bit from one section and a little bit from another section, and before long I have 8 bags. Then, when I get home I have to take it all back out again. Do you have any suggestions, how I can have a permanent to go bag and the organization of this bag?
Hmmmmm, that’s tough! For short visits like a day or two or crop events I would create project bags/bins. Keeping items together you want to use for a specific project makes things quick and easy. Then, when you complete the project in one bag/bin, you can put away leftover bits then assemble a new one.

I appreciate that, thank you!
You craft to perfection- and to EXCITEMENT!
Always feel so great when we can use up most of a 12 x 12 paper. Thanks for sharing. So many ways you could make this your own spin.
So very true! I’ve made about a dozen so far, all with different folds, but in the same overall size. It’s kinda fun, actually 😊
yes.. looked at many 12 x 12 projects.. all are good but I'm picking this 1 to do.. thank you! I love your directions..I'm new to this too!
Have fun with it 💕
Oh wow I absolutely love your take on this. Thank you so much for the shout out Cori ☺️🤗💜

My whole weekend just got a little bit brighter! Thank you for this idea. Can’t wait to see how you join 5 together to make a journal.
And now my weekend is a little brighter as well. Thank you Amy 💕

Cori thank you so much for this tutorial! I found it easy to follow and love that you made an oops and saved it with scraps! Hugs....
Thank you Kath and yep, scraps with the win!

Stamperia paper is simply magnificent. So glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome, Cori. I have to make one, right now. Thank you so much for your inspiration.

Thank you Keryn! It seems each project, even when following a pattern and directions, offers it’s own set of challenges 😊
I loved this when Julie did it and it is great to see new variations. Thank you so much!
I’m really enjoying trying new ways to make Julie’s darling one sheet wonder 😊
I love things I can make without creating more scraps! Also like that I can add this to a journal or it can stand alone. 💗
Thank you Janet. My goal with all of these is to have only itty, bitty tossable scraps left at the end of these folios 😊
As always!! I love love love this!!! I am in-between journals, so I think that I may put 5 of these together and see how this all works!!! This is an awesome adjustment to the original which I tried but I have a scorepal and it doesn't have as many score measures. I worked it out but it was a headache haha. I might have to have another headache and try your variation. You're amazing. Thanks for sharing. X
Oh man, you’re right! Scorepal doesn’t give as many options. Truly, with this folio, close enough is good enough. I’m sure you’ll do great!
Hello Cori, love how this came out it is just fabulous, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Denise. It was a fun way to use more paper 😊
Just what I was thinking about making! Thank you so much
You’re welcome. I hope you enjoy the process 😊
great project you gave great instructions
So inspiring...can't wait to try. Thank you
You’re welcome and I hope you enjoy the process!
I LOVE THIS! Most of my cardstock is 8x11, not 12x12 - but the way you cut this up it will be easy to adapt and do a mix'n'match on my stock colors.
There are so many options with this! It should be pretty straight forward to alter it using one or two sheets of smaller c/s.
Thanks for the video. I have made many of these from Julie's video. I make them for people instead of buying cards. I write my own sentiment and add a gift cad. I love your videos and look forward to vieing them.
Thank you Melissa and what a lovely idea! I definitely would consider this a handmade card and you’re friends are lucky to receive them from you ♥️
This is such a fun folio. Cori you give great directions. Thanks for sharing 💕🌴😍
My pleasure Annette and thank you 😊
I I’m going to make one of these! Thank you for sharing 😍
You’re very welcome and I hope you have fun with it!
Cori, what a terrific idea to make these 12"x12" one sheet wonders into a journal. I hope you will do a flip thru when you get it finished. I love your work.
I will and thank you 😊
Love it! This is my second time watching it. I've only need to make the pages and it will be done. :)
This is great Cori, hope you don't mind if I use it for my craft group on Monday. I will of course say where the idea came from. xx
Very good video. Love that it was long!!
Thank you Daisy!
Definitely gotta try this one! You are such an inspiration!
Thank you 💕
I like your adaptation of the folio. The single flap pocket makes it a little less bulky when adding to a journal. TFS🙂
I’m definitely all about options! Thank you Betty 😊
Thanks for sharing, Cori! 🤗💕

Love it! I will be making it very soon.

You’re welcome Sandra. Have fun with it!
This is lovely, new on your page.
Thank you 😊!
Thank you and welcome! 😊
Love it, editing is over-rated
LOL. Thank you!
Fun! Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Love this, so many possibilities 🤔😊
I’m having fun figuring out different ways to trim, fold and layer this basic format. You’re spot on. So many possibilities!
Oh my goodness Cori! I tried this 2x and didn't get it right! What is wrong with me? I'm not going to give up and will try again. If it wasn't so darn cute, I wouldn't bother. It's adorable!!!!
I hope you were able to figure it out. If not, please let me know.
Love this! I was hoping you were going to show us this one!
Thank you Ronda. I’m happy you like it 😊
